>>96705114Imo, the issue is that too much posting is completely detached from actual games. >inb4No, I don't police people who make art of videogames or anime or whatever. But the fact it's genning for the sake of it means that it dries up fast unless you have your own OC you constantly generate (I'm sure everyone if familiar with the addiction of doing a single character across different styles and scenes). Eventually it either devolves into porn trying to chase the dopamine or people stop. It's like a game, really. Without new content, it gets stale to replay the same things.>>96705312I mean, the general is slow enough not to need an immediate new one.
>>96705309>TTReally?
I thought this was interesting because I didn't prompt for a wolf, or fox, or any animal.
When I saw the witch, I gagged. Once, she’d been the kind of beauty you’d sell a regiment for; a lady-in-waiting with grace enough to make planetary governors drool into their signet rings. A psyker, yes. A filthy one, but housed in a form that made even the holiest of men forget. They said her laughter could light a room. They said her eyes could unman a general. I suppose they did, just not in the way anyone expected. She’d bought eternity with wealth, with surgery, with every unholy art the underhive medicae could whisper about. Flesh made flawless, youth purchased by the pound. It didn’t save her. It never does. Now she was a thing. A ruin of a woman, a rag of muscle and warp-spawned mutation where once there had been poise. A damned witch. Her mouth muttered prayers to names no tongue should form. I felt the bile rise as I looked upon her hideous orm and realized...the Emperor’s light hadn’t left her, she had simply shut her eyes to it

>>96705325This thing is better with people than it is with weapons, vehicles, landscapes, spacecraft & such. Enforcing muh tradtional games is going to give you lots of characters and not much else.To be fair, the claim that 'everything is /tg/; you don't even need the other boards' was always more aspirational than observational. FWIW I'd say this general is both higher quality and more on-topic than /slop/ threads you'll find elsewhere.

>>96711239... time? Ambition?I ain't got nothing really.
>>96711344Slightly (slightly) more classical than that:>dust life earth smoke>fire ice steam water>light air shadow mindTh designs are actually based on runic stylesheets I made, so translating them off the flat page was a bit tricky. Like, water runes heavily feature wavy lines, so I basically had to extrude them into the 3rd dimension to get those twizler-like braids.
>>96711166why is air represented by vuvuzelas
>>96711582>Smoke are tiny deathstarsInteresting interpretation.>Steam is clockwork/magitech spheres Seems like that one should have been closer to like, plutonium. Otherwise pretty good designs. I'd have done earth as obsidian with cube shapes myself. Also would have changed the color of the light ones to be rainbow colored, but that shape is good.
>>96711675Air runes have these sweeping, wide lines, almost like perspective guides. I figured they'd manifest in crystal form as that kinda finger-trap shape. >>96711854>tiny deathstarsLmao yeah, they're mean to be more like snail shells without any hollow - like tightly packed spiral onions.Earth is a bit of a compromise. They're actually supposed to be the 6th platonic solid, but we're literally incapable of representing that with our current mathematical models. Dodecahedrons are the closest we can get.

>>96705309Tonight the fires of the clan blazed bright, and the drums thundered across the black hills like the heartbeats of savage gods. A white orc had been born. To the dark powers that ruled their brutish creed, such a birth was a sign of favor and a token of dread destiny. These pale-skinned creatures stood apart from their kin: the cunning of man’s breed burned in their skulls, yet the thews and fury of the true orc still coiled in their limbs. Rarer still was the birth of a female. Among the tribes she was a thing both feared and worshiped, beauty wrought in monstrous mold. To her would be given the choicest spoils, the fiercest mates, and the whispered protection of priests and chieftains alike.
>Nomads would cross entire wastelands for a glimpse of the Scarred Seers, those oracles whose flesh bore the wounds of their visions. The journey itself was perilous; sandstorms, raiders, the thirst - but the true danger lay not in the path, but in the prophecy. For the words of a Scarred Seer did not merely foretell fate; they unmade it, reshaping the lives of those fool enough to listen.

>>96715763This is an established character in an established location though. The lifeblood is the dynamic interaction between posters and idea collaboration. Not the rote posting of random images.
>>96715969I have to agree. Because what's the point of /slop/ being just another image dump thread?
>>96716004The purpose of /slop/ is posting /slop/. The ways you want to change these threads are either against the rules (eg. avatarfagging) or deserve their own threads (eg. ORPing). And that's to say nothing of your worse misbehaviors, like trolling, impersonating people, etc. Also, there's nothing dynamic about the way you interact, at least in terms of the ORPing. Both the go-nowhere writing and the gens themselves are incredibly repetitive, to the point where they're outclassed by 1 year+ old gens. These are all stagnating factors for these threads, not freshening.

