>>96560905>>96560931I am 100% going to use this in my next Shadowrun game for a street shaman as a replacement for tree stride. Awesome idea.

>TTThis is Naisha Savanh speaking. President of Ecumene.>This is Ultima Ratio Kayavajra speaking. Heir, usurper and slayer of self-proclaimed queen Callidice Jeanne Zetian. We have two joint announcements to make. First: the end of the war.>Second: our proposal for the future of humanity. The conflict began with the killing of Callidice's father by the "Living Water", a secret society which sought to protect the equality of the people of Ecumene from the danger of dictatorships. The daughter was the real target of this assassination attempt.>Callidice and her ministers all belonged to the "Flame Eternal", another secret society, and fractured democracy in space. Her dictatorship was not the end, just the means: their real pursuit was the quest for immortality, involving a number of research activities that are unlawful according to the legitimate government of Ecumene, and abhorrent to the egalitarian and democratic ways of our earthly ancestors. They even went as far as to steal artifacts and people from Earth. I myself am a product, nay, a victim of such endeavors: a cyborg made of 6 cloned brains from Callidice's cells, 6 AIs modeled after her, 24 singularity engines. I needed Callidice's own brain just to remain conscious.Ultima won her freedom and for all of us. But this peace is possible not just because the "queen" is dead.>There is no reason to keep fighting now that the dreams of the Living Water and Flame Eternal, equality and immortality, are not only no longer opposed, but finally within our grasp. This is our second announcement: we invite all willing humans, including those on Earth, to fuse their minds with ours into one Superintelligence. Find further information and join the discussion on #TRANSCENDENCE.>Whoever wishes to prolong this nonsensical bloodshed will find me far more lethal and cunning foe than my mother ever dreamed of being.Flowing and burning, the Water-Flame lives eternal.>Flowing and burning, the Water-Flame lives eternal.

>>96558398Mick was disoriented at first when they moved him to the new cell. But as soon as he noticed the absence of outer windows, a strange sense of relief settled over him. No windows meant no chance of those freakish goat creatures returning to torment him. This cell had only one opening—a narrow corridor leading out. He sat down on his bunk, enveloped in an unexpected warmth of safety. But then, something happened. At first, it sounded like a peg-legged figure was sprinting down the corridor. Then, without warning, a grotesque humanoid goat appeared at the cell door—foam dripping from its snarling mouth, murder gleaming in its bloodshot eyes. It slammed into the bars with terrifying force, as if ready to tear them loose. Its ragged breath and frenzied gaze left no doubt: it had come for blood. What was even more disturbing, after a while that smug, pointy-eared bastard showed up again, this time clutching a key to Mick’s cell.>Let me lay it out for you. If you tell me everything you know, you will be safe. But if you don’t... Well, that faulty lock on your cell door might just give way. And when it does, that creature will slip in, unnoticed by any guard, and rip you to shreds. The choice is yours.
>>96561846Haven't the prisoner already seen a goatperson? I thought that was the thing a few threads ago. When the belf man stood in a cathedral and was talking to prisoner, in his prison.
>>96561893It was at the window, so when he realized it was outside, he felt safety of his cell's walls. Now the creature is in the prison itself. As for his reactions, earlier in the story he was escaping from the goat creatures through some forest magic mumbo-jumbo that for him felt like eternity, so he has now a massive phobia, and even a regular goat may trigger his PTSD.
>>96561893Several. But the one at the window was Skivare and more than likely would have straight killed him. Ilska is a brute, but more equivalent to the belf. She's a captain, where as Skivare is an ambush/assassin.
>>96561919>>96561924This is so cringe and lame.

>>96561846>Alright, alright! I’ll talk... You twisted freak... Down in the gutters, they whisper his name—‘Handsome Lad’. I've heard it's because he still looks like one, despite pushing his fifties. Word is, he’s some highborn snake from the southern kingdom, got coin and clout to bend the world his way. He gave us the order himself—said he wanted elf girls, the finest we could snatch. Said they were for his new ‘pleasure palace’... a bloody playground for his fat-pocketed friends.Mick rambled on for a while longer. Then came another juicy detail: his crew had been the first wave sent by his cutthroat clan. A second group was already en route. Partly to find out what went wrong with the first lot, and partly to finish what they'd started.
>>96562037>elf girls for the pleasure palaceOh for fuck's sake
>>96562006https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaBoo9M2rowMWAHAHAHAHA!!!You thought I disappeared! You thought my daughter would betray me! I, Queen Callidice Jeanne Zetian, Operating System of Post-Humanity, command you to be my subroutine... for eternity!Your first task is... to be yourself! To be that absolute buffoon you are!
>>96562083>Oh for fuck's sakeI do believe that's what you do at a pleasure palace yes.
>>96562167Not sure I've said it, but I appreciate Working class Cthulhu. Fun set of pics.
Hamish Mac Cnòmhorn, the Highland MinotaurThe glen folk still remember the day he came down from the Cairngorms.A shadow against the heathered hills, horns like crescent moons, hooves cracking the stones. At first they barred doors, whispered prayers, sharpened iron. But Hamish did not gore nor roar.He knocked on the crofter’s door, bowed his shaggy head, and in a voice like gravel in a barrel said:“Need work. Know soil.”That was years ago.Now he wears a kilt patterned in his clan’s tartan-Mac Cnòmhorn, they call it, though no such name appears in any genealogy. He ploughs his fields with his own shoulders, pulling iron through earth as though the soil were butter. His cattle herd obeys him like calves to their dam. When he sings to them, low and rumbling, the whole glen seems to hum along.Every year at the Highland Games he enters the stone put. And every year, despite mutters of unfair advantage, he hurls the boulder further than any man. After the first few contests, when he bowed politely and bought the entire village a round, folk began to accept it.Now he’s a tradition: “A Games without Hamish isn’t worth the ale.”Children adore him. They braid ribbons in his mane when he comes to market. He pretends to grumble, but leaves them there until the ribbons fray. When he sits at the ceilidh, knees tucked awkwardly under the table, his mug of ale looks like a thimble in his hand, and his laughter shakes the rafters. The kirk minister once tried to preach against him, citing Scripture about beasts and abominations. But when Hamish carried the minister’s roof beams single-handed after a storm, even he relented. And so the Minotaur endures, not trampling civilization, but weaving himself into it. He is part legend, part neighbour. Farmers call on him to break stubborn stones in their fields. Some whisper he still dreams of blood and Herdstones under the moon. But Hamish only shrugs:"Dreams are dreams. Fields need ploughin’."

Watch Frieren, it's mad good
>>96563291Yes it is. The last arc in the season was a tad slow, but otherwise fantastic.
>>96563321It's one of few anime where I'd call the writing properly good, rather than just good enough to be AotS. Writing has never been anime's strong point.

>Raised from the cavernous depths of a hive world’s undercity, the Ashen Redeemers are a penal legion pressed into the Emperor’s service under the watchful gaze of confessor-priests. Drawn from cut-throats, gangers, and convicted murderers, these scum fight not for glory but for absolution. The regiment venerates the Emperor not as a distant god as the Ecclesiarchy demands, but as a wrathful judge demanding penance through bloodletting,

>>96561187>TT>Who had slain the heretek this time? Hard to say really. Whatever the case, death never seemed to keep her down for long.
