In a Bleeding Zone, her Idolon, Blakeney, manifests as a ring with the seal of the Scarlet Pimpernel on it. This ring is what strengthens Kaoru and gives her her powers. It's an Incarnation Idolon, but it's more like armour than anything else. The costume is a physical item outside of the Idea World that she physically wears. Also, I made a card.

I’ve been told that’s impossible now, so I try to leave it vague these days. Functionally, Blakeney didn’t really go from another person to Kaoru directly, so it’s not that different from a Self Idolon, but I picked the option to show that Blakeney is a separate entity meant to represent the actual character of Percy Blakeney from The Scarlet Pimpernel, the 19th century novel. Much like how Arsène from Persona is meant to be Arsène Lupin, and other examples. Blakeney has a voice of his own and he can very lightly control Kaoru’s body from time to time to do menial things or activate her danger sense, but most of the time he’s a backseat driver and guide. Whether he’s some kind of reincarnation of a real-life equivalent of the character in the JITE lore, or just an entity inspired by the novel (something something, human cognition affecting the Idea World), that’s up to interpretation.Since that part of the lore is a bit more vague now, Kaoru having Absolute Resonance makes a bit more sense. Blakeney is a voice in Kaoru’s head, an advisor, a psychiatrist and a coach. I love writing dialogue between them. Also, even if the original character was British, I write little French blurbs into his speech to show that he’s still mocking the Reign of Terror he fought so hard against in life. Having given to his worse instincts, his idolon wouldn't have his brothers more tactical influences, nor the protective tendencies. No Cogito, higher Beast, more offence focus, tanking abilities focused on trading blows rather than helping allies. Visually, no white and blue side, and overall less human looking.
