I don't really get the female marines thing. The Sisters of Battle already exist and they're honestly cooler anyway. There's already a girl's club and a boy's club and there's nothing wrong with that.And honestly, a male SoB would be worse than a female marine, since the original reason that only guys became marines was a technological limitation. They needed male physiology to accept the gene-seed. But that can be overcome through technology of improving the gene-seed process. So hypothetically female marines could exist as soon as the technology allows it.But a male Sister should always remain impossible in my opinion since it's an actual in-universe law that says the church cannot have men-at-arms. So there's an actual rule against it, whereas the male only marines was just a limitation that can be overcome. So I'm not 100% against female marines, but I am 100% against male Sisters.That being said, I would personally just leave it all alone. There's no need to change anything.

>>96771799I'm new to it to be honest, the reason why I started is when assembling these guys I noticed some paint rubbing off just by handling their sub assemblies, mostly the red and brass showing the underlying base coat. It's been a learning experience but so far I've noticed the paint no longer rubs off, transfers were much easier to apply over a gloss varnish then lock in with gloss then matte over top hiding the seams, and the finish looks genuinely nice and realistic with matte on cloth, and gloss on the lights, lenses, guns, etc.If you have no issues with paint rubbing off then you're fine without, but if you want to play with different textures or finishes it might add some extra detail to your miniature painting since no two paints really dry to the same finish, and you can even out blends or shading that way.

>>96771909No problem anon. In that case, one extra thing I learned that may be useful, acrylic varnish is extremely easy to just brush on like paint. I picked up a cheap airbrush to do the job because I was worried brushing would apply it too thick or unevenly, but after doing different varnishes for different areas and touchups with a brush it really doesn't behave in any weird way, can be thinned with water, and dries evenly without any pooling or texture. If you can paint, it's difficult to fuck upI just attached the models to shot glasses with tack to keep my hands off, swished them around in water and light dishsoap to get any skin oils or dust off them, rinsed in plain water, dried with a hair dryer and left the varnish to cure for 24 hours. before working on them again.
