Last major thing he was involved with was that he and Kairos teamed up to take out Guilliman just after he had resurrected. They trap him in a maze, but Guilliman gets bailed out by the Harlequins. Then Guilliman beats Skarbrand in a duel and escapes the maze. I think a black templar marshal sacrificed himself or something to help beat him.

Before that, he and Biel-Tan's Avatar of Khaine had a mutual kill when Biel-Tan got shattered in the Ynnead summoning plot

From the summary of Ashes of the Imperium
>Dorn tells Archamus that the he does not know what Emperor said to him before he did put him on the throne but it could have been "do it" or "don't do it". When he does put the Emperor on the throne he looks at Dorn with sheer horror in his eye. Dorn then orders Archamus to help with the rebuilding efforts and to find a way to sway The Lion and Leman to their side.

Did Dorn fuck over the Emperor? Why was the Emperor's face full of horror?

At least she cant claim to be a video game dev/writer despite just being credited as "accessibility consultant", whatever that is.

>>
>>96971809
Doubt it, the Imperium is millions of years away from being conquered and by that time we will have brought back prior knowledge and AI and dominate the Universe again.
>>
>>96971821
Not really. The way to Terra is open. If Terra falls, the galaxy falls.

>>96971809
The regions west and east of Terra are being ravaged by the murder curse. Leviathan is about to reach Segmentum Solar and Haarken Worldclaimer is one Sanctus Wall away from rushing into Segmentum Solar.
>>
>>96971821
More like millenia at most.
>>
>>96971833
Cawl has made more scientific advancements in the dozen years he's been back than every other faction combined. The Mechanicus has the Necrons and the Tau shitting their pants with how advanced they are.
>>
>>96971757
Did the Horus Heresy series really reveal a new, impactful to the 40th millenium, twist that wasnt there before the series?
No, I'm not talking about useless, ultimately inconsequential shit like "Janus Cassandrian, 3rd Captain of the Imperial Fists is ACTUALLY Cassandor Barbaros, the first Capter Master of the Fisting Fisters!"
I'm talking about new, 40k changing twists. We knew who the traitor primarchs were, the loyalists, who lived, who died. Nobody flipped sides, everything was self contained. We may get shit like "maybe this is why the Tyranids are coming" (which in itself is a stupid reason). But ultmately I dont think the Horus Heresy series changed the backstory a lot. We still dont know who Cypher is. We still dont know if Alpharius/Omegon are really traitors. We're not even sure if its really a shard of Magnus that leads the Grey Knights.
Its all fluff for fluff.

So how would this new Scouring series be any different?

Idk about the Crons but the Tau are a nonissue
>>
>>96971846
No. They are not.
The only thing that shocked and then pissed off the Necrons was the mass unleashing of DAoT weapons that Cawl's Admech armies brought with them without his awareness and permission.
>>
>>96971846
No they don’t. All it’s done is make them escalate and brings out more super weapons. It also took most of the 10k years the imperium has been around for Cawl to make those upgrades. Most of the shit they used in the Pariah Nexus were things they’d found buried over the millenia.
>>
>>96971857
>was the mass unleashing of DAoT weapons
Which they will be pumping out and using in untold numbers from now on.
>>
>>96971853
Yes.
The Emperor made a deal with Chaos.
Abaddon is the true chosen of the gods, not Horus.
The Tyranids were attracted by the explosion on Sotha
The Star Child storyline was revived.
etc.

The Cabal subplot went nowhere.
We still dont know what happened to the primarch's splitting up. Yes, Erdra was involved, but why? How? Just as she got interesting, she got killed off so she wont influence 40k.

I really don't see leandros doing that because hes staunchly against chaos. The whole thing about him reporting titus to the inquisition was because titus used a chaos artifact to fight chaos. Honestly I think that Leandros ending up as an Inquisition Acolyte would make more sense.

