2000 years before the start of my setting the only real races to exist was elves and orcs but one humanity came like the sea peoples of our world. they came in ships to raid the coasts and torch elven kingdomsafter the humanity was done raiding elven lands they formed 3 major factions which lead to the war of wills. A Greco roman faction ruled by solar rex the king of the sun, A Persian style faction ruled by a sha and the last a faction of germanic celt people. of course the greco roman faction wins after the war ends with a the greco roman victory humanity begins to conquer the frontier lands beyond the coast but their legions have to fight elves, dragons, dwarves and other fantastical beastsafter 700 years of rule the empire begins to fall apart into 4 factions that wish to claim the title of solar rex but after the collapse of the empire the frontier lands are abandoned due to elf raids and beasts attacking deep into human territory sorry its a very rough draft

there's a worldbuilding general, ask them.
>>96908131We have a worldbuilding general for boring nogames posting like this.
>>96908131It isn't good at all, because you made no effort to link any of what you wrote to any kind of game or act of playing a game.
>>96908131Why are humans fighting against elves and dwarves? Sounds like some tryhard tourist shit.
>>96908131This feels like it tries to be original, and it fails.
>>96908131You're not writing a fictional atlas, you're writing a game setting.Your first question should be - does this background help good gameplay? Does it provide story hooks, does it help give fun and meaningful characterization? Does it suggest mechanics?
>>96908131>2000 years Already failed. Never start with what happened centuries before any of the PCs were alive.
