Thoughts on the Daysisters?at least anon got his wish of "I preferred it in the EU when they rode rancors"did anyone else watch the new rebuild the galaxy or is it just me?
Threadly reminder to actually play star wars tabletop games instead of just complaining about the lore here.
>>96581174>play the tabletopi'd like to if my local tabletop scene wasnt a a warhammer 40k slave caste
Yoda was wrong about fear and anger. They are not the path to the dark side. The Jedi are just scared so shitless about the Dark Side that they reject natural emotions. This self-deception and stunned emotional inexperience is ironically great for the Sith as it makes Jedi who indulge even once in anger believe they have already fallen to the dark side and embrace it completely.
>>96581323The problem is that the movies and shows tend to frame falling to the dark side as essentially just a Jedi getting pissed off and immediately resorting to murder like they're all school shooters in waiting.
https://youtu.be/YR2y8LYQK4gLooking back, Naboo was really unlike anything seen both before and after the The prequel trilogy; Clean, Sleek, Civilized. Both Alien and Familiar. Bright and Colorful. Truly a shining example of the more civilized age Ben talked about in ANH.
>>96581502The issue with that statement is that the Gungans also lived there
>>96581552They lived in the core didnt they
>>96581069I legitimately thought it was a shitty AI edit of a Waterworld still made to ragebait people here until I saw it posted on the fucking Guardian website. They really are determined to crash the plane with no survivors aren't they.
>>96581552And they had a beautiful, peaceful society at the bottom of the sea. What's wrong with gugans?
>>96581323Fear and anger is fine as long as controlled properly. I do agree with Jedi emotional repression being the big issue that leads to the collapse of the Old Order though and why Luke succeeds where Yoda and Mace failed
>>96581502This video is fucking righteous.
>>96582085>Luke succeedswhen does Luke succeed at anything?Yoda had thousands of graduated students, Mace Windu was just about to kill the last Sith 1v1 no problem before it cloned itself if he hadn't been betrayed, Anakin did kill it. Luke doesn't achieve anything as a Jedi beyond moving a torpedo where people told him.
>>96581155Them riding rancors was referenced in book of boba fett.I plan to see it, the Lego specials are fun.>>96581702Ganga city was under a lake. Boss Nass makes it sound like going to the planet core was for idiots. I think they also lived in the swamps.>>96581852I think the main thing people misunderstand is that they speak a creole ie a mix of two languages. This was inspired by Caribbean creoles, but it was more meant to be a twist on how Chewbacca speaks bear language. Not everyone in a scifi world is going to speak perfect english. I honestly think most sci-fi cowardly dodges communication barriers. Like when was the last time you saw a frebch speaking Frenchman in space? Course, most people dont know about creoles or pidgins, so they instead interpreted the Gungans as racial stereotypes. Also Jar-Jar isn't funny, but he doesn't represent his whole species. I mean- outside of him literally being their political representative.
On that topic- who else had a representative in the Senate as opposed to a senator? I think the idea is senators were handed out on a per system basis. The trandoshans didnt get one which pissed them off. I think the implication is the Naboo lobbied for more representation for the Gunguns as relations for the two warmed. But were there other Representatives? Or maybe factions granted 'observer' status?
>>96581174That won't happen. Dead setting, dead games (or nogames), and too infested with persistent shitposters.
I wish that Sith didn't use lightsabers, they were predominantly disgusting little sorcerers shooting lightning and using force powers, and lightsabers were exclusive to Jedi or fallen Jedi.
>>96580902>Sith>able to use Force healingToo Mary Sue?
ok but WHY a female clone?like specifically femaleI get that omega is "enhanced" and basically isn't a clone at this point, but WHY make her female? wouldn't making what is basically another boba fett have been easier?same goes for emerie too, but as far as we know she doesn't have any of the traits omega doesit just doesn't seem logical for a kaminoan to do
>>96584365I thought it was odd it was never addressed. My best guess is like the others she was a mutation where a y chromosome flipped (not that crazy, real life people have that happen- they are genetically male, but the y chromosome never activates).
>>96580902Let's say, theoretically, your campaign wants a renegade bo'marr monk antagonist who transposes their brain into a more intimidating mechanical droid body, how this might look in lore?
So when did Palpatine actually fill Amedda, Pestage, and Moore in on his plans?
>>96584365If the stuff of them not fully having a lot of experience with human physiology might have just been a "lets see if we actually can do this" situation. At least for Emerie considering her age, would fit them just trying it for sciences sake.
