Somehow, all three of us understood this relationship in the same way and everything is working out perfectly. I NEED to write more Ai. She’s such a cool character. I wanted to add a bit to this, from Kaoru’s perspective.Kaoru isn’t quite sure whether to call Ai a friend either — she’ll externally call her a friend to others, yeah, but she sees her in a similar way to how Ai sees her. Not quite a leash, but someone she’s forced to trust. And that’s making her go nuts. Someone so unreliable, who could go off at any second — worst possible friend for a person with trust issues. Kaoru tries to hold Ai together, for her own sake and Ai’s, almost at the same level, but in a way she wishes she COULD be friends with Ai, with SOMEONE, without pretensions. I thought that moment where Ai said Yae would figure it out, and that hurt Kaoru, that was perfect because maybe in the back of her mind, Kaoru might’ve innocently trusted Ai to value her judgement at that level, and that stab would STING. I kinda wanna see these two become genuine friends eventually, but I want to flesh out Scarlet Senshi’s activities in Bleeding Zones first. I want to show her off fighting enemies, helping other people and then vanishing before they could figure out who she is. I wanna write some Light/Kira shit with Yae. I'm debating between either: >An investigation piece of the HLA scouting out some of the potential Idolon users at Higan (culminating in Rin establishing a bleeding zone IN the school and the HLA frantically scanning for whose active before Meliaya and the council can pin their asses down) >Slice of life where they all go to a karaoke bar and planning how to take out Shu and the council (Kentaro uses his fake ID to get wasted, Kenji sings Eye of the Tiger and Danger Zone, and Rin and Itsuro are the only ones actually doing any work)>Or a heist/action piece with Kentaro and Rin boosting a Bleeding Zone into a Flooding Zone to draw the Student Council while Itsuro and Kenji break into the council room to snoop around (the latter leaving behind clues for Yae to find and deduce that there are rogue idolon users in the school).I'll probably do some light writing for all of them and see which I mesh with the best when I get free time.Also if you want to keep Death Mark, it could be an excuse for the HLA and the Student Council to team up later on in the MP to fight the Death Mark entity - either directly if they've been revealed, or indirectly with the HLA snitching the Death Mark entities' identity to the student council.Just an option if you can't find any other fitting drawbacks.
