Some only learn the basic rules of the game then get angry and consider you to be trying to pull one over them if you use other rules of the game that they can't be arsed to read up on. I've had DMs do this with mounted combat, missile weapons, magic use, using terrain/smoke/darkness to our advantage, scouting, intel gathering, using hirlings, trap setting, recruiting allies from NPCs etc, in D&D, CoC, and WHFRP, Some DMs just want to make a stream of monsters for your character to fight toe to toe, with no deviation from what they have planned for you. Only thing you can do is either let them know beofre the game starts the 'special' rules or play style you would like to use so they can account for it, teach them the rules of the game by example by using them in games you are running (this rarely works with lazy retards though), or quite playing with them and find better friends or hobbies.
