That in-turn opens a can of worms of things you can append when your answer is forced to only be yes/no.

If they say "No", they have committed to not being able to counter you. So you can play a combo with impunity.Forcing them to violate it (like asking "will you attack?" and then goading them after they say "no") is pointless yeah but that doesn't mean its not powerful to lock in opponents to certain lines of play.

The strictness depends on the country but smoking indoors in public spaces is forbidden by default unless the establishment explicitly allows it.Over here that's only the case for bars, night clubs, and such. Something like an LGS would never allow it.
