>>96819655I would be lying if I said I wasn't tempted to paypig out and start WoC due to those tasty marauders.
painted up grimgor after paying way too much for him on ebay>TQartillery-heavy empire army
I wonder what creature these guys get the tusks that adorn their armor from.
>>96819689musk oxen, rams, baby mammoths etc
>>96819689I wonder how much i am going to rage if i am forced to rebase all my fucking marauders to 30mm
>>96819688Such a great sculpt. Not his biggest fan lore wise mostly due to end times but the mini is great.
>>96819815Frydal being on 30mm makes sense now. At least you can be like Cena and tell yourself “ The Last Time is Now “ with the rebasing.
>>96819836Kek
>>96819815Oof. I didn't notice their bases before. Man, that blows. I understand Warriors being on 30mm because they're bulky but Marauders could've stayed on 25mm in my opinion.
I love Fantasy Asian women but I would NEVER EVER play as them
>>96819815Just don't rebase your models. What, did you rebase your warriors to 30s? What are you, gay?
>>96820169I really don't get it.Outside of tournaments do people really care that much about 5mm difference? Like if my opponents told me "my miniatures are still based on 20mm" I wouldn't give a fuck. But then again I think it's also group dependent. There's 4 of us, all adults, all playing solely with painted models, all playing to the fluff and writing lore for characters and scenarios.Like I legit cannot see an issue with one of my opponent's miniatures being on a slightly larger or smaller base.Any advantage/disadvantage this brings is counteracted 10folds by the fact that a person I enjoy playing with gets to have a good time with the models he like; and consequently makes my time spent playing that much more enjoyable.
>>96820241Oh but if you have too small a base then you have more models in base contact able to swing in combat!Oh no! That extra one model swinging is going to totally change the whole game!Oh but what about template weapons! You have to make sure you're spaced properly to know how many models are hit by the templates!Really it doesn't matter for 99% of people. Most of use just happy to play with square and not round bases.Absolute worst case, he can build a tray that spaces out the smaller bases so they're the proper distance apart without having to break off and remake the bases.
>>96819815They're 25mm
Anyone played a game with Renegade Crowns yet? What were your thoughts? Did you have fun with it?
>>96820479reddit says that it's 30mm though.
>>96820479I think the perspective and depth of the units is misleading. The most accurate comparison you can make is taking the leftmost marauder and the rightmost horseman because they're closest to each other.
>>96820527That picture is also taken from reddit but to me it seems it's going to be 30mm.I wonder if they're going to start updating models for core infantry to more dynamic posing will almost everything change to 30mm over time?
>>96820583Nah. If anything, they'll scale to Cathay's troops who are larger but still on 25s.
>TQPrinted wood elves, but might buy into Grand Cathay, if im paying a fuckload for models might as well be the newest ones.
>>96819689Only the finest gor horns
>>96820479They're clearly 30mm, retardo.
>>96819655>cathay gets a giant nerf>war mammoth will inevitably become an even pricier sky lantern, so all WAAC babbies will switch to the newest meta unpainted army>cash keeps rolling inI love this edition and hate it at the same time
>>96820999better a mammoth than a dragonat least it doesn't fly
Do the Skaven great clans have their own clan rats and stormvermin? Seems like they would, but the books always mention how their ranks are raised from the warlord clans, implying that the great clans take them from lesser warlord clans instead of bothering with their own.
>>96821062>Do the Skaven great clans have their own clan rats and stormvermin?yes, they're the clan's rats for a reason
>>96820999As someone who plays with a bunch of guys whose main goal is to enjoy themselves I see this as a total win. Bring on more releases.
>>96821018This. I can’t see a mammoth ever being meta because of how you can hamper its movement in multiple ways. Maybe in objective based game modes.
>>96820999Not gonna happen. Everything that has been meta has always had Fly or relied on a Fly enchantment spell to work. Basically it always comes down to any mechanic that ignores the core mechanics of the game, i.e rank-and-flank movement, being meta. I don't see the Mammoth pulling this off. If anything the Mammoth will be another Merwyrm. Remember that model?
You think metawhoring is bad today? You have no idea.
>>96820999it is funny how waacfags just cannot escape the mentality despite professing that their interest in TOW is as a casual narrative driven game. For once though it isn't even GWs fault, TOW is an awful game for competitive play.
