As title says im DMing a game and have two location were Minigames would be on points. One is basicaly a venetian inspired Las vegas and i already have a mini gambling set ready for that.Another is a cave were the players would have to game some objects they previously won with Rat men, and there is a coloseum to bet on Fights and other such stuff,How could i go about implementing such things?
>>96680571idk how you will do it, but I encourage players to bring yugioh cards to sessions, and times occur when they can play them with me or each other.
>>96680571Why you want to have mini-games instead of sets of skill-checks and role-playing? You basically stop one game to play the other. Don't you think it is bad for immersion?
I've had playable blackjack where players can bet their gold. That casino was a highlight of the campaign
>>96681540You roleplay being in a venetiam inspired Las Vegas with Ghosts and you are betting your soul on it and really need to be Good at blackjak to save your ass.Sounds good.
>>96681736Did you have cards games, did dices infouence it in anyway?
>>96681241this but season 1 style where on appearance alone some bullshit buffs can be derived and flip the tide
>>96683163Sounds like a player who is not good in Blackjack will have a bad time and the scene will be a snorefest of getting new and new hands.
If you want to play cards with your friends why not just play cards with your friends instead of putting cards into an RPG to play with your friends' RPG characters?
how do you guys implement these sort of minigames? thinking of doing a casino miniarc
>>96683488Sure, but that's where you could incorporate the PC's skills into it, like "Sure, roll a hard sneak/sleight of hand check and if you pass you can switch out one of your cards" or something. Just because it's a minigame doesn't mean it's divorced from the rest of the system, you just have to know how to incorporate it in a way that makes sense while not adding too much overhead.
