Still the best.
>>96750689Blaming Necrons for the Hell like state of the Galaxy right now is absolutely retarded. They weren't a psychic race. Blame should fall upon Old Ones and Eldar who made the Warp a Hellscape and bleed into reality. Necrons tried to stitch it up but Old Ones and Eldar were pulling more and more and more power from the warp which made stitching it up impossible.Only thing wrong Necrons did was start the war in the first place but then they left the galaxy after they've won to let it recover for 60 million years and Eldar ruined it further for fucking 60 million years.Blame the elves. Always blame the fucking elves.
>>96750766They're not getting made
>>96750772An imitation.
So basically the 40k universe is a world where humanity is so dominant that there’s nobody left that can give us a reasonable challenge so we just go around punching down against robots, cultists, and aliens.
>>96750728>TQ0, I have 2 but neither is 2k at this point
>>96750772Kantor my beloved
>>96750772>le latinx representationThey are both boring and cringe generic marines, brought down by their political pandering theme, which is all they have. Nothing redeemable or cool about this chapter
>>96750786No, not at allHumanity is barely surviving as is.
>>96750785That traitor is wearing twin power fists that he stole from a Chaos Space Marine, btw.
>>96750786No you've got it utterly backwards. Humanity is at war with every other xenos species in the galaxy, half of whom have far better tech or greater numbers or both while also being at war with itself as a species. Not just aganist chaos but loyalist in the imperium fighting other loyalists over dogma, dick measuring competitions over which institution gets to control what part of the empire or to keep certain groups excistence a secret. Its in total war and losing at every side
>>96750799Don't worry they will be deported soon enough.
>>96750786>missing the point this badly
>>96750786Humans are sort of a Mary Sue race, yes. The average human might be inferior to the average Eldar or Necron, but humans are capable of matching anyone and exceeding them. The Eldar are a psyker race, but the Emperor was the grandaddy of all psykers. Human scientists like Cawl and Bile can match Necron or Eldar genius tit for tat. I like seeing humans portrayed from other points of view because then you can get a sense of how scary they really are despite the Imperium's decay. In the Twice Dead King they are presented like Orks from The War of the Beast-there are endless numbers of them and they aren't stupid even if their technology is worse, and there is nothing you can really do to get rid of them.
>>96750786Not at all, the imperium of man is just like the tau empire here, just on a larger scale
>>96750768Can’t have anything being as powerful as or more powerful than the Emperor. I was half expecting them to say someone else was on the Golden Throne in the End & the Death

>>96750819the emperor is only unreasonably powerful in fanfictions
>>96750802>Humanity is barely surviving as is.This has always been horseshit. Humanity curbstomps everything they come across, and only nameless planets and sectors that only exist to hype up the next jobber face any sort of hardship and even then those get reclaimed in short order
>>96750802Not at all, the Imperium has basically been winning on all fronts since 8th editions.
>>96750819The Emperor being the most powerful god in the setting but having his psyche fractured by endless torture/worship altering his nature and therefore unable to act except in somewhat random and inhuman ways is pretty cool in my honest opinion >>96750822He's pretty OP honestly. In TEATD he was ascending into the grandaddy of all chaos gods that would have destroyed the universe, and even before that he was like the one guy that chaos was truly afraid of. He's the single most powerful being in 40k
>>96750813>Human scientists like Cawl and Bile can match Necron or Eldar genius tit for tat. This is a lorelet take. Like a complete lorelet take. Cawl couldn't even comprehend the lesser and more meaningless technological things Trazyn did during the Fall of Cadia and was shocked at Trazyn's knowledge and Trazyn is not even a proper scientist like Szeras.
>>96750810Orks are too stupid and divided to be a threat, Necrons are too old and senile to be a threat, Tau are too wimpy and small to be a threat, Eldar are too feminine and cowardly to be a threat, Tyranids have yet to take a single major Imperium world, and the only parts of Chaos that are remotely threatening are the ones that are just future primarch redemption bait.
>>96750821>>Has a million worldsdescending, half cut off>>Just received millions of Space Marines as reinforcementsway less than one million, and dying fast>>Is reviving all of their primarchs1, revived by an eldar, the second woke up and did nothing, no signs of a third>>Utterly stomps every xeno and cultist they come acrossleviathan just pushed into segmentum solar
>>96750786Xenosfags miss the scale of things to dickride their faction, but broadly speaking humanity would be unthreatened by any one of the xenos factions. It's just a lot going on at once plus the ever-present threat of chaos.

