>>96860160The first step is to recognize that the physical world is imperfect and changing, and that our senses can deceive us. We must then use our reason to ascend to the realm of abstract concepts and ideas, where we can glimpse the eternal and unchanging Forms. For example, consider the concept of Beauty. In the physical world, beauty is fleeting and imperfect, manifesting in different forms and degrees. However, the Form of Beauty itself is eternal, immutable, and perfect. To attain the Form of Beauty, one must contemplate the abstract concept of beauty, stripping away the imperfections and particularities of physical beauty, and instead, focusing on the essential and eternal nature of beauty. This process of contemplation and reflection requires great effort and dedication, as well as a willingness to question one's assumptions and challenge one's own understanding. It is a journey of self-discovery and intellectual purification, where one must free oneself from the limitations and biases of the physical world.

Any suggestions for Deltarune? I'm making a Deltarune jump
>>96860793Thicc goat boi.
>>96860793I have never played Deltarune so this is probably a dumb ass suggestion. I am warning ahead of timeThe ability to find people who look and are similar to friends/important people from past jumps. Not power wise of course unless the settings have powers similar in them but if you were friends with Superman in a previous jump you might find a guy named Clark Kent who acts like Superman though probably without the powers.I don't know if anyone would buy it, it seems an interesting option though.

Hey, is it me, or is the Star Rail Jump not on the Drive? I remember seeing it in uploads, but I don't see it in the Mihoyo Folder.

>So the Dark Age version of Changelings had another weakness the Dark Medieval jump doesn't mention. That being that a Changeling that is baptized loses their fairy magic. To clarify this doesn't require any extra special mystical stuff. Just a regular baptism.>Then some fae figured out how to weaponize baptized Changelings. Which involved giving them a special cross created though a combination of fairy magic and human sacrifice of a priest. Which made it so that if fairy magic is cast near the baptized Changeling with that special cross the Changeling dies and the fairy magic gets fucked up. Followed by the fae deciding that this is a great idea and that they should do more of this. >With the fae using this process so much that it fucked up the Mist so badly that two things occurred as a result. The first is that it created the whole 'fairy stuff is hard to remember' effect. The second is that the fae had to flee to and/or merge with human dreams to survive. Thus obtaining the dependency on wonder and weakness to apathy.GENERIC GET YOUR DUMB ASS OVER HERE RIGHT NOW, AND EXPLAIN WHY THE FUCK BEING A CHANGELING COSTS MORE THAN A MAGE OR DEMON IN DARK AGES

Are any of the mind control university stories even vaguely worth reading? The jump is pretty decent, but I heard that in the OG story all of the smut isskipped via fade-to-black, and every single story with expies or outright characters from different existing settings has always been horrible (waifu catalog, puke).

The requested 'Ambush Trap' for the GSBW update, unless something unexpected occurs I believe the update is almost done. >Demigod of Debauchery (100): Resembling an unusually fair visage atop a body seemingly built to rapidly grind stone to dust is this son of the Greek God of Wine Dionysus, a seemingly endlessly upbeat man with no real sense of seriousness even after dealing with the death of his father to the Italian King; it’s not like he won’t come back eventually. Thanks to the power inherited from the God of partying this young looking man possesses superhuman strength and stamina along with superlative skill in all things found within the domains governed by his father, naturally this means he’s quite good at making wine but also perhaps one of the best throwers of parties currently residing on Earth. While he might be a tad nervous about a certain sword obsessive he could certainly throw together festivities worthy of Kings and Gods only with minimal resources and on short notice should that be needed of him; conjuring feasts and refreshments from sheer divine power should he need to, though such things so callously made would be a far cry from what he’d be able to make with his own hands they’d remain exceptional by mortal standards. When actually working his craft the libations at his celebrations are genuinely magical; providing a wide variety of benefits to any who partake in the food, festivities, and most of all drink he offers. Even he isn’t a warrior at heart, by the divine standards of his bloodline anyway, more blatantly magical applications of his heritage can disorient others quite easily along with a number of other magics to inflict the less pleasant effects of celebrations upon those who threaten or interrupt his.
>>96863059>His lack of martial prowess is also by the standards if the Greek divinities, so his great strength is often a lot more skillfully applied than it might look at first glance when he’s beating down the Divine Beast that smashed the drinks table with whatever he happened to have in hand upon its interruption. Despite his significant and well defined muscles his pretty face, preference for Grecian robes, and general mannerisms can easily result in him being mistaken for a woman especially on the (frequent) occasions when he’s dealing with a bunch of drunks, though often flustered by those kinds of misunderstandings he’s certainly not above taking advantage of them to gather up what he needs for a party or make one already going more interesting.

>>96863628NTA, but the character is male.. Or was, considering the state of that game.
>>96863632>the character is male..Well then that is a stupid comparison. That's apples and oranges. Anime has weird looking guys too. >>96863921If the whole defense consists solely of a snippet of the headline saying that "there were some people that enjoyed this but not enough for the game to last for more than two weeks", then that's a pretty lukewarm defense, especially when the article itself goes on to point out that it was trying to compete with free to play games while costing $40 and the total steam player count peaked at less than 700.
>>96863935Well, at least I'm not the only one coping about the ever-looming spectre of 3e's shitshow of an excuse for Infernals' kickstarter by living in the past.