And I completely agree, I don't want anyone to leave. >3. /tg/ doesn't nearly move fast enough that the threads dying is a concernYeah it's not a problem. I think the only time it approaches being a problem is when people keep bumping a thread at image limit.>>96716646I got to thinking about the reduction of posters over night and I wonder if it has to do with the recent AI MSM idiocy. Not so much that people are tiring of making AI imagery, but that people are tired of looking at AI imagery entirely.
>>96717877Definitely the fad while hasn't stopped entirely, slowed down significantly. And maybe some people lost interest in genning AI art with all the limitations of free tools.Still, it's apparently convenient to some to simply pick a scapegoat and blame them for the current state of /slop/.

>>96725549Why not? Hit us with it
>>96725732It was a silly place. Melié is traveling to a new land, and finds a large whimsical house with four large wooden legs resting on the side of the road. The adventurer reluctantly enters, meets the master of the domain, and accepts the invitation to enter deeper. The master shows the adventurer three symbols: A rope, an arch, and a boat. Melié enters a door and is instantly transported to a burned down town, only the tavern, the church and blacksmith is still standing. She finds a silver dagger, a holy symbol, and some leather armour. She ditches the armour. In the graveyard behind the church she fights a ghoul whose eye shoot out a constant light. The adventurer slays the ghoul, and find a skull whose sockets also shoot out a constant light. There are four open graves there, the tombstones each show a symbol, she descends the grave with the symbol that matches one of hers, the rope. She ends up in place of darkness, standing on a grey stone road, she follows it until she comes to a crossroad. There she meets 3 humanoids, a fishman, a strongman and a cyclops. They are arguing in different languages, and she can't understand any of them. The fishman presents her a mirror on a pillow. They get exited when she takes it up, and starts to make faces. She points it towards the fishman, who happily makes faces towards the mirror for a few minutes, before happily walk down one of the three new roads, the other creatures each go down their road. She follows the road that the fishman went, until she comes across a arched door, and enters it. When she goes through the door, she is standing on top of an arch-like structure high in the sky, a strange creature is flying around her, summoning three portal-like openings just of the edge of the structure in short intervals. One shows a room filled with treasure, the other a finely decorated royal room, and the last a a boat on the high seas.
>>96726819She waits until the boat shows up, and jumps off the structure towards the portal of the boat. When she opens her eyes she is back in the main hall with the master of the domain, which is happy that she brought back her mirror. In return she gets a magical hand-mirror (+2 save on scrying and magical detection 6 hours a day after activated), a silver dagger that deals 1d4 damage, but 1d6 on undead, holy symbol +1 turning undead. And a skull that works like a lantern 2 hour per day (can't turn it off when on). Then she walks out, and the house gets up and walks away. That's the gist of it. I kind of expected more dungeon crawling, but it was fine. The puzzles were pretty much pick that is the closest of the symbol that you were shown in the beginning. I picked them before starting from a list that fitted the character the most (Rope was fear, arch was opportunity, boat was adventure). Had I chose something else I would have gotten other trials, like fighting a mechanical bull.

>>96728029A character from my writing or a game
>>96728029The primary character I mostly post started out as just an NPC in my game but I thought she was cute and used her as a template to play around with various art styles and dress her up in cute costumes. Which created a weird dichotomy with the silly RP on /slop/ creating a silly dopey character, which has been a stark contrast to her in-game persona, which is rather cruel and conniving. I wouldn't call her a self-insert but she wasn't supposed to last this long as a character in the game but the players liked her, too, despite her anger issues (they just call her tsundere) so she's grown and the more I would use her the more I'd incidentally work in traits of previous female characters I've played in games that now she does have a lot of me in her. I've also worked in a few things /slop/ decided of her. Like the insistence on never wearing shoes and her having fire powers. When initially introduced I mentioned her as barefoot because she couldn't find a good pair of spidersilk slippers on the surface. /slop/ got excited for elf feet and I just rolled with it. It was also another /slop/per who came up with her having fire powers based off her name. I resisted for over a year before I worked it in.The campaign is almost over. The players are almost level 20 and are trying to piss off Lolth. Who has challenged them to entertain her in battle against one of her avatars where they either win and all get Lolth's blessing, or lose and all get devoured. Come what may, I'll most likely still use her as a template to play around with in /slop/. Fuck it, I definitely will because I still think she's cute.