He is better at reverse engineering it than most necrons

>>96750856cadia? the cordon around octarius? leviathan just pushing into segmentum solar?when was the last time the imperium did any lasting damage to another faction?
>>96750858No I think that's more or less the message from lore for a long time. It fits with the logic of the setting too, he has been worshipped by quadrillions of people for thousands of years and his baseline was the single most powerful psyker who ever lived. He beat up a ctan shard with a spear in the middle ages. The grimdark element of this is that he's quite insane at this point and purged a lot of his positive emotions in the form of the Star Child so he could fight Horus without them
>96750752>coalpost simping for a coalburnerIt's like pottery, it rhymes
>>96750835Haven’t the Nids destroyed one of the greatest forgeworlds in Gyphonne IV? I’d say that counts as a major imperial world.
>>96750871The Imperium permanently kills necrons, orks, and eldar all the time. Those factions also have plot armor in the sense that they cannot be allowed to fall because they're wargame factions with models. Tyranids are a wild card because it's impossible to know how many they really are. It isn't clear if a destroyed hive fleet is actually a huge loss or not and probably will never be answered for the same reason.
>>96750867Cawl just pulled out a million space marines from his ass and updated the military with shiny new tech that is superior to anything the Tau haveGuilliman single handedly fixed the Imperium’s bureaucracy and has put competent people in charge after taking care of a coup attemptThe Lion is back and we know Corvax is alive too, and if current trends continue we’ll see Vulcan and Leman Russ and Jaghatai Khan return and lead the Imperium into a golden age of prosperityHow is this not the best time for the Imperium?

>>96750853Cawl doesn't doesn't even know 10% of how necron tech works and is amazed constantly. The Cryptek is a highly restrained and limited prisoner. He can maybe figure out basic things but not their actual advanced tech. If he could humanity would advance by leaps and bounds and not put scrap together like Orks (I'm looking at you new White Scar bike made from an outrider). As for Bile, being invited out of curiosity by a coven means nothing and we don't even have any new inventions by Bile in the 40k universe since he returned. Best he did are some abhumans weaker than marines.
Just finished painting the Death Guard combat patrol, what are some good units to get after? I’m aiming to play some 1K gamesThe Blight Hauler looks really good, being only 20 bucks for a 100 points. Any other good units? Nurglings, Poxwalkers, etc?

>it's another "le imperium is the strongest!!" lorefag thread
>>96750893He was more powerful than any eldar psyker too anon. It's true that collectively old eldar psykers could have defeated him, but he was known to Eldar farseers like Eldrad. It also is not true at all that all of his power is spent powering the astronomicon. He could do that when he was a human perpetual psyker. He's spending a lot of power holding back chaos from the breach in the webway project created by Magnus, basically holding off all 4 chaos gods at the same time. There was a lore example of how an Eldar Harlequin being on Terra and flipping the fuck out when she saw what the emperor is >The hall on the far side of the portal was of lifeless stone, part-panelled in wood killed a thousand light years away and brought in slow-drying agony across the stars. This world was as dead as its ruler. The stink of humanity lay thick upon it, the statues near the ceiling coated in dust, the shed skin cells of people five hundred cycles gone. The psychic effect was a hideous weight, thousands of years of human suffering pressing in on Lhaerial’s sensitive mind, and that was the least of it. Crushing the sensation of the dead of the Earth was the titanic presence of the Corpse Emperor.>Such power made Lhaerial’s mind reel, and for a moment her contempt for the creatures of Terra wavered. The mind of the Emperor was a mountain in the surging madness of the Othersea, blinding in its brilliance. The Great Powers circled this place like razorshark waiting out the death throes of a void-whale. That terrible presence held them back, and all His little servants were ignorant of it! Unease gripped her, that she would be noticed by the Dark Gods or their defier, and the fragile flame of her being snuffed out.

