I've heard about this from time to time as an alternative d20 that goes on a completely different path than Pathfinder that fixes the problems of 3.PF. Was it any good or is the track system just a gimmick?
>>96614540It doesn't fix all of them but it fixes a lot of them. No caster supremacy, most tracks are reasonably balanced against each other. Biggest problems are that the game still comes apart at the seams at high levels, the tedium of statting up every enemy manually, and that the system inherently means some track combinations are overtuned. It was pretty good.
>>96614565Is there any automation for helping statting up enemies?
>>96615310No.
>>96614540I played it back when it was still getting content, it was pretty good, but sadly it's a long dead project now. I last thought about it during covid and it was already dead by like 2018.I unironically like it and would love to see more content for it. Happy to see it mentioned on /tg/.
The track system is great, everything else about the game is just okay. Not having a monster manual probably killed it. I also get the impression that HP scales up a lot faster with level than damage does but I don't have any actual game experience with that because I haven't been able to find anyone who's willing to play it.
>>96621182>Not having a monster manual probably killed it.tbf being a tiny project by a bunch of people on a small forum with zero marketing didn't help. I wasn't involved so i don't know whether it had any problems with Drama or disagreements or such, but there's only so long you can work on a side group project before people run out of steam.
