If I were a tremere id just get really good at casting magic missle. All the rings on my fingers magic missle modifiers and buffers. My warlock outfit with tons of symbols on it? Allows me to to buff and modify my magic missle depending on the situation. My gaint very obvious wizard necklace? Allows me to cast magic missle way more cost effectively. I'd also spend 80% of my time practicing magic missle and the other 20% practicing blood shield>why would you practice blood shieldJust incase I run into someone else who is really good at magic missle.

Convo in the last few threads about how science is magic reminded me of the theory that alien abduction stories are just a modern "update" to folklore about fairies stealing people away. With that in mind, how would you adapt aliens into Changeling? For The Lost it should be pretty easy, it's already a game about getting abducted by unknown otherworldly entities and being irreperably changed by the experience, but I don't know enough about The Lost so I can't say much more than that. The Dreaming doesn't fit quite as well but I think it still has potential. Instead of Changelings you could be Body-Snatchers, alien deep cover agents who lay dormant in human bodies until they're activated to complete their mission on earth, in this way the Body-Snatchers sort of mirror the dual nature of Changelings as they've lived full human lives before their "programming" kicks in. Human minds containt some sort of "psychic resource" that's somehow important to the Body-Snatchers like a counterpart to Glamour, benevolent aliens might generate this resource by encouraging humans to "shoot for the stars" and work towards forming an enlightened, unified society with alienkind, while less humane types might resort to invasive probing to harvest the resource directly. Perhaps this forms the Seelie/Unseelie divide among Body-Snatchers, while both sides agree that humanity is on route to its own destruction, one side wants to uplift mankind to save it from itself and the other says "fuck it" and tries to milk humans for what they're worth before they all kill themselves. What about their powers, do they follow the Cantrip formula or should it be something more unique? Do they have anything comparable to Fae noble houses? What do you guys think?

The relationship between changelings and mages seems like the most interesting cross splat relationship. If I’m understanding it right mages can either generate insane amounts of glamour by their “dreaming” (awakened reality bending) or enforce banality to the nth degree by warping it if they have a certain kind of technical paradigm, although other technical paradigms generate glamour in odd ways. It seems like the best thing you could do as a changeling is shake up with one of the more wilder mages and feed on the glamour they create just by walking around