Karen scanned the beach as she trailed after her sister towards a table at something that might be a restaurant. The fact that she did this in near perfect silence was, strictly speaking, not a needed clarification - she hadn’t said anything for years. Which was both a blessing and a curse. A curse because she literally could not speak, and a blessing because it meant she got to spend time with her sister. And also she could curse inside of her head as much as she wanted to with no risk of it ever slipping out.Because holy shit what the fuck. Karen was a Dawn. The strong sword arm of the Unconquered Sun. Her sword was so big she had to fold it in half to reasonably carry it around. She should not be getting casually outclassed by any kind of mortal. Like, okay, sure, they were a half caste sidereal. That's not as good in a straight fight as a full sidereal, which is only sometimes as good in a straight fight as a full solar. Not discounting caste specialties or psychological warfare, like putting Misho up against Nemen. But no, some random mortal that Nemen blackmailed into joining the competition just absolutely made everyone eat shit and die a little bit inside. Which sort of made sense, Nemen was obviously cheating, but at the same time... Karen can't do that. Marena can't do that. Ten Winds, as amazing as he is, can't do that. Hell, someone who knew all of the charms they'd used and was able to use them all at once miiight be able to do that, but they'd never be able to pay for it. The girls essence hadn't even flickered. That was normal for her, and that was fucking terrifying.Which is part of why Karen had to resist the urge to jump into the air when the mortal in question slipped into a chair at the table she was sharing with her sister. Behind her followed a number of others.
>>96864151Behind her followed a number of others. An abyssal - non participant, not currently a threat, another half caste sidereal - twitchy, potential violence, and a pure mortal - the girls mother. Lurking just behind them was another Alchemical.Meanwhile, Karen and Marena's company was Ten Winds and Thimia. ...Misho may or may not count right now as he had been dragged into judging by Costora. And unlike Nemen, he probably wouldn't blatantly favor his circle the way she would the other sidereals. Either way, the balance of power was in their favor. Three full exalts and a demon against an exalt, two half exalts, a mortal, and maybe another full exalt, depending. If it came down to a fight, at least."So, Messier..." Marena began ever so subtly. "How'd you do that? Because that was pretty fucking cool."Sun damn it Marena there was no way she would ever answer-"I just copied all of the go fast charms everyone else was using and used them for myself."...WHAT THE FUCK.Karen goes rigid. Ten Winds looks at Messier and raises an eye. Marena blinks and sputters. Thimia just nods, as though that makes perfect sense. To either side of her, the other half caste blinks in confusion while the mortal completely misses how impossible that's supposed to be."How much experience did you have saved up?" Marena whispers, a faint note of horrified fascination in her voice. "And how much of it did you spend?""Enough. And too much. I can't do that again, if that's what you're asking." The fucking freaks voice is exhausted, which all of a sudden makes perfect sense."Ah... excuse me?" The mortal woman interjects. "May I ask what exactly that means? I'm not exactly martially inclined, or knowledgeable about the use of essence."Marena goes to respond, and then pauses, unsure. Karen gets it. How do you explain a character sheet to an npc? How do you explain color to someone who is blind?
>>96864155After a moment, Ten Winds takes a sip of something that Karen doesn't know what is or where he got it from. Which is pretty much all his alcohol, really. He sets it back down, fiddles with the tiny umbrella, then speaks up."You may not be knowledgeable, but I'd wager you've heard many a story about it. Monks who train on top of mountains or under waterfalls, looking for enlightenment. Swordsmen who stood beneath trees to cut every falling leaf. Moments of extremity, for the purpose of bettering yourself."The woman nods along, frowning softly. There's a brief pause as one of Costora's servants delivers a number of drinks and some simple food to the table, before vacating the premise rapidly. Ten takes a sip of his new drink before continuing."Normally, throughout this process, skill is acquired. With every swing of the blade, you're ever so slightly more competent than before. For Exalts, however, this isn't always true. Sometimes, we gain nothing from the first nine hundred and ninety nine swings, and it is only the one thousandth that gives us anything. And, sometimes, the thing we gain is totally unrelated to the task at hand. Those thousand sword swings might serve as the catalyst that causes us to grow more skilled at archery, for example.""But", the woman stutters out in confusion. "That doesn't make any sense? How can practicing the sword make you better at archery? Those two things aren't connected at all!"This time, it's Messier who speaks up."I turned off my ability to learn and grow. In the process of turning it back on, I basically spent a year and a half worth of study and self reflection in the span of about twenty seconds, which meant I learned almost everything about what was going on around me. Including the charms they were using."
>>96864158That's... not really right, but Karen supposes it is easier to wrap your head around than talking about banking exp to spend later when you need an extra emergency point of whatever. She herself tried to keep enough on tap to afford an excellency at all times, just in case."That sounds dangerous?""Not really. It's basically perfectly safe" Thimia interjects. "Basically everyone here is doing it, though I'd wager most of them aren't holding it for more than a week or two, so they can spend time accumulating the growth factor - we call it experience - in ways they find easy to work their way through, and then spend five minutes on something they don't like training to suddenly get better at that.""We're off topic though", Messier says blandly."We are", Marena agrees."We are?" Est echoes confusedly."So, I don't particularly care about the key. At best I'd like to hold it for five minutes just to say I did, but after that, eh. My team will spend most of the competition sabotaging everyone else, so you guys just hit it as hard as you can. I have half an idea for how to end it without immediately putting you guys on the run again, but I'm still working on how feasible it is, and I need to run is by Misho anyways.""Not Nemen Yi?" Ten Winds inquires, asking the real questions."I don't give a shit about her opinion. She's getting what she paid for, which is fucking nothing.""In short, you want to team up.""Pretty much."Ten Winds side eyes her, and Karen shrugs. She doesn't trust the girl. The explaination of what she did doesn't cover HOW she did it, because that still should have been impossible. She flickers her own eyes off to the side, towards Marena, and shrugs. Her sister nods faintly, and then three of them look towards Misho's wife, Thimia. She fiddles with her ring faintly, before shrugging."I think Misho will be fine with it." And with that, they're a team.
>>96864161...Probably the second biggest team, actually. A solar, a lunar, a dragonblood, two half caste sidereals, a demon, and a mortal. Debatably an abyssal, though she's not competing, and maaaybe the alchemical who has been spying on them this entire time and nodding along absently while pretending to drink a mixer. They've certainly got the largest spread - the other two major teams are just eleven dragonbloods and six sidereals. Before they can work out any further details, a shiver goes through the air.>"The second round of the tournament is about to begin! This will be a test of Bureaucracy. Each contestant is required to create a list of at least five of the major abilities, excluding Athletics and Bureaucracy, and how one might prove their skill at them to the god of the beach. That's it, that's the test. You have until sundown to hand in your answers."Karen pauses for a moment, before squinting up at the sky where Costora's voice is echoing. Did he just? From across the table, Est bursts out into giggles. Yeah, he absolutely just did. Damn lazy god, why the fuck are you making us design the competition that we'll be competing in."So, I'll point out he didn't say this wasn't a team event." Messier muses blandly. "And did say 'at least', which means we can turn in more than that.""We're all handing in complete sets, then?" Thimia says, smiling faintly. "With eight of us, it should be fairly easy to get there.""Mhmm. Remember not to take things too seriously. This is the god of the beach, not a god of war. Naturally, Craft should be a barbecue.""Oh, that does sounds good. Should we also have a volleyball tournament for war?"That sounds like something he would enjoy."Making the mute the pov character might not have been the best idea, but at least I'm writing again. Also pretend I posted the pdf of my chain on this post. fuck us not having those back yet.

