One tells only the truth, the other tells only lies.
So, which is which?
>>96542083THE truth or truthfully? Can I ask it when I'll die or what's the perfect birthday gift for my mmom?
>>96542157One says yes, the other one says no.
>>96542083"Which one of you will tell me what I want to know?"
Kill cat one, ask cat 2 if the first is dead
Both will meow loudly until you give them food.
"One of us only tells the truth, and one of us ONLY TELLS LIES!""I SAID I was sorry!"
>>96542083>so what would your buddy say if I asked him what the correct choice is?>meow
>>96542083Basted creatures.
>>96542186Wouldn't they both just say something like, "I will."
Ask them who wants some catnip, then we'll know which one is lying by refusing the offer. GGEZ
>>96542157>Can I ask it when I'll die"Truthfully, I do not know the answer."
>>96542083"Who tells the truth? Tell me what the other cat would awnser"
>>96542083Wtf why does the one on the left look like a literal gremlin
>"How many fingers am I holding up?"
>>96544577This is a real cat?
>>96542083I give pets and chin scratches eto both.
>>96542083They can talk, that means they can consent.
>>96545007He is absolutely a cat and assuredly not a Goblin, don't be ridiculous.
>>96542083This statement is false.
>>96542083Dude, your rabbits are fucking ugly.
>>96545658Anon. Don’t.
>>96546034Umm… True. I’ll go with ‘true’.
>>96542083So what? They're cats. They don't know anything and they can't speak English.
>>96542153Easy ask each of them if they're cats. The one that says no is the one that lies.
>>96546768A cat is fine too desu
>>96545007His name is Pixel.
Santa’s little helper
>>96542803can cats lie?do they have theory of mind?closest I can think of is stealth, but I don't know if that behavior is instintive or if it derives from an understanding of the point of view of the preymaybe the thing they do when they fall or miss a jump and start licking themselves to pretend they didn't fuck up?
>>96545658No one consents to you or your smells.
>>96548081My cat often "tricks" me by pretending to run one direction and then sneaking around from the opposite direction to "catch" me. He's very aware that he can make other beings look toward one spot and use the situation to approach unseen from behind. He employs this tactic all the time when hunting actual prey outside.
>>96542083I take both.
>>96542083can I pet both?
>>96548081Ever seen videos of cats stumbling and then pretending nothing happened? That's a form of lying.
>>96548080It would be chemically and spiritually impossible to be depressed with this creature living in one's home.
>>96548081They can deceive and feint, so they have a basic understanding that living things around them have intent. Also, they can suck up, which is a pretty good indication. my old cat whenever I'd get mad because she'd steal food from plates or whatever, she'd run up to my foot and just make a cute face looking at me and it worked every fucking time. Cats are smarter than what many people would make you believe, they just aren't smart at all compared to the usual top 10 big brain animals we use as benchmark because our perception of what is smart is skewed as fuck. Also, I think there's a lot a variation. The whole "my cat is actually a dog" meme isn't so wrong, some cats really do give the impression of being significantly more 'there' than the majority.
>>96559375>some cats really do give the impression of being significantly more 'there' than the majorityI think a lot of it has to do with upbringing and training. If you're a retard who just lets your cat roam around and gives it no mental stimulus and doesnt teach it anything then it will be a tard cat. If you teach your cat to sit, stay, shake and come to you on command then it will be smarter than most other cats. Most cats have this ability, but most cat owners are retards who think "you can't train cats" so their cats end up being retards, like their owners.
>>96542153Common you know which.
>>96548081I used to have a cat that would imitate the meow of one of my other cats because he knew I would let her in the room when I was working but not him. He only ever used that tone behind a closed door and he stopped mimicking her after she passed away.
>>96542083I forget the question I'm supposed to ask and I'm not smart enough to have come up with the question AND I'm not sure I'd entirely understand the answer anyway.Something about what would the other one say...
>>96542083"Which one of you is cute?"Obviously the correct answer is "both"
>>96554640You can. However, they will both bite you.One will bite you playfully, the other seriously.Choose carefully.
>>96559831The OP left out the part about them guarding two doors. One will certainly kill you and one lets you go free. You can only ask one question. The trick is to ask one of them which door the other guard would point to that lead to death. Not which door is the death door. By phrasing it this way, they'll both point to the death door.
>>96560174>that would lead to deathWrong, they'll both point to the life door.Ask the liar and he'll say the truthful one will point to the death door, which is the lie. Ask the truthful one and he'll say the liar will say the the liar points to the life door, which is also a lie. Ask the liar which door leads to life and he'll point to the death door, as will the truthful one. But ask the truthful one the way to salvation and he'll point to himself. So really you need to ask either guard which door doesn't open inward and he'll point directly behind him. This is the trick: if you walk inward, you can't ascend. But the door opens inward, not outward.I hope you learned something for a change.
>>96542083>"did you guys already get fed?">"no.">"y-- uh, meowwww."
>>96560126no cost too greatI do both
>>96542083"Does your bowl have food in it?"
>>96542083Is this thread about traditional games?
>>96560174you just ask them a fuckin question you know the answer to u dummy>how many fingers am I holding up>what is my name>what colour is the sky>who is the current president
>>96560575No, this is the thread to bait wannabe mods.
>>96544577What a trustworthy fellow, he's perfectly suited to be my grand vizier
>>96561409>who is the current president>"Who the fuck is Mike Johnson?"
>>96542083Ask one cat what the other cat would say. The opposite is the answer.
>>96548081If you take a bee, carry her out into the middle of a lake, and show her a whole bunch of tasty food in the middle of the lake, then let her free, she will fly back to the hive, do a little jig that says "lots of good food, middle of the lake," and all the other bees will ignore her because come on, there's no food in the middle of the lake.So probably cats, being much smarter than bees [citation needed] have enough brainpower to understand deception.
