I didn't mind when missiles were still expensive, but ever since the WWII pack, they've more-or-less rendered surface ships worthless for their point cost? I haven't seen a single table bring anything except submarines, aircraft carriers, and destroyers in years. Are the devs ever going to make the naval battle component of the game playable again or what?
When Pearl Harbor happened, all America's battleships were changed to principally be anti-air floating fortresses guarding the carriers.
There's whole bunch of new releases - metal storm, lasers, gauss, the whole drone/anti-drone tech tree. It's just that none of it is getting properly playtested.
>>96818323I blame the lack of change in conventional warfare since '45 on that overpowered 'Nuke' upgrade. Since then, all SERIOUS ground, sea and air strategy has focussed just on the delivery of them, with everything else (ships, planes, armies, etc) reserved for minor skirmishes, police actions and threatening non nuke retards still in the game.Yeah, we are still optimising the convential stuff here and there, but it's still all minor tweaks that are eclipsed by the 'game over' button. Powercreep always ruins every game.
>>96820941>North Korea: 50Is this self-reported?
>>96820941Nukes are banned in tourney play. You go to anywhere with actual activity and it's 100% people wanking over the latest drone drop.Sure you csn still play your bomb measuring contest with your neighbour, just don't expect anyone to take you too seriously. Also missiles *are* still expensive af but only scrubs use their own money to play.
>>96818323Sorry, which game are you talking about?
>>96821984The big one.
