Depends on the setting. Is this some setting where Aasimar have some angel in their ear telling them how to act, or they fall? Some hyper autistic society that puts all the pressure on you for being born holy, so you need to live and behave the part? Or is this some Critical Role like place where being a Tiefling comes with literally no downsides, because discrimination there isnt a thing? Will i be a social outcast as a Tiefling, if i live in setting X? Will some weird fucks try to harvest my blood or sacrifice me on a altar or some shit if im Aasimar in setting Y? Provide more information, anon.
What does Tiefling oppression even look like?You want to play a character who doesn't get to roleplay because all the NPCs don't want to be associated with literal devil spawn? Constantly getting insulted and chased out of every town? Be a drain on the party's resources as every merchant jacks up the price for everything when they're willing to sell your character something?

And even if it is still playable, you will make the constant harrassment the main focus all the time. Variety is key. Have SOME merchants and guards and tavernkeeps be assholes. But contrast them with people who show you a heart of gold. Or some mistrusting folk, who can convince and sway to your side. Or those who just dont give a fuck and treat you normal anyways.

That said, I'd have preferred it if they had a trait table like the original tiefling one, because there should ALSO be room for aasimar that look nearly or fully human.