>>96751240Not all current eldar would be a reincarnation of a past eldar, not all past eldar would have been reincarnations of eldar that were around in the war in heaven.Eldar also selectively erase and alter their memories at will and have mystical reasons to alter them to be mythologically vague, or just preferring artistry and poetry to absolute accuracy, their historians, the clowns, retell stories with overt and purposeful flairs, it's not a matter of them not knowing how the real events played out, they've got a god that lived trough those events on their side and a magical library that automatically records every piece of information about the universe and its history. They choose to tell legends instead of facts.Besides, when it comes to the shit the old ones do, it's not the first time where it's made so that memories are erased or kept inaccessible for very practical reasons, shit like cognito hazards are things you want to protect yourself from, and sometimes it is required for some informations to not be available in order for some convoluted plan to play out like you have foreseen it to go.
>>96751289More like evidence of how overwhelmingly retarded they are.
It’s fucking hilarious how even on the rare occasions the Imperium loses, it just makes the Xenos who did it look like a joke.Like, they genuinely think they accomplished something by defeating some minor Imperium force, they have no idea the shitstorm they’re in and that the only reason they’re not dead is because the Imperium hasn’t put in the effort to kill them yet.

Would be l'epic! forgive this rant, I am thought streaming here.
>>96751363Nah but they probably have the plans to bring back all primarchs already made.
The emperor is by far the strongest psyker ever shown and it's sort of silly to act like he's not implied to be the most powerful. Again, he was capable of gathering so much power from the warp that he began to undergo apotheosis-and he did it with zero prep. No rituals, no insane artifacts, he just started doing it when he saw how strong Horus was. That isn't normal

>>96752080>and souls are what give you psychic powerSo with the Eldar at least this isn't strictly true in the sense that they're more than capable of suppressing and expanding their psychic potential - which is a foundation of the Craftworlds. Unlike Humans they aren't born with a spiritual-genetic predisposition to a certain level of psychic sensitivity but in fact choose to become fully psychic or, over time, to lose their psychic powers. The exact mechanics of what happens to Eldar souls inbetween lives is unknown but it is known that nobody has reincarnated in around ten thousand years and the big players of the Eldar don't actually seem to be that old.Eldrad definitely isn't on the level of the Emperor was before he became a pseudo-God, but the biggest difference is the Emperor has walked a path of becoming humongously stronger by becoming a psychic focus for his race, whereas Eldar invested that kind of power into their Gods. For Xenos that are absurdly powerful to the point where it breaks the setting see the Cacodominus. How the Black Templars could even get close to it, I have no idea, but with the Grey Knights being primed to fight whatever the fuck the Dark King is with its multiversal scaling I don't think we can even begin to make sense of how this is all supposed to work.

DG retreated because they took too much damage before they could even start landing on the planets. The Tau won a Phyric victory after going all out against just a fraction of one Chaos legion
>>96752280>Point being Eldar don't just become better at wielding their psychic ability, but can actually become more psychic whereas Humans tend to be stuck roughly where they were but learn to use it better. That's not a point, that's a baseless claim.
>>96752320no the fuck it doesnt lmao

>>96752397Well then, again I accept your concession. Don't act tough when you know you can't deliver.
>>96752331It's the point I was making, Eldar don't keep consistent psychic powers across their lifetimes so we don't even know if they have full access to their psychic powers over different incarnations. It's not proof that any Eldar is as strong as the Emperor, if that's what we're still discussing, but there's enough indications that before Slaanesh the Eldar were significantly more psychically potent and had much better access to psychic infrastructure to boost that further. Eldrad is the very best Eldar Psyker made in their worst situation.
>>96752365No, he isn'tWhat's actually said about guilliman is that he considered a few space wolves COULD have brought him down

