Recently got downvoted to oblivion on Reddit for talking about my promo stuff that got stolen when I mentioned that I was gonna sell them to someone else. Apparently you aren't supposed to sell stuff you don't need/use, and have to use them regardless of whether or not you like it. I come from another TCG and this was a common practice, but once I moved TCGs I somehow became a Scalper.Can't just be me who thinks this is dumb right?

It will often be some grubby dumbass child who can't afford things grabbing it if it gets left unattended, some try hard teenager, and so on. I've seen it happen across multiple games at multiple stores, a few examples being: a kid stealing a YuGiOh deck from an adult who wasn't paying attention at one store, a teenager stealing another teenager's binder while the second teenager was in the bathroom at the same store, and a 30 something stealing from a kid's Magic The Gathering binder at another store, with each of them getting caught when the victim went to let the employees know and the security tapes being checked. It's an environment that has a bunch of weird yet overly trusting types all together in one place so it is always vulnerable to theft, which is a reason for some stores to have security cameras in the play areas to help protect the property of their customers.
