>map is just a slighty fatter Europe
>"I am also working on something like d&d but without elves"
If this is some kind of elaborate joke, then bravo. Have been laughing for a minute straight.

Option 1: find the natural borders within the map (rivers, mountains, inhospitable places), figure out who lived where, who migrated where, and work out the various ebbs and flows of territorial claims until you have a cohesive history of the borders of the lands and can explain all the petty conflicts that have resulted of it.

Option 2: draw random lines on the map and invent the history as needed.

your players don't care, and they won't care, about this map or its borders. as long as you're happy doing this for yourself, you can achieve borders by using a translucent layer of color in inkarnate.

This looks like Europe with raised sea levels but the mountain ranges seem skewed or missing. And the Netherlands seem to not have sunk for some reason. Weird. I don't like it.

When I was 13 I got banned for a similar post to this one since the mods mistakenly thought it was bait.

Hi OP
really cool world map
here's the borders I would suggest as a starting point
>>
>>96834441
I would just boot up CK2 and do the Charlemagne start borders or the immediate aftermath

Is...that a dick?

Copying Europe seems silly but it's not like players would actually care.
Beloved and commercially succesful settings have done this.

You forgot Croatia

My players liked it when I ripped off Early Modern Europe. They liked that they already had a feeling for most stuff, so that the process was more learning the differences than the whole thing, e.g. "France is France, but also as part of his centralizing reforms the Sun King forced most wizards to join the Royal College of Magic," "Britain is still Britain but most of Wales is full of elves," etc.

One way is to add mountain ranges and rivers, then use these to make natural borders.
Or
>>96834441
becasue yeah, that is just Europe. Without Denmark, Turkey and Greece..

Greece is there. Turkey and Denmark aren't.

Honestly if your fantasy is just Europe, Britian or Great Lakes you should give up on world building and just use some published setting like Harn.