The High Lords knew about the Tau for centuries. They ordered the Damocles Crusade.
Execution Forces cannot be sent out without the full agreement of all High Lords. Which means all the High Lords of Terra marked Aun'Va, Farsight, and Shadowsun for death.
The Retribution Task Force sent to Agrellan was the direct wrath of Terra for the defeat of the Raven Guards (A first Founding Chapter) on Prefectia.

Also Commander Dante considers the rise of the T'au as a notable thing worth mentioning.

>‘I have lived a long time. I have seen things I thought never to see. Every century I survive presents a new horror to test our Imperium. I have seen the Necrons awaken. I have witnessed the Tau emerge. I was there when the hive fleets first came out of the intergalactic void to prey upon the worlds of our species. I have fought Ghazgkhull, the great beast of the Orks, upon the thrice-damned world of Armageddon. I have seen Chapters fall. I have seen worlds die. I have seen the flower of the Imperium’s martial might laid low by the perfidy of traitors. I have seen the ambition of vain men deliver the innocent into the obscene hungers of the endless dark.’

>We still dont know why the Emperor fucked Angron over besides "Crusade gotta go fast, babeee"
GW probably think it'd be funny to fuck Angron over back then. Well not so funny now that they have to think of something to justify that shit
>The Cabal subplot went nowhere.
They were meant to manipulate Alpharius into destroy mankind = destroy chaos. But then again, it'd be dumb for a primarch to listen to a bunch of xenosfucks anyway.
>We still dont know what happened to the primarch's splitting up. Yes, Erdra was involved, but why? How? Just as she got interesting, she got killed off so she wont influence 40k.
We kind a did. She didn't want Big E to turn them into a bunch murderous machines for his ambition so she fucked him over. That's it, no chaos fuckery or deep machination at work here.

Abnett constructing mythological metatextuality by framing the Horus Heresy as a Titanomachy, where the Emperor is cast as Cronus, Erda as Rhea, and Horus as Zeus. Combined with persistent invocation of motifs of tarot and alchemy. Basically serving to elevate the narrative from one of retards fighting retards to one of mythological figures clashing.

Tau aren't a minor Xenos, they've proven that if left unchecked they'll bloat into an insane force to be reckoned with so thats why they are considered a major threat.

Minor xenos generally refers more to the dozens of myriad species that show up in 1 or 2 stories and thats it.

>Tau aren't a minor Xenos
They absolutely are. They have like...what, 300 worlds at most?

The Imperium has a million. The Necrons have millions. Orks probably have millions. The Tyranids ate billions. Chaos probably has millions now.

Nothing that the Tau does will ever get the Imperium to take them seriously. If the Tau took Ultramar, all 500 worlds of it, the Imperium would laugh in their faces because they STILL wouldn't have .1% of the planets that the Imperium does.

Yes.

The Imperium sends out Extermination Forces as naturally as breathing.

Execution Forces are Kill Teams made up of all major Temples of the Imperial Assassins. For an Execution Team to be sent, all High Lords must agree to authorise their deployment and sanction their target.

It's rare and reversed for the most hated and dangerous enemies of the Imperium.

Found it.
The 4th ed corebook says that the Tau are the most dynamic and vital of the alien races that wage war against the Imperium.

Also found this.
>>Some of the xenos discovered are peaceful, ensuring they are easily subjugated or, if troops are readily available and the situation dictates, mercilessly exterminated. So it has always been, and of these rninor or inconsequential races, little more need be mentioned. There are other aliens throughout the galaxy, however, whose existences have proven much more problematic for the Imperium.
The fucking Imperium exterminates or enslaves peaceful Xenos races!

Even though las fusils are mathmatically better I kind of prefer the threat of flat d3 precision from the bolt rifles. 2 snipers plus 2 instigator carbines from the sergeant plus a captain. move-shoot-move and a free strat each round. eliminators don't have enough shots to be a massive threat to units.

So I managed to shave down the imperial symbol on the leg and the shoulderpad, but obviously I let the chest one cause I didnt think I could get rid of it without destroying the piece. Ill just incorporate it in the paint scheme i suppose.

