My players thought this puzzle was unfair, but you're smarter than them, right?Red tiles turn into yellow tiles, yellow into green, and green into white when moving on them. The goal is to turn the entire board white, and you start at the smiley face.
>>96735657so, its supposed to be impossible right? but you let me walk on white tiles, so i just go back and forth until its all white.
>>96735657It's too big. It'll take like an hour each try, and your players are guaranteed to fuck it up at least twice.Do something that's like 4x4.
>>96735744>It'll take like an hour each trynah, it'll take like five minutes
>>96735657Well if white tiles don't turn into red tiles, then it doesn't matter and you can just step on every tile until it's white and you're done.Assuming you didn't actually list all the rules and that won't work, then instead the answer is to just use flight to only step on the areas you need to until you're done.Pretty bad puzzle. Not only does it not actually function as a security measure, but it seems like it'd be really inconvenient for any monster living in the dungeon that has to walk back and forth for five minutes whenever they want to go take a piss or whatever.
>>96735657I cast dimension door
>>96735657"Update the board every step" is a far better match for a video game than tabletop; it's too annoying to keep track of it like this.I think you can do it in one loop, going back and forth to get each tile white. It's particularly weird for an RPG since a character wouldn't have this kind of top down abstract view.I think S, E, N, N, then follow the path E doubling back to make the tiles white and so on would work.