She is inspired by Japanese holdout soldiers believing WW2 hadn't ended after Japan's surrender, the famous dog Hachiko, the warrior woman Wang Yi from the Three Kingdoms period (Mei is ethnically Chinese), and other examples of extreme loyalty. Mei claims to be a practitioner of Meido (冥土, one of the Japanese words for the Buddhist underworld), a "self-sacrifice art" (not a martial art because it is not based of self-defense, but on third-party protection), and that Meido was originally founded by Wang Yi, and eventually transmitted to Japan through the legendary female ninja Mochizuki Chiyome. Mei has a bizarre and often violent "mansion-centered morality", but she is still a MAID character so her behavior features a multitude of quirks and assorted oddities.

I wish DallE would stop adding limes and straws to absinthe glasses. It's rather annoying.
>Crystal MUG???>Straw.Man, this AI thing has no idea about the drinking culture.
>>96729893She just wants to get real smashed real quick
>>96728029I post her very rarely. Molly, a supporting character - a halfling from a trio of sun cult-leading celestial warlocks, from which my upcoming D&D campaign my main char is part of. Love interest and the public face of the cult. She is turning out to be more likable than my own character, which I really appreciate. Waifu tier.
>>96729976Anon, she looks like overly-inflated sex doll.
>>96729978Cute. Have a plush.
>>96730261Oooh, much appreciated! What did you use for that?
>>96730292Seedream 4.0>Turn this halfling into a simplified fumo chibi anime girl plush, smooth felt. photographed sitting on a desk, natural lighting
>>96728029Remarkable how the most annoying people are the ones who dumped wall of texts about their avatars
>>96730353I noticed that too
>>96730334Thanks, how do you generate specifics, it always sends me to some arena, unlocked the ladderboard thinking it would be the place, but doesn't seem so. Do you download it to run locally?
>>96730374I don't run it locally, just through dreamina.capcut (although I think I might be somehow using a bugged version because it uses zero tokens despite me paying fuckall - can't help with that I'm afraid)
>>96730412Ah well, gotta dig into it, still, 10/10 plushie, wish I had it irl to sit next to my screens.
>>9672802She's a character I've been playing in a Pathfinder 2.0 campaign. She's been fun to play as in-game and play around with in slop threads. I made her based on the silly pun so I don't take her all that seriously and neither should you.
>>96730427Whoops fugged up me backlink and accidentally deleted a number. Meant of course to quote >>96728029
>>96730415>>96730412Still, Gemini will have to do for now, one of my BG3 chars came out very good.
>>96730443Cute!
>>96722534You can never go wrong with chainmail. It's the perfect armour for adventurers, soldiers and mercenaries.
>>96730059Not inflated enough, actually. Nothing wrong with bigger muscles on towering Amazonian barbarian babes (she's meant to be seven feet tall btw). Also, boobs. Yes, I like them very large.
>Puts bait on a fishhook.>acts surprised when he catches fish.
>>96730654Yup.
>>96730654That's why I haven't even bothered to reply to his dumb bait question. He just wanted an excuse to sperg and whine about majority of thread participants.
>>96730789But you splerg and whine about his comment?
>>96730861He spergs and whines about qualityfag constantly.
>>96730789And yet at least a couple OCfags did what they were baited to do, which is write an attention-starved essay about their donut steels.
>>96730900I have that crazy idea. If you don't like it here, why won't you simply GTFO here? Find yourself a group where you would post only "quality content" of same-looking landscapes and portraits.
>>96730914I like it here, that's why I dislike seeing donut steels negatively impact it.
>>96730914>same-lookingYour gens are far more same-looking than Mazefag's.
>>96730922Yet all the donut steels add positivity to the thread and you do not. Curious.
>>96730914He likes the attention of being an unsufferable faggot.
>>96731164Only within what they see as their little circlejerk. Those outside are the targets of trolling, false flagging, impersonation and just general insults out of nowhere. And that's not even getting into the fact that the attention starvation and repeated characters in repeated styles bring the threads down, not up. >>96731172You don't actually care about insufferable faggotry, otherwise you wouldn't be defending the circle jerking and furry OCs.
>>96730914The same goes for you.
you guys actually gonna post gens or are you gonna argue like retards?
>>96731210These are lies fueled by your victim delusion and pathetic need to detail threads.
>>96731239You're the one lying if you deny those things happened.
>>96728029Salafié the Techpriestess was a character I made for a short-lived game of Rogue Trader a few years ago. But she's been a /slop/ character a lot longer than she was ever a tabletop character, and at this point she's basically just the protagonist of the story I periodically write in my spare time.
>>96731349And we appreciate it. Salafie is a cute and fun character and I always love the gothic style you get with your prompts.
>>96706732Elves hit the wall by thirtythousand
Good morrow sloppers