It may not be as visually impressive, but great things await those who study it.
>>96866390>The only character sheet for any of them that I can find I Misho, and it's fucking redacted for some reasonNTA but iirc the author was doing something weird with Misho's past life, such as him having an initiation on necromancy despite never actually using it in his current life, which isn't how past lives are supposed to work.
>>96866573He retained most of his memories and identity from the first age. He could very well just have redone the initiation after exalting and before the story began.
>>96866573No like the entire fucking post is gone. It just says “deleted until game restarts”.The only thing that’s still there is like is mental dodge value and the number itself has still been deleted. On the other hand, extra searching has revealed that the battle stats are more or less identical to a hook daiklave plus a bit of extra defense. >>96866714>At least until she exalts into a solar. What follows is everyone wondering why Messier hasn’t exalted yet, she does exaltation worthy things about once a week.>Semi-related, is there any charm or merit or anything that lets you pull 110% out of artifacts?Nothing in canon, but you could make a custom Lore charm easily enough.
>>96866761Three stooges syndrome. Messier has too many exaltations currently eyeing her, none of them can make any headway on actually bonding with her.And then she gets a fragment of Isidoros’s soul shoved into her.
>>96862497>mind control universityI just checked this out and might be the biggest piece of shit I've ever seen. It baits you in by making you think it's porn but no, it's just the author going on and on about "muh picotech" and whatnot. This just confirms my bias that there is not a single quest worth reading.
>>96866778Clearly what happened is the Isidoros fragment charged through all the exaltations.
>>96866854As Isidoros is wont to do.Now I just need to find an excuse to give Messier a blessing from Swlihn and I can flip flop between being an isidorosxalt and a swlihnxalt, which will confuse the shit out of everyone in infernsls.
>>96866864Isn't that a soccer player or something?
>>96866850The way it jerks off the protagonist morally is really fucking annoying, at first there was a hint of her being a proper villain protagonist but the guy writing it can't stand to make his OC truly bad.So naturally she's still a horrible person but the story is constantly excusing her actions and giving her chances to earn 'good girl points' to make up for it but it never comes off as anything but annoying. Stopped reading a long time ago but I imagine it hasn't gotten any better.
>>96866850>Read a quest because someone says it's garbage>Waaaah, this thing that I knew was garbage is garbage, that's why I think everything of the same genre is garbage
did you know that mind control university was actually a cyoa before it was a questvery inceptiony
>>96866870Yeah the whole "the protag is a paragon of morality... who also keeps sex slaves" was certainly a choice. I mean, a lot of stories do it, and in actual smut I obviously don't mind it, but the author in MCU keeps trying to shoehorn his politics into the story so it's just incredibly strange to see updates of how the protag dismantles the earth's right wing factions and cryptocurrency etc, all while still catching new slaves.
>>96866850Bioweapon quest. It’s very hard to go wrong with raping and gaslighting magical girls.
>>96866864>Now I just need to find an excuse to give Messier a blessing from Swlihn and I can flip flop between being an isidorosxalt and a swlihnxalt, which will confuse the shit out of everyone in infernsls. You were going to fight the Fair Folk. SWLIHN /hates/ the Fair Folk, so she might bless you just so you can be more effective.
>>96866870I liked the one with the submissive gamer protagonist, at least at first
>>96866886If it was just the protagonist thinking herself a good person that would be ok, she's just deluding herself, but its everyone else insisting she is.
>>96862497The other ones have different authors so you might like them better, but the only one i found decent was one where the protag ended up a slave and i stopped reading
>>96866907It's actually not. She keeps being told she's a bad girl by the lawful good goddes and the enslaved paladin's horse keeps giving her the stink eye.
>>96866915It's not 'everyone' else but it is most people she's dealing with, at least most of the relevant people.
>>96866894Ideally the blessing needs to happen during exalted vs. I’m not even sure Swlihn is even alive in vs.>>96866868Do I seem like the kind of guy who knows anything about soccer?
>>96866922Oh yeah, and we can't forget the time she made a retarded wish to create a duplicate of herself that wasn't evil but will never meet up with her so that duplicate would do good things while she keeps keeping slavesYou know, the fire and forget charity approach
>>96866931That was one of the things that pissed me off the most, I stopped reading shortly after that. >I would be such an amazingly good person if only I didn't have this one single flaw, so if there was a me without this one flaw obviously they would be an amazing hero!Fuck right the hell off Daphne.
>>96866926>Ideally the blessing needs to happen during exalted vs. I’m not even sure Swlihn is even alive in vs.Yeah, that would be a problem. The only upside is that looking at the World of Darkness would get SWLIHN ready to empower anyone.
>>96866946It's a very cope-filled moral compass, but it does have a few highlights like how the god of tyranny and the god of freedom both hate her because she wants to keep slaces but demands that they're treated nicely
>>96866336Chuds hate being reminded that woke devs are more competent than they are.
>>96866957The backup plan is to have the existing writing where Swlihn tells jumper her name and spends a while scraping her brain out as close enough to count for getting a new mode for my exigent exaltation.
>>96866963I don't /really/ mind it, but the problem is that japanese stories have done the "I keep slaves but I'm NICE to them, so please suck me dick" thing for decades now. so I really don't know how anyone can read this sort of slop nowadays.
>>96866999It's not a problem in itself, it's a problem because the story is very full of preachy morality
One of the good things about the MCU jump is that you can just pay a small fee to have Daphne be your slave and prevent all the stupid mary sue nonsense along with the author's preaching.
>>96867022Or you can just go to one of the many quests where she doesn't exist
>>96867022>DaphneYeah, I don't know who that is. Because I don't watch slop.
The fundamental problems with MCU are1) Expies - it should be set in an original multiverse. Expies are always cringe.2) It's a porn story without porn3) Author's morality - it's a story about a multiversal school preaching about mind controlling people, so why does every chapter have paragraphs about real world politics?4) Powerwanking - instead of the obvious "wow, hot lesbians mind controlling each other" angle the story is just the author writing hundreds of thousands of words about how strong the setting is. Yeah, the tech, magic etc is cool but I'm not here for that man.

