It really depends on the tone. There's 14 movies and a TV show, with a huge range of tone. I would probably hack Kids on Bikes for the sequels.

I would use fate but I also would use fate for most things. I find that PCs with obvious, blunt and shallow characteristics (like the characters in LB4T) tend to mesh with the system very well. l also like not being hung up on things like racial stats, magic systems, equipment, and needing to mess with augmenting monster manuals. I would avoid anything d20 like the plague.
