anyone done a tyranid army with different schemes for the different bugs? or variations of the scheme across the different bugs?i bought tyranids, im not super deep into it yet, probably 2k pts total, and im kinda on the fence about them now. they were fun at first, but its getting very samey even between the gaunts and the bigger bugs, they all kinda have the same face, same chests and legs and mostly similar weapons, just a different size or posture. if i cant give them a little personality in the paint job i might just end up getting out of the army all together and getting into another one with a bit more personality

>>96648569There's no reason you can't have a variety schemes. You can even add to you existing minis by incorporating things like different types of stripes and polka dots and either put them on all units of a certain type or put them on all your guys with similar uses/guns

Because there's so much similarity between "elements" of nids like their heads and weapons and their simple organic shapes are easier to sculpt than more humanoid things it's a lot easier to throw together your own original horrible bioconstructs. Also because most people who don't play nids don't know what anything is unless you tell them you don't really need to worry much about wysiwyg.