>>96867262You can't really apply human standards of morality or sanity to it. Some say it went crazy but you could just as well see it as fulfilling its purpose too eagerly. Maybe it would be best described as misaligned, in the same sense that a paperclip optimizer AI is misaligned.
>>96867323>…into Worm. Hmm. That might not qualify as less depressing. That just means you need to find another evil to punch in the face.
>>96867354Scion?
>>96867359Scion's not really a cosmic evil, nor is he responsible for the shit nature of that world. If anything he's merely a symptom of it.
>>96867341You know that raises a really weird question. Is the wyrm redeemable? Like, the issue with it is that it’s out of balance with the other two, right? Can it be re-balanced?>>96867354I don’t think I can, actually. I need a cosmic evil, not just a regular one. Also we don’t have any other exalted crossover jumps that I know of, so I’m never going back to normal earth and will be staying in creation.
>>96867382>Is the wyrm redeemable? Like, the issue with it is that it’s out of balance with the other two, right? Can it be re-balanced?With bullshit jumper powers I wouldn't absolutely push it out of the realm of possibility but it'd be easier to just wipe the slate clean and make a successor system to the Triat (and that's no easy feat either)
>>96867408This is the second jump. The first was mortal heroes. So basically jumper is fucked.technically there are two jumpers because semi-potatoes, and for the second one this is jump six. Still probably not possibly, given how unreliable that jumper is.
You know, the new thing is magnets. Somebody decided to use magnets.
>>96867382>Is the wyrm redeemable?Kinda, One of the big problems is you would have to stitch it back together because after the Weaver trapped it it broke apart into three separate aspects. So you would have to put it back together and then make it immune to getting trapped again as well as convincing it not to take revenge and make the cycle of creation imbalanced in the other direction.

Halloween jump’s locked in, just have to do some proofreading when I get home and figure out if the current font is worth keeping then I’ll be comfortably ready for Halloween.>>96869113Every time I see the letters “MCU” pop up in thread, I start preparing to answer someone’s questions about Eyes of Wakanda or how perks work or you know, normal jumpmaker things, as I wrack my brains trying to remember things about a franchise I made a commitment with myself to jumpmaker thus far, but no further for, but still feel vaguely obliged to elucidate about. And then reading the post carefully, I end up confused when someone brings up keywords like “porn” or that the “jobber goddess” isn’t actually named as Wanda (and also hang on, it’s strange someone’s calling a FEMALE character a jobber in the actual MCU), and it slowly dawns on me that no the thread does not actually want to fuck Shuri/Okoye/Riri today.

