Is there something mentally wrong with your character?
Boy another high quality thread that nu-/tg/ has become known for.

I don't see why it would be mods like the other anon said. In the old days /tg/ could still make lemonade from this particular topic, but it feels weird to see them pop up.
>>96748799To make the board seem "alive"
>>96748283he is an African half-Elf
>>96748970Your character sounds kind of fucked up mentally
>>96749014Your characters sound like they have issues (Except for the dumb retard sociopath)

>>96749511Well, that's what you get with someone misinterpreting an ascetic philosophy of enlightenment, but instead uses it to build a highly structured, self-imprisoning cage to contain trauma, especially when compounded by rationalization, and a high-stress and morality dubious life.
>>96748283You first, OP.
>>96748283Absolutely.
He was a slave for 20+ years, so he has a lot trust issues
>>96748283Yeah, any time he sees a spamming faggot, he has an irresistible urge to do this:*holds you down and rips a long, disgusting, greasy pepperoni fart in your face*
>>96748789Nah, mods don't post those. That's new janny's obligation.
>>96748283My current character is very absent-minded and compulsively tinkers with any tech he finds so he probably has ADHD
>>96749014On several boards, these sorts of threads get spammed every single fucking day. Low effort, retarded bullshit. You'll catch a 3-day ban for posting a slur, but the spam will persist and the threads will not be removed. If it's not the mod team making these, then they either don't care or they support them because fresh threads keep the site looking active.
Of course not, he is a dwarf! Everyone else is mentally wrong.
You could probably make a case that any Barbarian has something like PTSD. The problem is, and I'm going to assume we're talking about elfgames here, is that the modern idea of psychology is not really how the pre-modern mindset was understood, nor is it how it works in fantasy. At least in fantasy that feels right. In ancient tales emotions strike people from outside in the form of gods, cupids arrow strikes you with love, not due to a series of contributing factors in your development and what you associate care and/or eroticism with. Elfgames as a medium in the fantasy genre particularly have a problem with this, because:1) The players have a modern mindset2) Being cast about by fate without much internal say in it or personal history guiding your choices is a shitty game to play.So like, I can definitely say my Orc Barbarian probably had something like PTSD and the Gnome Sorcerer has ADHD, and it'd be true to how they're played, but it still sounds wrong, it's like if either of them started referencing marvel movies.I've been working on some kind of Isekai homebrew system where I want the progression to start at psychological and then work its way towards archetypal as they level up and become more fantastical. I settled on what I call the "words bell curve". At low level your character has a sentence if that. Then you work your way up to mid level where you learn and write your character, until you are expected to have a full character profile including psychology. This to me matches the natural progression that happens in play, fully written out characters at creation are awkward and stimy roleplay in my experience. Then you select parts of that that profile to turn into domains you get magical and mechanical bonuses to, until at highest level there is one word that you are the embodiment of, something akin to a demigod in that narrow field. There's more to it than that but that was the basic idea I had.
>>96749014>Werewolf PC: magic depression, passed down through his noble lineage. Also rage issues, but that is normal for werewolves and his is relatively manageable.I'm playing a Silent Strider obsessed with death, and since he knows he can't become an Ancestor he's trying to become a Wraith instead, even if that means he and his pack will face an awful and terrible death. We could get along.
