Read Diary of a Dead Wizard which I whole-heartedly recommend. The quality of writing is unusually high with only one or two discrepancies (the vast majority of early "plot holes" aren't plot holes and do in fact get resolved and answered later on, but there are still one or two parts that were either dropped or the author seemingly forgot about and never directly addressed). Diary of a Dead Wizard is lovecraftian and dark but it has just enough humor or hope to keep it from being grim and totally depressing.I shouldn't need to say this, but read Reverend Insanity if you've never seen it before. Fang Yuan is an amazing character. Also worth looking into is I Am the Fated Villain with Gu Changge who is what every CC build wishes they could become (if you are into wuxia type cultivation stuff, check it out). I'm also reading through Dungeon Battle Royal right now which is pretty interesting and is about world/nation building in a PvP free for all kind of setting but it definitely has the weakest writing. I still am enjoying it, though. Dungeon Battle Royal is basically about some isekai goddess showing up on Earth and turning everyone into Law (heroes) versus Chaos (demon kings), and the heroes have to kill all the demon kings to win, while the demon kings have to defeat, submit, or recruit other factions into their nation, so it's interesting and I think most demon lord CYOA fans here would enjoy it.

I can get any assortment of powers but I'll get path to victory at 2nd, followed by observer, and get paramount to get a grab bag of powers to switch to and use for path to victory, etc.