>>96821132This. The best meta stuff in the game is things that ignore the "core" rank and flank elements of the game. Mobility is key in a game of 4-6 turns where it can take a single turn to rotate a single unit. If you can make highly mobile units deadly as well then you have a competitive list.Skirmishing and magic missile spamming stuff just leave so much thought process out, you can do pretty much whatever you want and react to your opponents actions immediately.
>>96819815>mfw I only have Chaos Warriors, so I have no Marauders to rebase.
I always assumed the Tomb Kings only recently woke up, but these fuckers have been awake for literally hundreds of years. Like what the fuck have they been doing? How has Settra not taken over the world? Are they literally full immortal? Like does he defeat all his rivals and then they just respawn? How have they not gotten their shit together by now?
>>96821370>Like does he defeat all his rivals and then they just respawn?Pretty much
>>96821370Tomb Kings are mostly concerned with their immidiate surroundings.
I sold all my Gloomspite Gitz when i quit AoS but i'm getting the hankering again. aside from stabbas and shootas what would you recommend for a 500pts gobbo army?
>>96819689I better not see any of you fuckers with undrilled horns.
>>96821478Can't go wrong with any of the squig.
>>96821478as many fanatacis as you can take
>so excited to finally be able to order the questing knight paladin yesterday>expected it to sell out within hours like it usually does>it's still in stockWas I really the only chump on Earth who didn't have one?
>>96821616I think Brets have hit their market saturation for the most part. They were never the biggest seller in whfb. Id just be happy they came back.
Does anybody actually use a Jabberwocky or Cockatrice? i'm no waacfag but they just seem like they aren't worth the cost compared to the other monsters. Which is a shame i love the models.
>>96819655>TQNorscan WoC or Beastmen
>>96821643No, cockatrice especially is just bad. Nothing wrong with taking bad units to your army though. I'll probably get a preyton just because I like idea of an ambushing flying monster causing havoc.WAAC beastmen is wild herd spamming level 1 shamans and viletide
>>96821678Yeah im grabbing one because my friend mains Wood Elves and the lore of Preyton being noble stags that shamans like Krawlmaw turned into quasi chaos spawn feels like a good dick move for our narrative armies.
>>96821678>>96821714The preyton also fits better visually into Beastman because they look like a fairy tale monster
>>96821714Also helps Jabberslythes are twice the price and as much as a fucking great unclean one. That and Preyton fits the folk horror aspect of beastmen as corruptors of the natural world.
>>96821726>A resin Jabberslythe is 80 fucking poondsI cannot imagine how much ausfailians have to pay for that shit good lord.
>>96821737its 180 aud, I think it was around 100 AUD when they were selling it for age of sigmar
>>96820999Outside of Cathay balloon parade and Brexile flying circus this edition has been breddy good. Fix Empire State Troop costs, make pegasus knights a bit pricier, limit which characters can take Jet/Ruby Rings, and give the magic system a little more depth and it's pretty much perfect.
>>96821752Good God.How much is a single box of Gors?
>>96821714Didn't they have some lore with Bretonnia as well?
>>96821714whats better between the cockatrice or the preyton? Fancy a flying unit to handle artillery since ambushers sucks so much as a rule.
>fat fuck says he's been told rumors about ind being 100% developed for the old world by a source he trusts
>>96822373ind?
Should i give my gor blob shields or double up on one handed weapons? Rest of my army for now consists of dragon ogres, chaos trolls, chaos hounds and some ungors
>>96822373Andy Law hasn't been privy to anything among the GW studios for 5 years at least and Sotek has never had accurate information even when Valrak has, it's embarassing.
>>96822402The not India of Warhammer Fantasy.think the only time they showed with any relevance was one WFRP adventure
>>96822402https://youtu.be/vPO91Xe4RHA?t=1h41m31sandhttps://youtu.be/vPO91Xe4RHA?t=1h54m43s
>>96819689>Niggers don’t know about tuskgors and razorgorsPlay the TTRPG those fuckers are odious.
>>96822413I'm not familiar with beastmen but between having a 6+ save and double the attacks I'd go with the second desu.
>>96819689they look definitely like horns way more than they look like tusks their cavalry also has a lot of horned skullswhich I honestly find silly because they're displaying random cattle skulls instead of skulls of, say, slain monsters