OK so I've wanted to get into (playing) Warhammer for a long time and I've settled on Eldar as my first army. I've been told they aren't a great starting army because they're trickier to play than other armies, but I'm set. I like space elfs. I bought the Combat Patrol and a bunch of second hand models, I've got about 1,000 points so far. Mostly built but still need a bit of priming and then actually painting. (won't be a problem, I like painting and I went heavy on Aspect Warriors both to continue the theme of the Combat Patrol and so I won't get bored painting 30 Guardians or whatever)I also really like Harlequins. And when I heard that they were getting a Combat Patrol I was like, great, after I have some experience with my Aspect-heavy Eldar army I'll be able to start integrating some clown elfs into my army. But then I saw that it's a FOMO box. And it's giving me FOMO. I preordered one box at my LGS, mostly just to have it for the future. But now I'm thinking that if I get a second box, that'll be it, I'll have 2,000 points of Eldar. And that'll probably be the cheapest way to get there too.How bad of an idea is it for my first 2,000 point 40k army, the thing I use to play my first tabletop war games ever, to be half Craftworld and half Harlequins?
>>96752541Their pulse rifle lacks the armor penetration of a bolter of hotshot lasgun, and other than that they’re just equipped like a normal guardsman but somehow even more cannon fodder.

>>96752647Entirely true, I'm not here to say the Tau could beat the Imperium. But in an Imperial Guard vs Tau scenario, the Guard take horrendously more casualties than the Tau in most cases because Tau soldiery are overall better via superior technology, strategy and training, though their training is more focused on the other two aspects than martial ability - separate a Tau from their unit and guns and they'd lose hard to a Cadian, but put a Cadian squad and Fire Warrior squad across range from each other than the Guardsmen are in a bad situation.