>>96869285>ririwas the rest of Ironheart as terrible as the first two episodes? the impression i'd got is that she'd be an easy lay, all you'd need is to flatter her ego and a couple twenties in your pocket
>>96869224> Didn't get her pregnant thoYou are weak and so is your sauce.
>>96869352Both things are true. The rest of Ironheart is as terrible as the first two episodes mainly due to the plot simultaneously want to portray Riri as a well-intentioned person haunted by grief but ALSO to enable the funni eat the rich heist plot AT ANY COST, resulting in Riri trying to befriend the people she’s blackmailing, fight with her AI friend and attempt to see the best in career criminals who ultimately try to kill her before being unceremoniously dismissed by their own boss for gross incompetence. A plot point from Black Panther 2, the idea that the key to making seemingly impossible super science breakthroughs is literally to incorporate objects symbolising some kind of past relationship into the construction of the thing you’re building, returns. At least this time they have the decency to have it be to enable ACTUAL MAGIC instead of the weird fencesitting they do about whether the heart-shaped herb and under Wakandan resources are truly science or magic. At the same time yes, Riri ends up isolating so many people due to her bad decisions that I think she’d be comically easy to hook up with by giving even token support to her unhinged decisions. Or you know, flashing a lot of money. Because the entire plot is Riri’s finances existing in a state of quantum uncertainty where she can afford to go to uni on a scholarship from her being smart enough to build an Iron Man suit AND explicitly other gadgets such as the vibranium detector that was the reason why the US government had her on a watchlist in BP2, but also somehow simultaneously feels the need to help people cheat on exams because she needs the money, AND her financial situation isn’t urgent enough she isn’t making a fortune with online super tech commissions or some shit because by her own admission she wants to make something “iconic” although the series also tries to communicate she genuinely wants to make something that genuinely helps people. Badly...
>>96869457...Basically there is a massive plot hole about why Riri can’t just build something desirable enough to solve her money problems forever and it all comes back to the series DESPERATELY wanting to be a story about overcoming grief and personal loss while being hampered by technically being about a comic book engineering genius.
>>96868963Nah, it is fine for 200. Without particularly great talent, a DB mook is not very impressive.
>>96869499I mean even the least exalted is still a exalt. Especially in a world without other exalts
>>96869457>>96869467I know nothing about Riri. That however will not stop me from bitching about Riri. I will however take a different angle for it.Riri could have been awesome. If she were an inner city kid, inspired by tony stark trying to build a power armor with a budget of $0.Have her start out with a suit that barely works not because of her incompetence but because it's she is making it from nothing. Basically thrown away electronics and salvaged scrap.Have her beat up some normal crooks but then struggle against anyone with real super powers, forcing her to outwit her enemies. Eventually she gets noticed by Stark's family they take the girl under their wings and she actually gets to build a super suit and kick the ass of some of the people that were giving her trouble earlier.I think this would be a better story honestly. Maybe I am a shit writer, maybe someone with actual talent could do better but I am just saying there was potential here.
>>96869637Unless your setting is Game of Thrones level even children in most Isekai would body DB's.
>>96868744How about the power to gain super powers from drinking breast milk of women. With exceptional woman granting additional powers based on how they are exceptional. For instance drinking the breast milk of a powerful mage would grant a boost to all magic power and abilities.
>>96869720Even there a fresh DB would just be a human who heals fast who can pull out a weak fire aura once or twice a day for 15~ minutes. Fresh DBs are weak. Theres a reason they usually exalt in their early teens. They need the years of training to actually be worth much.
>>96869772>>96869720I mean a DB especially as a jumper probably isn't going to stay untrained forever either. Especially if you avoid doing something stupid in the early days. Sure its not a world conquering power on its own but its a solid powerset with development. Even if you might have to figure it out yourself.
>>96869222ah dang, no 3pp stuff allowed. still interesting. so for the race or be a monster options, are templates allowed? can they be applied to normal races? if templates can be bought separately that does mean that you overpay for the half-dragon template in the perk.for the troopers, can taking the undead option allow them to do swap back to human like alt-forms? also is the intent for them that you can buy each type of troop once? (as in one rifle, one mg, one chem, etc?)another for the undead troopers, what's a corpse orgy? i can't find that under the aonprd bestiary.the div's tent sucks tremendously if the pairaka div's whole disease issue doesn't go away.is divine favor required to use divine magic in other jumps? is it just for spreading it? do you get stuff out of it if you're not a divine caster class?
>>96869707Legitimately, yes. The elements are actually there. There is what I can only describe as the skeleton of a genuinely fine superhero origin story inherent in the show, that is completely ignored to tell a very specific story in a way so specific it feels like the marketing team and/or suits directly told the writers to include specific things (i.e. there MUST be a quippy exciting heist, Riri MUST get into a fight with her absolute saint of a mom who deserves a better daughter and who is literally willing to get in touch with ex-Masters of the Mystic Arts trainees to support her child’s ambitions. Seriously the mom is the real superhero) that had nothing to do with the original story.
>>96869707not those anons but while your suggestions make more sense than what they went with, and also sound like just a better plot in general, the story beats of "poor black inner city girl has to be sponsored by a rich white person in order to accomplish anything" isn't ever going to fly in the current age of media. Even if that's a retarded way of phrasing it, and it certainly is, that's how it would be seen because the story first and foremost is one about race because it's written by racists who are trying to compete in the oppression Olympics. They don't see "struggling inventor impresses wealthy patron who helps and supports them in realizing their dream". Because they are racists, who must make everything about race, it has to be about how the black person not only doesn't need some privileged white persons help but actually the black person is superior to whitey and here's this whole ass story and plot to "prove" it. As a result it was destined to be dogshit from the word go because the people writing it were never interested in writing a good story and instead only interested in pushing a narrative.
>>96870339It would’ve been absurdly easy to navigate around that “problem” too: Just have Riri ring up her Wakandan friends (at least one runs a public orphanage or something in BP2) and politely ask for some help-maybe frame it as an investment opportunity. But like you said, they really wanted to tell a story about a poor black inner city girl DOING CRIMES because SOCIETY PROVIDED NO OTHER OPTION and just fucking ignored all logic and reason about how a super genius could’ve ignored that even without whitey’s handouts because they REALLY wanted to tell that story and didn’t give a shit about how well the setting supported it.
>>96870356It didn't help that they had Riri herself badmouthing Tony Stark and basically calling him a fraud who only got where he was because of his "privilege" within the first minute of episode one.
>>96870376As one YouTube commenter said:>Riri with all the support she needs and a template to work off of: "I need more money! The world is so unfair?">Tony: "ok, I need to attack the Mandarin in his own base. I got 20$, a hello kitty watch, and a random kid's garage to work in. It's all coming together."
>>96870339You are right. You are absolutely right and that saddens me. I feel like the entire MCU was bait and switch. At first the gave fans what they wanted and then slowly they started giving fans what the think they should want until now that's all that's left. I just miss the age when they made stories to be fun and interesting instead of pushing an agenda.
>>96868744The ability to steal the physical powers of characters in written texts, but they stack onto each other and each one is way harder than the previous one.
>>96869772While I still don't think a genuine exalt of any variety would be 200 points (since >>96869897 is right, an exalt isn't going to stay untrained forever), the mention of the dragonblood aura actually gives me a good idea for a "magic aura release" cheat, which would let Jumper emit an aura a few times per day to saturate the area with their rare magic affinity (blood magic, because I'm going all-in on chuuni vampire isekai), letting them use their magic more easily, causing wounds to bleed more, and just making the area seem fully saturated with a bloody haze. Seems cool. Thanks for the DB suggestion anon, even though I just ended up ripping a single part out of it and using that.
>>96870407I legit don't know which MCU you're talking about here.>sad it applies to both
>>96868744Because you're so magical, you can use parts of yourself as materials for making magical items. The more powerful you are, the better your bits are and the more powerful items you can make. Some body parts are better than others for different types of items, but all of you is a top-quality reagent. But you have to bleed or chop off pieces of yourself and it would be dangerous if this becomes known, so it balances out.

