>When the players roleplay their characters in a cringe way
>When the player uses AI to write his actions, thinking he is rocking

Play by post has its issues
>>
>playing pretend
>worrying about cringe
Pick one.

What a high-quality thread.

Playing cringe is fine. Playing cringe while misspeling and confusing words becomes an issue.

OP, please. I play in person and...
>When the players roleplay their characters in a cringe way
Better than if he doesn't roleplay at all or meta game. By a margin.
>When the player uses AI to write his actions, thinking he is rocking
Same. In Cosmir campaign one of my friends made his oath using ai, and it was just fine. Considering he is really bad eith words it is a plus.

Yeah, people like OP are in the upper echelon of contributors, because they would rather bitch about what other people do instead of playing the games they want to play how they want to play them.
Assuming they even want to play games.

Kick and re-recruit. Players are a dime a dozen. You won't get to keep the good ones either if you insist on keeping the load kibble at your literal or proverbial table, they'll get fed up and go do something else.

>using AI to write actions
People really do this?
Why even play a game if you're just gonna have the computer play it for you?

Im literally commenting my experience of yesterday in the session I was GMing yesterday.

>>96762534
Yeah I understand, I posted around on the local discord people play, but didn't get many options. I ended up with a "that guy" player.

Dude is actually sort of my friend, but he can also derail games in a bad way. Now that Im GMing for him, Im trying to keep it under control, but its a bit tiresome. But I also fear messing the pacing of the game by having to correct him all the time.

And the usage of AI to write his actions is really annoying. 25% of what his character says is non sense that has nothing to do with the setting (like mentioning real world countries or dollars), 25% is the character getting stuck in a topic way back and continously bringing it up, and 25% is flavorless redundant descriptions.

Im not even an anti-ai guy, I have used a bunch, but this takes the fun away of playing a character.