>>96753656>updating rhino/tacts/devsupdating? not just throwing them into legends?
>>96753567I get the Rhino/Preds being remade but why would they remake the Land Raider? That thing still looks dope!
>>96753640>Sisters have rhinosThey'll just get a kit that'll costs more than the Immolator one.>and castigators (predators)Legally distinct with its own kit. CSM will get to use the 3e Mars hulls for several more editions.
>>96753672Zoomies hate any kit older than 8th edition
>>96753656>is going toMost of what has been released in the past decade IS nostalgiawank, they are ALREADY doing itBut I believe the nu tac and nu dev rumors and I'm all for it
>>96753654Doesn't mean anything even if it's true. Only an unironic tourist would insist otherwise.
>>96753685New devs don’t make sense because they’ve spent the past 8 years splitting the dev kit up into multiple units.
>>96753670because R&D costs are high as fuck now that GW has gone corporate. they can't just shit out a new unit because some designer came up with something. these days it has to go through committee and have two dozen meetings and a couple "working lunches" to figure out if a bolter shroud should be red or yellow on the box art. or just skip all that and re-release existing IP
>>96753672>nazi decalsWow, surprised you even get games. You'd be on the floor bleeding if you used that in my LGS. We a zero tolerance policy for rightoids and other nazis.
>>96753710Im going to cover them up, I don't want any trouble.
>>96753656>>96753670technical they already have with the HH rhinos/preds
>>96753654Votan still got their second waveWorld Eaters are very popular inspite of their low model count and still haven't got their 2nd wave yetfingers cross Chaos will actually get attention next edition, but i'm not holding my breath i'd sooner expect them actually making Dark Admech a faction. only letting them have some admech stuff, forgetting to give them all the demon engines, and a new tank that isn't shareable across CSM factions
>>96753668Its free in telegram or rutracker, use it next timehttps://transfiles.ru/25zad
Should I get an Aquila tattoo? I'm worried people might think I'm a nazi.
>>96753695Yes it makes sense: they're backtracking.Phobos were supposed to replace scouts, didn't stop them from changing their mind and giving us scouts back (along terminators and assault marines).
First layer of flock on. Tomorrow this thing will finally be done.
>>96753759>should I get a tattooTattoos are one of those things were if you aren't 100% certain then you know you shouldn't get one.
>>96753752when will TS get their 2nd wave...
>>96753752it's been 9 years since Tsons and they still don't have a second wave
>>96753765This is what the kids call Sovl.
>>96753672One thread without your models. That's all I ask. Just one.
>>96753759Tattoos are horrible for your body and the poisonous ink is find in your Thyroid and other glands. Think twice brother!
>Lust-provoking image
>>96753785filter his tripcode, stop giving him the attention he wants
>>96753779hey maybe they were just waiting to get all the deity legions on the table as their own faction like in AoS! 11th will be the edition of chaos!
>>96753753Thank you brother, I'll keep it bookmarked for next time
is paint recipe anon still around?
>>96753710What do you consider a rightoid? If I celebrate gays and lesbians but am uncomfortable around trans people will people at your LGS become violent?
Why do the primarchs look like dogshit now?
>>96753759No. Don't get a tattoo of something you don't own. Thats why the only tattoo I have is of my wife.
>>96753879Because you think old fat grogs are cool and crave validation from them
>>96753879You tell me anon
>>96753782Hey newfag, you’re trying too hard again.
>>96753879They're bogged down to appeal to shallow people.
>>96753879magnus was designed by someone who didn't care and phoned it inmortarion was done by a fanboy as his own personal pet project angron is an obligated designfulgrim would have looked like shit no matter what
>>96753765Sorry you didnt get many (you)s anon. I think that shit is dope.
>>96753895No u, unironically.
>>96753774if we look at most of the new armies GW has released over the years very few of them actually got a lot after they were made into a faction most of them get some stuff on release but only admech, genestealers, and now votann got a "second wave" while others were pretty much forgotten. the former two had a real slow down in stuff for them i think GW understands new factions will just sell well on release and build excitement for the lore but also doesn't feel they're worth enough to follow on that hypea new faction sells more than actually giving new stuff to an old faction. even if both are seldom popular
>>96753902Fulgrim looks great except for his fulgrussy. In the interview the sculptor said the fulgrussy was a core component from the beginning and I lost a lot of respect for him. Idk why anyone would think it looks cool.
>>96753495Predator is barely support atp. The rhino is an evergreen kit. Don't ask me why, I love the predator but they really want to push primaris vehicles and only the rhino got the vintage staple treatment.
>>96753913It’s the only real body horror that he carries, otherwise there really is nothing special about him.
>>96753913the axewound is the only respectable element of that design
>>96753879>>96753899>they don't know the true origin of nuMortarion
>>96753913>Fulgrim looks great"no"
>>96753879>nowThey've always looked like shit
>>96753879but Angron and Mortarion are the best models in 40k and it's not close.
Can I use my vindicare WH+ model? He's in that big scenic base that makes him very tall.
>>96753913>i dont like that the chaos worshipping turbo freak is into self mutilationHmmm....
>>96753944Don't reply to your own zero effort bait
>>96753860>am uncomfortable around trans people will people at your LGS become violent? No but we would ask you to leave. If you refused you would be forced to leave. It really depends on your attitude.
>>96753937SC3 released in 2005.
>>96753937There's absolutely no resemblance outside of both having hoods and scythes because they're grim reaper references
>>96753956Okay fascist.
>>96753723You should.
>>96753913the sculptor of the 40k version of Fulgrim had to save face and do something different after he was beaten first by the HH version
>>96753956Ok so I wouldn't be on the floor bleeding then. Thanks anon!
>>96753973Genuinely the only things wrong with the HH model is resin + price.I do like the helmet option for 40k, so could always kitbash a bit and use it for a generic slaanesh DP.
>>96754002Agreed his helmet is dope
Bros i need help, can some1 tell me what head is this?
>>96754014looks absolutely retarded, get some taste.