The perk helps you maintain constant link and communication, and as you spread their influence they can increase their ability to interfere and influence the world from empowering further worshipers to eventually being able to send messages and divine servants when they get influential enough. And just as how a God can give visions or show favor for someone who isn't a cleric, so too will they still be able to continue to support you in future jumps even if you aren't a divine caster.
Well with spooky month almost over I guess I can go back to making fanservice comedy slop anime jumps. Or other visual novel jumps full of perks no one wants.Jumpers are pretty much all combat perks all the time, right? How do you even make something more laid back worth Jumper's time?
>>96872090>Jumpers are pretty much all combat perks all the time, right?Don't forget the Harem Perks.Still, visual novels can be cool. You never know what niche abilities you might find in there.
>>96872090>Jumpers are pretty much all combat perks all the time, right? For me it's breeding perks
>>96872156We don't even have a Clannad jump. What a mess. I should fix that before touching harem slop. Plus there's some magical bullshit in there I can probably use as a carrot on a stick for naive jumpers who just want more power.>>96872173Respectable.
Why'd they delete my comment i just asked for instructions ):
>>96872185 Forgive me for saying but it seems like you think every Jumper is Virgil from Devil May Cry. Just out for more and more power. There are a reason vacation jumps exist. Also there are works that the people choosing the jumps remember and liked and want to see their jumper in. I think Slice of life jumps are nice because for some of us who got the shit end of most sticks in life it gives us the chance to imagine having a normal life in better circumstances. "What if I wasn't a basement dwelling shut in troll but actually had some social skills and friend?"
>>96872282>seems like you think every Jumper is Virgil from Devil May CryI'm just kidding around, mostly. I get the appeal of slice of life, vacation, romance jumps. I play and make those ones myself.Having said that, it is true that most jumpers do end up gathering power over time. That's just how the game works. I'm just saying it'd make for a nice bonus incentive if the high school drama jump also had a decent power system you could pick up while you're there.

>>96873733Damn man you don't have to feel bad about it. I've been there. It is pretty neat.
>>96873733>Maybe, depends on if I can remember what I was going for.Looks kind of like you were taking a stab at the branching class promotions from that game as a more general design thing? Personally would suggest that dark magic be lumped in with the drop-in/old lore (read: Formortis and the sealing) stuff so you can have that be distinct from the unintentionally solid throughline Lute and L'arachel give for supremely confident normal spellcaster/healer. Or maybe just have dark magic in with thief as generic evil stuff since they didn't get mapped to a split either? Would make the deception perk good to pull double duty since you'd have normal roguish hoodwinking along with Lyon's whole bit of not actually being possessed (initially). For items, I'd suggest cheating and using some of the unique skills/weapons the Sacred Stones characters got in Heroes if you don't just want to repeat a chunk of the standard/GBA-specific item roster, and some unique stuff that might make sense like a merc band/outfit that serves as the extra muscle that would've been backing up Gerick/Marissa or some things that might be useful later like a way to summon the local Terrors (basically an FE - Awakening Reeking Box, but it spawns/summons monsters from Magvel instead of Risen) or a copy of the Lagdou Ruins for training/looting. Maybe a title as a landed noble since you work with at least one noble from each of the not-evil nations in that game (Tana, Joshua, and L'Arachel, to name a few).Could have it be that the origins change class role based on nation/faction picked, since the Peg Knights and Wyvern Riders are as always in two opposing nations (Frelia and Grado).
>>96872315True but there are always cool minor abilities that are nice. Hell if a jump had that you never had to use the bathroom again that would be enough for me to consider it. Or for a more general example a dating sim could actually show your affection scores with the people around you and let you get ridiculous bonus points for giving minor items as gifts. Maybe even the ability to date other people and have that not hurt your affection score with the other people you are dating. Quality of life powers can actually be very helpful and desirable.
>>96873498I would suggest this. Ecchi perks and drawbacks kick in at a certain age. You can get them, they are just dormant until you are old enough people might want to do Ecchi stuff with you. At least for the perks. Maybe the drawbacks get modified a bit if you are under a certain age. Instead of having a Yandere girl that wants to be your waifu, you have a Yandere girl who is a friend who is bossy and wants to run your life and keep you all to herself.
>>96873862I think I was going for a kind of 'build your own class' thing, where you could replicate some of the classes we don't see very often like the Great Knight (getting the mounted perk and the armored perk from the Lance perkline), or the Mage Knight by getting tome use from Mage and the Mounted from Lance. At least that's my best understanding. Also you have some really good ideas, I may borrow them.
Here's my jumpchainShould I add rules?https://pastebin.com/2mnMKqZc
>>96874169We call what you made there a "build". The cumulation of multiple builds is your "chain". A "jump" is every different document/cyoa posted for people to make builds from. >>96875443That would require the writers to not be racists primarily concerned with race politics. Keep in mind the protagonist they wanted people to cheer for an identify with was literally portrayed as being a dishonest criminal actively helping other students to cheat at a college she got a scholarship to just for some cash on the side and THEN when she got caught decided that she'd just go ahead and steal college property in the form of the iron man suit that a team of people, which included but was not limited to her and which she categorically did not own, and then after she stole it and caused immense property damage she showed no remorse whatsoever. It's almost to the level of outright parody and yet we know that the writers actually wanted viewers to like Riri and didn't see the problem with how they wrote the character. If the character had actually used that alleged super intelligence, or god forbid just talked to her damn support network like her fucking mom on what she could do to make money, then the entire story would fall apart. I'm reminded of that one Sherlock green-text picture that talks about how a genius character written by a genius comes across as a genius, but a genius character written by a dumb person comes across as a wizard.
>>96875738Thanks for the jumps, it's been ages since I've watched TAoI & Mr. Toad, I'll have to track down a copy to watch at some point.
>>96875301Custom companions are fine. I prefer OCs over expies if only because it's easier to make sure they fit with a given jump. Sometimes expies forget to properly file off all the numbers and look a bit too much like you just isekai'd the character into a painfully light acid bath.
>>96875748You're welcome friend, hope you enjoy!
>>96875452So you are for preschooler sex then? If not being for that, makes you a fag, I think I'll have to be proud to be a fag then.

