The city is all rain-slick avenues and streets worn smooth by the tread of billions. Hive spires climb into the bruise-coloured smog, gothic skeletons of iron and stone festooned with gargoyles and leaking industrial pipes. Somewhere above, unseen vox-chapels broadcast sermons that crackle through the haze,The felinid crouches low, her cat-like eyes narrowing conspiratorially. With deliberate insolence, she lifts a leg over a patch of yellowed, irradiated grass sprouting between cracks of ferrocrete. There’s a trickle, a hiss, and then a low growl of satisfaction.“Emperor’s blood!,” Annelid mutters, glancing at the distant silhouettes of marching Arbitrators in their rain-cloaks and intimidating half-masks. The leash trembles in her hand, the adamantine chain biting cold through her gloves.“Stop that!” she hisses. “Before they arrest us both!”Her felinid companion meets her gaze, eyes glinting in the streetlight. Defiant. Mocking. If they want to treat her like an animal, she’ll piss all over their streets like one.By Imperial decree, the kind of local ordinance stamped and signed by a bored Adeptus Arbites clerk a century ago, the bestial abhumans cannot walk the city freely without a leash. A pointless humiliation, likely signed by a bureaucrat who had never even seen a felinid. Annelid tugs once, hard. The leash clanks, a hollow sound swallowed by rain and the endless hum of the hive.Above them, vox-speakers crackle to life, announcing curfew. >https://files.catbox.moe/67993j.png

>>96856324>That's just a background character to give the character scaleThat's such obvious bullshit, you're insulting both your intelligence and mine.
