>>96776192>Game about combat>Every class fightsWhat's actually the problem here?
>>96776192>>96776668But seriously speaking, I will tell you, the bulk of the customizability you're looking for comes through feats.Assuming you're used to 5e, in 5e, your Champion Fighter is GUARANTEED to have exactly the same features as every other Champion Fighter. You get some choices to differentiate yourself, such as your fighting style or the artisan's tools I think Champion Fighters get to pick, but it's not much compared to Pathfinder.Same goes for races/ancestries. There's a TON of ancestry feats in Pathfinder. In D&D, your tiefling will be exactly identical to every other tiefling, but in Pathfinder your tiefling might be descended from a devil or a rakshasa, and those differences will allow you to pick up different abilities later on. 2 tieflings in the same party very likely won't be the same, and in Pathfinder tiefling is a heritage and not a race like D&D, so you can get elf, dwarf, human etc. traits on a tiefling as well.
dnd: >player: "i fire bolt the bush that the goblins are hiding in" >dm: "the bush bursts into flame and the goblins jump out into the open!"pathfinder:>player: "i fire bolt the bush that the goblins are hiding in" >dm: "the bush has a Flammability Rating of 2, and 4 hp. it rained... (consults Climate Table, rolls 2d6) five days ago so it retains a +0 resistance. I hope you took the Firestarter feat"
>>96776755This is true
>>96776192>customizationYou get to be 5-10% better at some things, or do them 30-50% faster, but only if you trawl through the 200 level 1 feats available on the wiki to do it and get your nuts slapped if you dare take them out of order because something else was going to also give you that feat later. Its mostly a miserable experience where the optimal path is both trivially easy to find, still largely inconsistent, and also massively inconvenient to wrestle out of the feat system and action economy.
>>96776192Ok? So what? Why are you telling us? If you have a problem with pathfinder, take it up with the designers. No one here cares about you or your problems. 4chan isn't a chatroom or a blog.

>>96786008Do you have the 'Decapitate Faggots' feat, anon?
>>96776192PF classes have no identity themselves. All of their identity comes from Feats. Which, really, why isn't PF2E classless at this point? It's got all the mechanics of a classless RPG without being a classless RPG.
