>>96896763The Elusive Samurai was lovely, I enjoyed that anime.

>>96896763ES and DDD made me reconsider how to handle dodges and parries when running rule-light games.
>>96897221I remember when Dandadan came out and one of my players first made a monk, then was kicking people out of the way when he had the initiative first. Took me a while to connect the dots, but hey, I remember when people started to lob random items due to pic related, too
>>96897262Momo's dodging for others by simply kicking them aside before they even notice danger advancing in their way is really something else. The anime is so-so, the humor is way too fucking meta, but the fight sequences are really well choreographed and drawn. They clearly know where to put their money into.
>>96897262>pic relatedBoth Hollow Earth Expedition and Broken Compass (which shamelessly traced over shots from Mummy for its "art") have rules specifically written to make this thing happen

I made and played a mounted archer once, back in 3.5 days.It was cool and novel. It was also a mechanical mess, complicated combat, restricted where and how useful I was in a fight, completely consumed my Feats and Skills, wasn't pertinent in a major part of the game (indoors/underground), and ended up with a bad case of 13th Warrior Syndrome.
This is how I play modern RPGs.>>96896655>>96911947At least, it was memorable?
