I don't know that Old Ones are too unoriginal when the other contenders are 'Xenos but chaos', 'Xenos but different outfits' and 'more space marines'. I wouldn't want the frogs to be clones of the fantasy faction but their motivations and aesthetic and theming could all be very different to the current factions while also not lore breaking. Maybe literally one single frog escaped and took a few million years to rebuild in the void between galaxies with cloning and generic manipulation. Rats are cool but Tyranids have their niche covered.
