How would you do a game in the setting of RoboCop?
>>96597259Mini wargaming? Rpg? As a wargame, maybe infinity style rules with factions like splatter punks, detroit police (with robo cops), corpos (with ed 209s), get an SUX 9000 in there somewhere.
>>96597259I'd price tag it... FOR A DOLLAR!
>>96597259>Near future>Corporate corruption>Oligarchich government>The people are helpless against the police state>Plus cyborgsI mean... I guess I'd go with literally any cyberpunk game that almost-certainly already has rules to handle exactly that situation built into its core fabric.
>>96597259Cast the players as gangers attempting to work their way up from street level crime to being an established syndicate. Robocop exists and is like getting a visit from the Terminator if the use of force is authorized. Usually he's easy to hide from if he's not specifically there for your gang and a lot of the time you're just dealing with beat cops or various other corporate robots attempting to keep the peace. Each one is serviceable but deficient in some way: Police are understaffed and have limited manpower and capability, ED 209 is a murder machine but only if it gets turned loose, corporate security specifically only cares if you intrude on their business, only Robocop is the full package of investigator and one man army together.Your goal is to become big enough to intimidate the police and negotiate with the corporations so the police can't respond to your problems and if Robocop does come as a rogue, he's at least isolated from support.
>>96597598If anything a Robocop game would be about the PCs being, well, cops. Exactly contrary to the usual punkslop.
Gotta say that I liked Cyberpunk way more when everyone assumed it would happen in 2060+ after our deaths.
>>96597259It's literally a cyberpunk setting.
>>96597259WoD or Cyberpunk
>>96597259Cyberpunk Red or Rifts (due to the amount of options for cyborgs)
