My autistic player made a tierlist of how likely he is to get betrayed by NPCs and other PCs.
Is this my sign to ease up on the betrayals? This level of paranoia can't be healthy for either him or the game.

Well, is it supposed to be generic fantasy dungeoncrawling or a Machiavellian GoT-wannabe? It's worryingly paranoid if you're aiming for a Saturday morning cartoon feel, but worryingly trusting if you're playing fantasy Paranoia.
Also that's a fuckload of characters.

there's several that are one-off NPCs, like the woman 3rd into "no reason" was a player's mother
of the ones I can remember as being semi significant
the chick with the pitchfork in 'no reason' was the disguise of a succubus the party tamed (the obligate man-eating monster kind, not the temptation demon kind)
helmet man at the end of 'using from the start' was an evil priest that injected himself with the blood of a dead god for superpowers (it ended up taking over his body and using him as a puppet)
big turban lad 3rd from the end was a caravan boss that hired the party as spies/bodyguards for his daughter

Correct, I have 10 times more. These are just the ones the players spared, bothered interacting at length with, and invited to join their factions.

Though the depth sometimes caps at "this guard was smart enough to not fight the party so they decided to adopt him and ask me for his name and backstory."

The latter. The kid was just a pickpocket in the first city. The party is now level 15 and each PC leads their own massive organisation embroiled in world-altering geopolitics.
...and the player's reasoning is "the kid didn't show up in a while, that's making me suspicious."