>>96731493Morning. Sentai/magical girl knight or just a random combination?
>>96731869Both I guess! It's Kirari Moroboshi from Idolmaster. I do imagine a certain magical girl flavour to her paladin abilities. Very nice emblem! Is that Perchance?
>>96731949Yeah perchance, it came out pretty decent. The biggest issue I have with perchance is the lower resolution, but I'm not going to complain too heavily for a free generator.
>>96732015How does it look thrown through a free online upscaler like waifu2x?
>>96728029Any character I post is an NPC in a campaign of mine: past, present or future, since I am the Forever DM of my group.Aure, Edgar and Clayton get the most traction (usually due to TTs), but there have been dozens of others.
>Goatposting >>96730261>>96730334Gemini seems to handle the fumo-ing process rather well
>>96732061Requires some clean up before because perchance gets really lazy on background elements, but it does upscale pretty good usually. Next thread I'll post something TT upscaled
>>96732132does goat hav pusspuss?
>>96731164Idk man, I've never seen them reply or compliment my stuff ever, they almost always circle jerk each other. The only time they did is to post their OC for the sake of it
>>96732238Many people post their gens, and they don't get any praise, yet they don't bitch about it like you do. If you gen for internet points, then try some different site, like DA or something.
>>96732277I think you just should shut the fuck up
>>96732285And that's why people don't talk to you. You're just a salty sack of shit that whines when you don't get your way.Probably underaged, to boot.
>>96732289I'm not that anon you replied to, you seem a lot more underage and unlikable than him
>>96732277I'm not >>96731210, not so mentally ill to claim that everyone else gets trolled or harassment. I'm contesting you saying they bring positivity, when they formed their own kool kids klub instead of participating more in the thread. Why don't they start to motivate people to gen more or comment to start discussions instead of doing stuff like >>96707294, which is just OC posting for the sake of it? No, dropping fifteen pictures of the TT with their avatars isn't being positive or being much of a participant, it's just image dumping
>>96732277I agree with him. There are people who praise other gens here but they're usually not the core OCfags.
>>96732309Not that anon, but contributing to a thread without bitching and whining is a positive influence. You're the only one getting mad about it. You think it's some "clique" because no one goes out of their way to give you (you)'s, when it sounds like a you problem that you don't start engagement people in a positive manner and expect everyone to come to you.You start your engagement here by complaining and generally detracting from the thread.
>>96732309>everyone else gets trolled or harassmentThat wasn't my claim. I guess my phrasing should have been more like they're potential targets for these things, not that every single one has been targeted. I don't believe that.
>>96732322How do you know? Everyone is anonymous here (aside from one utterly contemptible faggot). Just because it doesn't have some OC donut steel picture attached to a post doesn't mean people are giving out compliments to good gens. You're just deluded into thinking if you don't see the OC, it can't be that poster.
>>96731164>>96732331Tbqh I don't mind them and they do make from time to time stuff that I like, but why are you glazing them? They just post images like everyone else and do reply chains with each other. You're obviously an OC poster, which is fine, just don't pat yourself on the back trying to pass as a random anon. Plus you keep mistaking me for the troll, which again, I am not. I only comment positively on images I like or silently post my gens.
>>96732309The only clique I've noticed here, sucking each others' dicks, and shitting on everyone else, are actually those "concerned with thread's quality".
>>96732359Are you mentally ill?
>>96732363You clearly are.
>>96732338Except that they can and do avatarfag when they make such comments. And the non-OCfags also post their gens when making said comments so that's an extra way of telling.
>>96732358You keep making assumptions and are trying to backtrack. It's too late, you've already started the decline of this thread by having to bitch and whine that not enough people were paying attention to you.
>>96732359That's just so incredibly false. No wonder people keep calling you dishonest.
which OCfags are yall even talking about? most of the stuff posted is pretty samey so who are you bitching about?
>>96732376>my assumptions are always totally correct because i say soThe narcissism of this bitch.
>>96732386They can't name any as their current bogeyman since DK hasn't been around lately. Just try to lump them all in as one nebulous "them" to get mad at.
>>96732380Maybe you should stop shitting and cumming, you're just as responsible
>>96732384Nah, he's absolutely right. That you're getting upset shows he's telling the truth.
>>96732396WoWfag, Kobby, Serena, Aure, etc etc etc
>>96732404>no piss lion
>>96732404Name where they've posted negatively about anyone except you because you don't count.I'll wait. Otherwise you're just a fucking liar, like usual.