The Backwater Gospel is done.https://docs.google.com/document/d/14WHT0klNoYf-71SF7A1W8OYa9QcAi2Bzz4JVV3ertQ4/edit?usp=sharing
>>96875943NTA, but policing a jump rather than leaving things ambiguous and letting people police themselves is a bit faggy
>>96875968I think she's just kind of incompatible with the place in general. Other anons have said this but MGE is a hopeful setting. A lot of the stuff in it only works because it's a world where ultimately it all works for the better because everyone deep down wants to find love and happiness and stuff like that. This doesn't apply to Carmen at this point. She doesn't think in terms of "being happy" anymore. It's not even something she cares about. She thinks people ought to follow their id, their intrusive thoughts, these desires that stem from toxic places. she believes that you should be guided by these intrusive thoughts that creep up in your head, those petty, monstrous and pointless things you turn yourself away from doing. So she just... isn't in a mental space for the setting, because she doesn't think of happiness as a good thing anymore. She doesn't believe in it, she doesn't care for it, she believes in people doing whatever they want even if this hurts them or other people, she thinks this is the highest moral imperative. One "actualized" person who's doing what they want is worth any number of "happy" people who aren't doing that, even if the desire is pic related.
>>96875971I know I wished you for the process to go smoothly, but that was fast, grats 9.
>>96876006So is having sex with children and/or being molested as a child.
>>96876030Helps that the source material is a 10ish minute video.
>>96875968Given how MGE's author has patched so many loopholes out of a desire to keep his wholesome monstergirl corruption setting safe, she'd probably get fucked almost immediately by mamano mana.If the Light counters Mamano mana though (given what the Light can do it's not entirely out of the question), she'd probably just end up getting really frustrated when she distorts a monstergirl, only for that distortion to immediately monsterize even further and become husband-obsessed again... and then the distortion would eventually become an abnormality and just monsterize even further...Okay, let's stop here. Mixing distortions and mamano mana sounds like a horrible idea.
>>96876028>Other anons have said this but MGE is a hopeful setting. A lot of the stuff in it only works because it's a world where ultimately it all works for the betterOh yeah, the monstergirl corruption and forcing mamano instincts onto people is real hopeful, totally.
>>96876028>Other anons have said this but MGE is a hopeful setting.Humans get completely genocided. I bet you think White Replacement is "hopeful".
>>96876093I mean, yeah, that's how it works in the setting. Everything works out alright in the end, everyone ends up a god with an eternally loyal waifu (or more then one) vy their side forever. It sounds absurd, but you're not meant to think all that hard about it, you should be too busy jerking off for that.
>>96876006Well the guy making the jump asked what they should do. I gave a suggestion. I am not policing anything. The Jump maker can do whatever they feel like. Hell if the people taking the jump want preschooler sex, I can't stop them. It doesn't matter to me.
>>96876115I mean, it is a genocide by the strict UN definition but I can think of much less pleasant ways for your race to go out then "a bunch of hot as fuck monstergirls show up and breed it out of your next generations"
>>96876068>Okay, let's stop here. Mixing distortions and mamano mana sounds like a horrible idea.More than Getter and Spiral energy?
>>96876154What happens if you mix mamamo and spiral energy together?
>>96876068I don't think monstergirls can distort. It happens when some fundamental underpinning of your identity breaks down- what do they have to crumble over? They're literally right by the setting's norms.
>>96876182NTA, but I would think a guy would distort if he started alping.
>>96876119>It sounds absurd, but you're not meant to think all that hard about it, you should be too busy jerking off for that.Oh, sure, I can jerk off to the porn fine, but I don't often jerk off while I'm in this thread. And I just get a little annoyed when people in this thread that try to have genuine discussion about MGE when it's an extremely poorly built setting that bends over backwards to try and mix 'wholesome good end' with 'corruption fetish' when those two things are pretty much completely incompatible.Which results in people trying to present the mamano as genuinely the 'good' faction when they constantly turn people into monstergirls against their will. Anyways, MGE talk tends to fucking eat the thread and I do not want to discuss it any more, so I'll just say agree to disagree and leave it there. I don't think anyone is going to convince anyone else here. >>96876154Getter & Spiral would be vastly more powerful and could probably be used for good purposes. Distortions are basically never good for anyone except for sometimes the user, so mixing them with anything is a really poor choice.Anyways, we should toss all four into a vat. Alongside phyrexian oil. And Flood spores.>>96876182... Because they presumably have hopes and dreams and ideals they can crumble over beyond just their identity as a monstergirl?

