Solars suffer from being The Best At Everything when every splat is capable of superhuman feats from chargen. They really need to lean into light, law, and leadership themes. The are the rightful rulers of Creation returning in mankinds darkest hour in order to usher in a new age of splendour, but you wouldn't know this fream reading anything in Ex3.

In second edition, how much soak/hardness do you need for it to be an unreasonable level of defense? At what point does it go from "that's a reliable way to survive" to "God damn it Steve you're forcing the ST into an arms race just to damage your character?"

You could probably create charms based around a lack of light (in stealth) and a lack of law (in larceny). Lack of leadership might be more difficult, but could probably fit it in Bureaucracy.

I pick something I want them to be good at, then choose charms & artifacts that are both mechanically sound and would be fun to use, like Blind Impulse Strike.

For Dawn I have no Ability points yet, but it'll likely be either Brawl 2 or Melee 2.

So for Favoured Abilities I thought something along the lines of

Methinks you should rework Craft (Traps) as Craft (Engineering) or somesuch. Leave trap disabling for Larceny.

Exalted has some of the worst enemy design I've ever seen just god damn. That's impressively bad. He kills circle of exalted during the first age? the fuck lol. There is also some bear in one of the books that's immortal unless you do one of the worst quests I've read in a long ass time. Why the fuck are PC's consistently the funnest thing to fight in every edition. Why haven't they fixed that yet.

At least this one doesn't have some boring ass "When it dies it comes back" attached to it.

I keep bouncing between RWBY, Pathfinder, Naruto, Highschool DxD, Eberron, and Worm /Exalted crossover quest ideas as well as the pure Exalted one. Can't get my shit together and strap down with one singular idea and get on with it.
