I went to the local Car Boot Sale on Sunday, and for just £1 I walked away with these two boxes. I knew they had miniatures in them but I didn't look too hard before asking for the price
>>96595429And?...
>>96595429Car boot sale? Do you really live in a place where they lock your wheels and sell the stuff out of your car to the highest bidder before they tow you?
The small box was open. It's a load of mostly 20mm and 28mm bits. A lot of heavy machine guns and anti-tank rifles and that kind of thing. All carefully sorted into tic-tac packs.I would have left it, but it was free, and the 20mm stuff is perfect for Gaslands, not to mention adding stowage and baggage to small pieces of terrain and stuff.
Anyway, the big box. This is the shitter stuff, but all will go in the bits box. There's some stuff here that's actually really handy, I've had a Razorback with a single link of missing track for years. Not anymore! The static grass is the same mix that used to come in the Mega Paint Set that I've nearly ran out of too, so that's not exactly exciting but it's odd how I've found something random in amongst the Danny Dyer autobiographies and Peppa Pig toys people are mostly selling at these things.
>>96595497The "boot" of the car is the "trunk"Most people set up a folding table and bring their tat to sell. There's also house clearance types who turn up with a big van, and "wheeler dealer" types who make a living from it.
Anyway the good stuff. A load of Empire Handgunners and Spearmen, and some metals.
Any IDs on this stuff appreciated, I am an Oldhammer type but elves are my blind spot, the top left two look very old particularly
And what made me happy was this Techmarine, one of Jes Goodwin's from 2nd edition with his lovely Power Axe. Worth the £1 just to get him.
>>96595755Metal Missile Launcher and a very knackered Commander Farsight, but happily with most of his metal parts I can use elsewhere.
Some of that is clearly Kenner Star Wars toys accessories. I recognize Han Solo's arm and the snow trooper blaster rifle.
>>96595768Oh nice, I have eyed up some Kenner toys for use as sci-fi scenery
One britpound??Nice
I remember visiting my Granny in the UK and going to a boot sale, many years ago. I got a Bionicle.Meanwhile here the only way to get secondhand stuff outside of ebay is to go store-to-store and pray they have a used section in back somewhere. Or find a local swap group but my area is devoid of those.I got a pair of unbuilt armigers for $30 three years ago and I've been chasing that dragon since. Nothing comparable though.
>>96595429nice score>>96595728This would have made my day if it were me.
OP are you the guy that got four Leman Russes for £2?
Sick haul
>>96595429I remember at a carboot ten years ago I came in as someone was leaving with literal armfuls of RPG books. I recognised what looked like a whole gameline of those undersized red AFMBE books, but he had a both arms waist-chin stack of various books. There was nothing /tg/ worth having in the rest of the sale and I genuinely considered tracking him down and mugging him.
>>96595656oh you mean a flee market or a swap meet
>>96599391Haha yeah, and these AoS Orcs for £2 total
