Assault was the first category made, and it was severely powercrept. The OG state of Red Glaze was just pathetic.

Meanwhile, Assault is stuck with mostly good, or at least, passable T2, and an awful selection of T3, except for 2 Skills. 1, which was always relatively good, Telefrag, and Red Glare, which was changed so as not to get overshadowed completely by Blue Stare.

If had bigger issues with the CYOA in its current state besides the Assault situation, I would've shoved down .2 already, but as its stands, there is nothing too egregious for me to lose sleep over.

We have Momo, Alyona, Matsunaga with Weapom Spam (RIP), and one drop build with it.

Compare it with its sibling, Destruction, and see the difference in how many people have it, or dab a little in it.

Wuxing is also something that I added later to destruction, as the original Wuxing ability became the Elemental Normal Skill, so it was a later addition to the roster.

I’ve been reading this, it’s a pretty cool writefag, yeah. I’ll give one small nitpick though: Albeit funny, I don’t think Kaoru would use pocket sand. Like, it makes sense as a ninja kind of thing, but if it’s inside a Bleeding Zone, she would use her Elemental 1 to summon a bunch of leaves as a distraction. Effectively the same thing, but if you’d like to patch that, I’d welcome it. You don’t have to if you don’t want to, though. I’ll give a full review when I’m done.

Hmm, if anything this is the best moment to ask how would Kaoru operate as a detective? She has the same SHSL perk as Yae. So far I wrote her as the one who noticed the path Rin used to leave the building, as well as a bit of blood from Kenny which seemed to stop too short (from when he healed with Lifesteal)

I wanted to talk about that, yeah. Kaoru makes up in lack of innate talent with thoroughness and attention to detail. She notes down everything and thinks everything could be a clue. Yae might beat her to the punch with certain deductions, but where Yae might be more like a Sherlock Holmes (I assume), Kaoru's more like Columbo, where she might be better at interrogation and pinning down events from evidence. What you've got kinda works already, yeah. Kaoru's good at observation and interrogation, that's why she works as a treasurer: she notes down the numbers, the details, finds out as much as she can about someone and puts the pieces together when she can, rather than the "looks at someone once and guesses their entire lifestyle" from Shlock. But also, Kaoru does all this because she's IMMENSELY distrustful and she thinks everything could be important, so she tends to overthink things (like not immediately assuming Momofuku and Momofuu-ki are the same person, because she thinks it could be a red herring), and Yae might figure out some things faster.

Nobody actually knows Danmachi well enough to make busted enough builds.

1. Metamagic should be fully capable of changing your spell’s element as well as its projectile trajectory.
2. Nature’s Forge isn’t limited to swords like Welf’s and this means you can make absolutely retarded shit. If you defect to Ares/Rakia you will live like a prince.
3. The author said Raise(wind) was made with Ais’ Aria in mind.
4. That each Level Up you take nets you 1,000 in each stat for every Level Up you took means you’re the single best leveller in the entire setting, bar Bell.
4. Liaris Freeze (Realis Phrase) is meant to be taken with the Rookie drawback.
5. Combat is a waste unless you take all three ranks.
6. Charm is unnecessary with the Luck DA.
7. Scheming at second rank is more than enough to put you on footing with Loki or Hermes.
8. Custom god is absolutely the most OP choice in the cyoa since the author said it is up to you to decide their personality.
9. Inserting yourself before Bell is saved by Ais is probably going to doom the city in the future, if you prevent his interaction with Ais.
10. Don’t waste points on Valis or some magic item that you can realistically make any other way.

I can go on. Everyone is being retarded.

Great work Kohaku-anon - flows nicely off of the first episode, and does an excellent job showing Kohaku's characterization and interactions with his group. Really liking the ID a lot more than I thought I would - they feel like the most 'normal' group outside of maybe the student council, and interacting with their Idolons like that is good for characterization.