>>96585794Basilisk war droid
>>96584585>>96585850doesn't help that we got a book called "secrets of the clone troopers" and it not only does it not answer this question, it flat out doesn't have emerie in it which potentially could put some light onto the topicdoesn't look like we're gonna get a definitive answer for some years unless someone corners pablo in a hallway ajd bullies it out of him
>>96581502>That dear JJ Abrams clipIf i ever see that nigga it'll be on sight
>>96584001On others? Bit too much, unless the Sith in question has some good reason to do it (e.g. "I'm not done with you yet")On themselves? No problem. Worked well for Darth Sion
>>96583877Come on, Anon. Legion is fine. The new starters are releasing in a few weeks, AMG has just released a narrative game mode, same with reprints, /your dudes/ kits, etc. >>96584001Palpatine literally used it in Episode 3 on Vader. The sith can use all types of force powers, only the jedi are limited.
speaking of force lightning, it's only killed one person in canon to my knowledge?sure luke was gonna die from it, as the power is mostly designed to be "i'm gonna make this as painful as possible for you and it'll inevitably kill you", but he got saved by vaderseems a bit strange that this power that's assumed to be the apex of being a sith lord is shown to just not really kill anyone (again, only one to my knowledge) compared to a basic power like say, force choke
>>96587033oh no wait, 2 peopleforgot about mace windu, unless you assume it's the fall that killed him
>>96586820Sion wasn't healing himself though, his wounds remained open and never properly healed. He was essentially just so powerful he could ignore being a pile of meat because being a pile of meat made him stronger, so he holds himself together with the Force. But as soon as his willpower begins to give out because of the sheer gap in strength between him and the Exile, he literally collapses into a pile of giblets. Like all Dark Side force uses, Sion's Power From Pain was not something that was healthy and beneficial but something that twisted nature into something completely unnatural. His unique power would be more aptly named Force Zombie or some shit like that because by the end he was just a shambling, rotting pile of offal who knew nothing except battle, trying to fight his way to the top of the mountain. Even if he had beaten the Exile, he would have had nothing left.
>>96580912>>96581734Star Wars really is dead if this is the response people had to, "holy shit we need to get white guys back into Star Wars."
>Be me. DM-ing session in Age of Rebellion for my friends. >Give one of the characters FC-1 Flechette Launcher with 12 anti-vehicular rounds. >Later during the adventure they run into AT-AA. >3 shots from the Launcher. 2 shot hits but not generate any Hull Trauma. >Rest of the session we sped arguing about rules. Next day I check other anti-vehicular weapons and noticed that most of them are borderline useless against anything heavier than AT-ST. Even then you need like 10 shots to destroy the thing. Did I miss something or did anti-vehicular weapons just suck?
>>96587572I've had similar problems. I usually give anti-vehicle weapons a planetary damage profile against vehicles, or have any successes beyond the first to do planetary damage for their bonus damage when targeting vehicles.
>>96587238Well Disney is scrambling here, apparently they don't know what gen z males want.
>>96587572I've seen people recommend changing the vehicle scaling modifier from 10x to 5x. They'd still have trouble with an AT-AA though, that thing is beefy.>>96587238>>96587908Disney's been fumbling the franchise for over a decade now, if they had any idea what they were doing they wouldn't be in this mess to begin with.
>>96587908>>96588652You could earn a PhD looking for the exact point in time where the media flipped into full-on man hate. It’s easy to blame it on Gamergate but it feels like the real shift came later. The rule of thumb is to look at the demographic makeup of 13-35 year olds since young people are the ones who generate culture (and thus marketable products) but since young people don’t really exist anymore due to stagnating birth rates, we might just see Millennials being the last meaningful cultural milestone.
What's the consensus on Cade Skywalker?
>>96582184>Yoda had thousands of graduated studentsMatter of Yoda being an alien. You cannot compare a being who can live for thousands of years with humans. Sure, Yoda is extremely respectable and a paragon of good, but Yoda DOES fail. He fails at treating Anakin like a respectable padawan, he fails at understanding the nature of the Clone Wars, he fails at saving his Order and stopping the Empire. Yoda fails at the end, he even fails when he assumes that Vader can't be redeemed>Mace Windu was just about to kill the last Sith 1v1 no problem before it cloned itself if he hadn't been betrayed"Cloned itself"? That isn't canon. Also Mace beating Palpatine is laughable. Lucas said in the director commentary that maybe the start was questionable, but by the end Palpatine 100% threw the fight to get Mace to show his hypocrisy and Anakin to turn. The RotS novel goes further and states that neither Mace nor Yoda EVER had a chance at taking Sidious down, he played them both like fiddles to get the desired results. Mace again FAILS since he's directly responsible for Anakin's fall by showing his hypocrisy through ignoring the Jedi Code and trying to execute Sheev without permission, even if reasonable.>Anakin did kill itI never said Anakin didn't succeed at anything. He fulfilled his prophecy as has been stated numerous times>Luke doesn't achieve anything as a Jedi beyond moving a torpedo where people told himThis is braindead. You are only talking about what we see in the films. Firstly Luke is directly responsible for bringing Vader back as well as saving his friends' hides multiple times, making him very much responsible for Palpatine's death. Secondly, I was talking AFTER the films, his Order would logically be far more open to emotions which would lead to a far more successful Code than the antiquated, paranoid Jedi rules that led people like Anakin to the dark.

>>96587572Infantry going against Vehicles in the FFG wargame is super scuffed, if you go against anything medium or heavy you need to crit fish or rely on the called shot system like the book recommends.