>>96732376They stopped engaging with the others since you and the rest of your clique started to shit on them without any provocation. I remember posting my stuff, and some good words about other gens posted here, but some trolls preferred to smear shit on me. I hope you understand cause-and-effect chain, because that's how it works.
>>96732402He's wrong. They constantly suck each others' dicks and lash out at people they view as trolls/qualityfags/landscapefags/whatever you want to call them. >>96732402>That you're getting upset shows he's telling the truth.Even if I was upset, this is a stupid, fallacious and dishonest statement to make. People often get angry at liars.
What about those AI pics?
>>96732417He's right. Stop lying.
>>96732416>They stopped engaging with the othersSee, this is my theory. They don't compliment people anymore because they're too afraid of complimenting the wrong person and killing their narrative about how supposedly awful Mazefag or whoever's gens are.
>>96732416That you Catanon? I've seen him go after cat posts for no reason at all.
>>96732418I'm genning chaos dwarfs rn
Has to be one dude replying to himself at this point
>>96732414I remember the time one of them impersonated an anon for 2+ hours, trolling their own side and shitting up most of a thread. Say what you will about lowercase's rudeness, at least he doesn't sink that low.
>>96732439Cool
>>96732433Guess again. You're confusing people again>>96732428Maybe because the only thing they would ever expect from mazefag (I thought he was against 'cutesy nicknames' btw) is tons of shit, because he's no longer commenting on a pic, but a person. Besides, I haven't seen mazefag doing so himself, so I guess he expects others to praise him, while he doesn't have to it to others.
>>96732433He's not me. I do know what you mean when the troll has tried to come at me. I just ignore him. It's better than giving him the attention he craves. All it does is detail the threads. As this bitch fest shows. Not posting an image because making a new thread on mobile is a pain in the ass.
Who's baking? (Don't count on me.)
>>96732471you x2
I will do it
>>96732446Lowercase have at multiple occasions trolled, only to forget to add his tripfag backAnd who the fuck cares about him? He is among the blandest posters here in terms of variation, plus all the (you) begging
>>96732519>>96732519
>>96732510>He is among the blandest posters here in terms of variationThat would absolutely be Andrisposter, Serenaposter, Purple Elf, centaurposter, etc. It's amazing the blinders you have on. How can you complain about lack of variation when you're taking the side of people who post the same characters constantly and have not substantially improved the gen/style quality over the last year?
>>96732412rent free
>>96732532Just don't forget to turn on your trip when your done
>>96732551Hold that L then.
>>96732532Define "improve". They all youse their own preferred styles and tools, and EVERY gen would have some artifacts and other defects on it. Like >>96698562 said. How do you exactly expect people using AI generators to "improve"?
>>96732609I'm not going to entertain you moving the goalposts and spouting excuses. The fact is you shouldn't be complaining about lack of variation while refusing to apply that to the most repetitive posters of all. It's just hypocrisy.
>>96732658I accept your concession that you have no argument just buzzwords to shit on others.
>>96732672My argument is that you're a complete hypocrite. And you seem to be conceding that.
>>96732679>he says while contributing nothing but whining>can't even improve his buzzwords>calls others hypocrites toppest of keks.
>>96732685You don't know what I contribute. I'm anonymous. In fact wasn't that you saying so, hypocrite?
>>96732699I'm not even the one you were arguing with, idiot. I'm just here to laugh at you. Because you are literally too mentally ill not to respond.Prove me wrong.
>>96732699He was on spot. Because either you know shit about using AI to generate images, or you're just using "quality" as an excuse to shit on others.
>>96732709>literally too mentally ill not to respondThat's like three major hypocrisies in only a few minutes. You really have a talent.
>>96732715It's not hypocrisy when you prove me right that you're too stupid to not respond.
>>96732711>either you know shit about using AI to generate imagesWhy this? What have I done to suggest this?
>>96732309>>96732322>>96732404Well, that's bullshit, and just shows how new you are. I compliment, engage with, and assist with prompts all the time, as I have for years. So do most of the regulars.
>>96732721We've seen your posts. They're all generic, bland, static, and boring. And have been for years. You've never improved yet demand others improve. Much hypocrisy.
>>96732730>So do most of the regulars. They really really don't. Or if they are they're noimging to do so, which is not in their attention-starved character.
>>96732736Or maybe they're not the narcissists you invented in your head to get mad at.But you're too fucking arrogant yourself to consider that.
>>96732748No, I've considered it, it's just that if I see them constantly making sure to have an OC attached to unrelated positions, it's Occam's Razor to think the noimgs aren't them.
