Thoughts on abhumans?
>>96538380FUN!
>>96538380They're fun. Its a shame that GW does abhuman lore by naming a few specific subspecies rather than broad classifications, I'd prefer more generic alternatives than specifically using longshanks, ratlings, ogryns, felinids, ect, who all seem to be from specific places. It makes it feel more like an attempt to inject fantasy races (which it is) rather than something more sci-fi, and it'd make it easier to justify including abhumans. At present, I'd need a pretty good reason to include a longshank or something similar in my games. Conceptually, abhumans are cool, and when writing an area in 40k I like using minor abnormalities as flavor. Its a good way to add character.
Grox Cum Bags.
>>96538380Breed the "cow" Sisters.
>>96538380Poor Longshanks getting absolutely mowed down by Black Templars.
>>96538662
>>96538440I feel similarly, but I wound up just transplanting longshanks into my own scifi setting since they have so little in mainline 40k
>>96538726Same desu. Though I had more inspiration from the Alliance/Union books and their portrayal of a spaceborne culture than 40k. I like the idea of a grav-adapted race.
>>96538380I think you should stick with subhumans in your general
>>96538380I don't give a single fuck about Warhammer or anything to do with it. So I have none.
>>96538772Maybe you should log off the warhammer board then
>>96538380Think they should be nicer to the cow ones.
>>96538380I prefer the no-ab humansYep, the chest region is just directly attached to the legs. No abdominals needed.
>>96538707You think that will stop me? You underestimate my zeal.
>>96538380variety adds spice to life, and I like the idea of ogyns being comic relief due to being lovable dummies.
I, for once, am glad nu-40k is bringing more spotlight to abhuman
>>96539200>>96539247
>>96538675Mossa is too powerful
>>96538894It clearly isn't the Warhammer board considering Warhammer shit also gets spammed on every other board. Jannies won't contain the spam because it drives up engagement.
>>96540978I will bring in the next generation of cow humans FOR THE EMPEROR!
>>96538380I don't like gw trying to force beastmen into being a chaos thing. They are cooler in-universe as a barely tolerated race forced to serve and suffer for an empire that does not like them. In chaos armies they just become mutants by any other name.
>>96538380They are cute
>>96538380>>96538675>>96543572Are there any STL or 3rd party of a tall Navy person? I wondered about converting one from Navy Breachers or Solar Auxilia, but feels like too much work.
>>96543677>Find a breacher stl>z scale 200%>Replace head>bonus points for finding a posable one so you can adjust z scale by parts
>>96541825I kinda like the notion that they're a primordial form of Chaos as bizarre and alien to the common Chaos adherent as regular Chaos is to a normal person. But you're correct in that they're incredibly lackluster.
>>96538380clearly superior to humans
>>96554764Holy based if tru???
>>96554764And that's why we love him.
>>96554764Another good reason he is /ourguy/
>>96538675>>96543572I genuinely do not understand how anyone can consider this an appealing art style. Every character this guy draws looks like a washed out crack whore.
>>96555364You just don't get it man
>>96555369Obviously not.
>>96554764Revealed? Everyone here already knew this, redditor.
>>96555364meet more crackwhores. theyre fun to talk to
>>96538380Ratlings have pretty soulful character designs in the Kill Team box. Glad GW added them and allowed you to bring some big retards along for the fun. Hobbits are pretty comfy characters
>>96540978Old WF lore had mercenary beastmen working for the Empire
girl power
Heroes can come from anywhere
>>96556649>Heroes can cum from anywhere
>>96538440>. Its a shame that GW does abhuman lore by naming a few specific subspecies rather than broad classificationsI mean that is how abhumans are distinguished from mutants, abhumans are essentially stable human subspecies
>>96556599Does anyone know what types of abhumans appear in the image?
>>96556725Left to right:Astropath, Beastwoman, Ratling, Ogryn, Felinid, Longshank, Nightsider, Navigator.
Does anyone know what the current status of all known abhuman races is?
>>96556786What do you mean status? They all still exist but none except Ogryns are relevant. Beastmen straddle the edge of being declared abominable mutants depending on where in the Imperium they are. Any abhuman faces the risk of being beaten and burned alive in a pogrom if they happen to visit the wrong planet or station.
>>96556990ratlings and squats are relevant because they have tabletop models. beastmoids too but only in chaos armies. we simply need longshank waifus added to the imperial agents or imperial guards.
>>96556990The squats are the only ones who will not be burned publicly because if they were, the image says it all.
>>96556649I like this picture, even if it is creepy.
>>96554764You should assume this just by looking at his twitter feed, but he is also a great artist aside of that, and eternally /tg/-related.
>>96556761>AstropathAre they abhumans? I thought that they are just psykers and that the implication of the image is that blacks are abhumans
>>96557317>and that the implication of the image is that blacks are abhumansThat's probably a deliberate joke, but she's there representing psykers, who are abhumans.
>>96556761>>96556761it's a negro actually
>>96556649
>>96555364ok
>>96556599Ah, the worst abhuman of them all, the nigger
>>96557270>but he is also a great artist aside of thatThat's how you knowEvery artist or creative mind is like that
>>96554764>South Korean artist turns out to be a horrible degenerateLiterally nobody was surprised by that "revelation".
>>96557024Bringing back the old Imperial Beastmen concept would be a fun kit.
>>96557024>beastmoids too but only in chaos armies. You can always kitbash some yourself
>>96557024>only in chaos armiesWe used to be a proper wargame.
>>96538380the abhussy got me acting quite unwise