>>96877499>rules are dumb and autisticWelcome to the jumpchain thread. As opposed to expecting to get sucked off for including something that screws up every rule in Jumpchain. Not even subtly, but in a way that immediately starts generating questions the second you sit down and try to make a build for it. Shit like "wait, do I "have" Companions if my build hasn't been finished yet so that I can import them into the other jump?" And also (apparently) something that screws with the rules of jump ordering in a way that jump makers really ought to take into account when balancing their own jumps going forward, if it is a guarantee on your chain that a jumper can always have done some other jump first or even concurrently.
Happy Halloween! Deltarune is done!https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DaqAfFxZGlA4lKV-DxCVZ6-f0wYSZ8b4/view?usp=drivesdk
>>96877499Also, I'm not "warned" for "shitposting." I'm banned for having posted my rules to deconflict Supplement Mode early, so that the crowd of people shitflinging about it would get it out of their system early. Rules that are included in all my jumps, retroactively and going forward.
>>96877514Yeah, so you aren't even being remotely subtle about your "rules" being seethe about things other people have put it their jumps. So I would call it drama.
>>96877520Certainly I dislike having to have wasted a bunch of time writing several pages of rules to try to cover every absurd edge case brought up by people writing unwanted supplements to my jumps. Does my mere emotional state make rules which are necessary to even be able to complete a build without descending into houserules "dramatic"? It's not like I'm insulting people or being snide in the rules themselves. They're a frank discussion of all the details I personally observed as being issues when thinking through how my jumps would be used with supplement mode. They even explicitly defer to people who write supplement mode drawbacks (and notes, I had to be careful in my language about "jump combining effects" to account for how Poka the Blind Girl offers supplementing through a note rather than a Drawback), for the explicit reason of stopping a situation where two jumpmakers have offered contradictory rulings about their combined jump.
>>96877539People have been able to use supplements and combine jumps without the help of your rules for a very long time, so they are by no means necessary. It is just your particular flavor of autism that can't compute it.>Does my mere emotional stateSo you accept that it is seethe. And you intend to include multiple pages of seethe in every jump you make going forward, and presumably to every old jump when you update them? This is both dramatic and very cringe, yes.Unironically if you just made a single doc which contained the rules as an optional doc people can use if they like it would achieve basically the same thing. Most people who never needed your rules would continue as normal, and if another autist of variety showed up they could be directed to them if they needed the clarity or whatever.
If Gohan doesn't read books, even Jiren will cry!
>>96877556What good would a page of my houserules do? People can houserule whatever they want anyway. I want my jumps to be mechanically rigorous, so that when a player uses them they can't fall into a state where the CYOA's rules are contradictory, undefined, or fuck you over. The fact that a user would NEED to use houserules on my jump to use it is the problem. Indeed, a jump that needs houserules to be usable is nearly the definition of what a "problem" is. It's exactly like Companion imports. There are no general rules for importing Companions. That means that from now to forever all jump makers have to write in a Companion Import option, and each one is very slightly different with different CP costs and budgets for each individual jump. Saying that I should stop including Companion import options and instead publish a houserule document that allows you to import 8 Companions for 300 CP with a budget of 600 misses the point entirely. I don't want to present the idea of importing companions for people to consider as a modification for their chain. I want THE rules for my jumps to include companion imports, officially.

>>96877578>So the Dark Age version of Changelings had another weakness the Dark Medieval jump doesn't mention. Thus obtaining the dependency on wonder and weakness to apathy.Stop dodging these compelling reasons why fae should cost the same as mages and demons in Dark Ages.

Though, even if it did the mamono run the afterlife and even aside from that mamono mana can resurrect people really easily, so they can just revive him.And then, there are also other fail safes to things like that, like the mamono's own mana just outright rewriting the past.

Do you guys think you can game one piece and use big mom's fruit, with immortality. To basically pump thousands of years of life into something, like a cloud? Big mom demands money or age as tribute, but if you are immortal, you don't need age, you have infinite age?Is this even plausible?
>>96878874>>96878865Nah, Lescatie isn't the main event or even the most detailed (that's Side 3's Court Alf history). It's just the one fanfic authors that dislike the mamono tend to mono-focus on, but it's not the most important event or even normally relevant aside from the opening section of one World Guide and later the main location explored on one of the Side Guides, which are focused on tourism.MGE itself is mostly books talking about the setting, and the few canon short stories don't much focus on the process of monsterization itself. But basically, monsterization in MGE is more or less used as a mean to have the characters become hornier, more direct and change outfits/appearance.The process isn't focused on and most times it just goes "mamono mana instantly monsterizes the girl" rather than some slow corruption.Mamono also tend to solve things without too much effort when they get directly involved, so the franchise ultimately is nearly entirely composed of information about: species, locations, spells, items, activities, etc. that you can use to imagine a happy married life with a monster girl(s).
>>96879044Also, it’s worth keeping in mind that MGE is written by a person from a nation where people have died from working 600 hours in a month, so the idea that Fate itself has lined up the perfect waifu who will kick down the door and drag you into a relaxing and enjoyable life if they have to is a very nice one for them.
>>96878996I don't know how that would work because it's possible to be immortal in One Piece via the eternal youth surgery but it seems unlikely that exploit wouldn't be patched out somehow
>>96879180But it's unlikely for someone to become biologically immortal and also get big mom's fruit. It basically hasn't happened, ever, in one piece. What if you create a farm planet where humans live and die, purely so you can farm their life force and pump it into random objects? That could work, its morally questionable, but it works.
>>96879195That's Whole Cake Island.
>>96879251Honestly, why doesn't big mom just put all that lifespan into a few minions that would be more or less nearly invincible?Women, probably.
>>96879274She's mentally a child and wants to have a magic Disneyland kingdom that reminds her of the happiest day of her life. She's a Disney adult.
>>96877497Good, how about you stop posting jumps here as well
>>96879274>Honestly, why doesn't big mom just put all that lifespan into a few minions that would be more or less nearly invincible?Oda gave the strongest female marine the washing fruit and the strongest female pirate is all about pumping out kids and being retarded. Of course she wouldn't do anything.

>>96878996Sure, it's not like devil fruits are balancedI think there'd be a limit on how powerful one single thing could become but making a huge army seems possible