>>96753957>>96753963>non medieval grim reaper in green, white and goldIt cannot be a coincidence
>>96754002The wings make it bigger than your bad dragon by two times over
>>96754035You're extremely braindead
>>96754029Begging for attention, whore?
>>96754032bless You anon
>>96754035I prefer this morty to daemon morty
>>96754038My bad dragon is WAY bigger, pussy bitch.
>>96754048The guy who sculpted HH morty is a legend
>>96754002>resin + price.and pose and wingspan and thin parts making it a terrible gaming piece
>>96754035it is, you're schizophrenic
Morty's is the best because he still looks like a marine, the rest are literally just world of warcraft bosses.
>>96754097Morty is literally what toyndescrvied and also he broke the tone of the setting like the scat fag he is
>>96754097They're demon princes, they shouldn't look like marines, but demons
>>96754097>designs that predate warcraft 3>HURR DEY WARCWAFTkill yourself zoomie
>>96754041>>96754079>Visions of Heresy - 2003>Soul Calibur III - 2005yeah, case closed
>>96754070Those problems are a lot worse because of resin, beside if I'd get a primarch it's not going anywhere, I'm not playing big names.
Aren't they redoing all the HH primarchs in plastic
>>96754097This is exactly what I meant by bogged down to appeal to retard.Faggots hear "demon prince" and all they want is big dude with wings. Self-insert your dick in your ass.
>>96754156good thing your downie opinion is as worthless :)
>>96754149no
>>96754156I love that what constitutes a Daemon Prince covers a pretty wide range of concepts on top of having some pretty good existing sculpts (if you ignore stuff like parts of the Daemon Primarchs). Now if only they would expand on the Greater Daemons.
>>96754149they just released two of them again as daemons in resin so no
>>96754171Don't talk to me, retard.
>>96754184Ohhh did the guy talking to you on a public board hurt your little feefees? :(
>Daemon primarchs>Imaginative, varied, imposing, cool designs>Loyalist primarchs>Hurr just big marines in different colorsPretty gay ngl
I wish I could go back in time to whenever the space marines got repulsor tanks and un-lobotomize whoever made that decision at GW. What a fucking terrible idea.
>>96754035white symbolizes death in japanese culture so obviously a grim reaper designed by japanese would use white as a primary colorits no coincidence that a show about soul reapers is called bleach
>>96754181Give me chaos undivided daemons
>>96754217When they get put beside the chud first born land raiders, they get brutally mogged.
>>96754206Meh, Angron looks like a bloodthirster, Mortarion looks like a big marine with fairy wings. You could probably make the same argument for magnus, though I personally like his design.
>>96754255They get mogged when they get put next to anything because they look retarded.
>>96754223Horus heresy will
>>96754223those are just khorne demons without khorne icons
>>96754223>no titsNo thanks
>>96754288Are those khorne demons too? They got red on 'em
Does shaving / grinding down plastic models fill you with microplastics or are you supposed to wear a mask or something? I don't want my model's to end up in my balls.
>>96754288better?
>>96754303They're not going to harm you more than anything else you're exposing yourself to on a daily basiskeep door and/or window open when using plastic glue though, acetone fumes are bad for you
>>96754303It does. My balls are 69% primaris intercessors by now.
>>96754311every time I nut I 3dprint a full genuine 40k model
>>96754303Yes but it's okay, there's plastic everywhere already. They'll find micro organisms that evolved to digest it and we'll all be fine!
>>96754309How bad, I make a lot of models.
>>96754303You can inject it like a vaccine so your immune system learns to recognize and destroy it
>>96754305>>96754288honestly you probably could get away with painting certain chaos daemons a different color and making them fit in other factions i mean is a bloodletter really that different from a horror?
>>96751576>>96750766
>>96754320Not that bad, but bad enough to do damage over a few decades. Nail art ladies usually have minor lung problems for the same reasons but they're rarely dying from it
Is there even any usable traitor geneseed left? Are all new traitor marines from loyalist geneseed?
>>96754206If leman russ comes back he'll have a half-wolf hand and be riding on a warpwolf (DO NOT STEAL) with a big fuckin axe (pretty sure he has a sword in lore) towering on a base with a bunch of dead thousand sons (fuck those nerds).
