Why are most wargamers against the idea of playing en plein air?
>>
>>96602089
It's too gusty where I live
>>
>>96602089
Most wargamer (Warhammer players) are anti social losers who only ever leave their gaming PC chairs to shuffle inside the LGS on Warhammer night. They can't stand the natural world outside of artificial lights bulbs and climate controlled bedrooms. The suffer under the suns warm rays
>>
>>96602089
Because people who live in countries with good weathers don't waste their lives painting little toy soldiers inside for hundreds of hours and vice versa.
>>
>>96602089
Because I don't want my $1000~ of plastic toys getting damaged.
>>
>>96602200
Perfect example of this, right here ---> >>96602214
>>
There's like two short times a year it would be plausible to play outside where I live, mid spring before the rain but after the cold and late Septembe early October. The rest of the time its too hot, too windy, too cold or too wet to even consider playing outside.
Eastern Washington sucks.
>>
>>96602214
Anon, have you ever end been outside?
Do you think the sun is going to melt your toys? A tornado will suck your precious army men up into the clouds?
>>
I guess most paintjobs are meant for inside lighting
>>
>>96602259
Lmfao what does this even mean. Do you think the average painter even considers lighting when painting his models?
>>
I've played "backyard" games where my friend would just lay terrain around his back lawn and we'd play with 54mm miniatures. Fun but honestly too windy and it's only doable in perfect weather. Sucks doing it in the winter or summer

>MUH WIND
what do you faggots live on the Shetland islands? I literally live within eyesight ofthe coast and I could probably play out in the yard in most days I'm the spring and fall and in the summer too if I had a sun shade put up
>>
>>96602089
Because if the weather is that nice, I have better things to do outside than play with little army men. I can do that inside when it's raining.
>>
>>96602871
Doesn't take a lot of wind to blow over plastic minis or cardboard terrain.
>>
>>96602893
>I only play wargamers because of bad weather
This is cap
>>
It's only worth it if you have nice weather with low wind, perfect conditions to do things other than wargaming
>>
>>96603257
And what are these "other things" that Im sure you spend every single sunny day doing, fatass?

Playing at a park unironically sounds comfy
>fresh air and sunlight
>free advertising for your club since people at the park will inevitably wonder what you guys are doing
>free backdrop when you take pictures of your games
>no need to bother with faggot store owners
>helps the socially anxious members of your club get some exposure therapy by bringing a familiar game and people to a public environment
pretty much the only downside would be if it rains or if the game requires a ton of terrain to transport, or maybe if you're playing a game like necromunda which better suits being in a dim room, otherwise it sounds cool. Good idea OP

No, but niggers (if you're in the US), gypsies (if you're in Europe) or jews will attempt to steal it.
>>
>literally every single post ITT is a lame ass excuse
I knew this board was full of IRL losers, but god damn
>>
>>96603634
I have no moves. I haven't done tricks since the early 2000s I picked up skating again because I got a job 2 miles from my home and figured it'd be cheaper to skateboard than drive everyday
>>
I don't want to make it easier for the feds to gangstalk me.
>>
>>96602089
Wind, rain, snow, dust, sun bleaching paints out of minis, ink out of record cards and sheets, and damaging resins and plastics, bugs biting and stinging folks trying to game, the loud ceaseless traffic
Outdoors is a shitty place to game, it's better for when the lads are up for a bit of sport
>>
I live in a desert. We play in garages if its relatively nice though
>>
>>96602089

If the weather is nice enough to play wargames outside, then it's nice enough to do any of my outdoor hobbies. Wargaming is my shitty weather hobby.
>>
>>96603652
>Sorry brother, i know we planned this 2 weeks in advance but the weather decided to be a bitch.
i live in a cold and rain country.
i play in the city.
i'd love to have a game in a picturesque British village that never rains but like do i want to drag a gaming table outside, set it up play for like 2 games then drag it back inside
>>
>>96603532
The garden ain't taking care of itself.

It's 98 fucking degrees out there.