A. What should I do with the birds? Should I stick them to the base and just paint them up as cool bloody birds or put them on another model
>>
>>96972854
That's the shittiest direction GW could take him.

Leandros' charm, aside from filtering self-insertfags who get mad at him dogging om Titus, is that he is ultimately as loyal as Titus. His rigid adherence to dogma - which is also why he's a perfect chaplain - is why they clash, not because of some lame sekrit heretic plot. The two are practically tailor made for buddy cop adventures where they constantly bicker and argue over the "right" way to be loyal and I'll be super disappointed if we never get thst because GW decided to hijack Titus.

>>
>>96973632
>Randomly having eldar kidnap him was already stupid
That's not something gw made up yesterday, it's been leandros's backstory for a while now
him not following the codex properly was what lead to his capture and he's become dogmatic from that because he felt at fault for deaths that happened in that situation
Titus saved him and took leandros under his wing, and that was why he had him in his close retinue in the first game

>>
>>96973916
>You can't kill us all!
A classic battle plan
>>
>>96973907
assault intercessors are considered "close combat support" which are separate from battleline squads
battle companies are listed for
6 Battleline Squads (pretty much just Intercessors and Heavy intercessors)
2 Close Support Squads (anyone with a sword, bike, or jetpack and atv for some reason)
2 Fire Support Squads (the actual fun stuff)
seems limiting for battleline honestly
>>
>>96973881
The old company organisation doesn't really make sense with current units, even though they sometimes pretend it does. Intercessors aren't tactical squads, and tactical squads are entirely redundant. Primaris marines change between tacticus, gravis and phobos on a missin by mission basis, they're not designated to one unit type.

My main point is that the runes are a complete after thought seemingly. The armor is very plain, has no symbolism or anything, their guns are plain, their vehicles are plain. It looks like they made a generic scifi army, which is fine, but then said "Oh shit, we need to make them 'unique'. Throw some runes on there idk" If they wanted to go the awful norse route they should have had the balls to actually do that instead of just tacking on a few random little things

You're literally not trying anything. You won't remove the chest aquila because that will ruin it according to you, but you removed everything else, and you're not replacing them with anything

Shaving the other imperial bits on the model without destroying them was a new thing for me to try.
Shaving the chest piece was too small and I was worried it would destroy it too much. Its also very central so I made the concesion to use it as is.
Also I just said I'd be doing freehanding and lightning on the parts that I removed, so I am replacing them with other stuff.
Also, I didnt take a pic but I added a bunch of extra stuff on the base rock, like hands crawling out of the toxic sludge and skulls and even a rotted/flayed corpse.
So I'm happy enough with the changes I made. I might even add those wings cause I think they look cool but ill decide that later.

Salamanders had a very low percent of successful geneseed implantation. This is why they had so few successor chapters (more easily maintained genelines were normally chosen for a founding, like DA, IF or Ultras) and why it took them so long to recover from the Drop Site Massacre.
The cursed founding modifications were trying to alleviate that.

Black Templars did this for like 3 weeks before GW got so ass mad black tide worked again they fisted the faction to competitive irrelevance for the remainder of 10th
Hilariously they were fine with BT winning tournaments for months as long as it was only because they got to put multi meltas on their vehicles
>>
>>96974684
Regular Terminators are notoriously underpowered and need a Librarian to get better shooting (Libraius Conclave lets you stack other buffs too). Assault Terminators are more viable but still niche, though being the new and shiny thing, they’ve had more rules support lately. Apparently the new Iron Hands Detachment with the new character is strong for Terminators, while the new Ultramarine one gives you lots of mobility with Terminator Calgar letting you spam advance and charge for three turns (or advance and shoot)

as someone who's sold almost a dozen armies over the years, NEVER accept less than 50% MSRP for a used army sale. you can always get at least that much, almost completely regardless of the condition of the army, unless you have literally smashed the minis under a steamroller, you should be able to get at least half of what they cost new. warhammer stuff holds its value really well and demand is very high for it
