What kind of rations does your party typically bring?
>>
>>96983630
I love blue cheese.
>>
>>96983630
This post is extremely low-quality
>>
>>96983661
looks like a decent meal to me
>>
>>96983630
what is the green thing?
>>
>>96983962
Its romanesco broccoli. It looks very out of place in that picture, like they went out of their way to find something that would look alien to most people. Better off just 3D printing and painting a non-existent blue-striped drupe or whatever.
>>
>>96983630
My halfling character primarily cooks the food for the party, don’t worry if it’s the same cauldron she makes the stew in as well as her brews, potions and salves.
>>
>>96983630
that map/table cloth looks pretty clean considering, save for the paper towels, you're eating off of it directly
you know plates exist right?

Well, as the not-actual-quote from a Swedish 18th century cookbook goes: one takes what one has.
>>
>>96983630
The rulebook calls them Rations. Don't know what's in them, don't care.
>>
>>96983630
Depends on the game.
>>
>>96984580
I recognize most of the ingredients except for the brown mass holding it all together.
>>
>>96984081
plates are extra weight/mass to carry, which is unnecessary when the cloth will do just fine

This is a strange autism.
>>
>>96983630
I don't know.
That sort of minutae generally isn't in my games, so I abstract it with the assumption they eat whatever they hunt between areas.

>this shit again
>now bumpfag will keep it going till Easter
>>
>>96985328
Maybe not so strange considering the whole board now basically comprises of Generals, fetish baiting, political baiting, and stale reposts.
>>
>>96985328
I don't know if I'd really call four posts over the course of 5 years autism. Hell really only one of those could be proven as OP.
>>
>>96985376
What went wrong here? Wasn't even like this five years ago, and basically another world 10 years ago.
>>
>>96985253
Cuscuz. These are grains of corn, wheat, or cassava that people cook by steaming.
>>
>>96983630
Obviously it depends on what's available in the local area. You're not gonna find elvish cheese in the orcish badlands
>>
>>96985777
>You're not gonna find elvish cheese in the orcish badlands
What if the orcs had recently raided the elves?
>>
>>96985864
Don't eat raid food. Enjoy local delicacies, like Grung's famous "Fromunda Orc Nuts and Cheese."
>>
pre-poisoned moldy bread and infinite wine pitcher
I'm immune and can eat rocks if need be
rest is up to them
>>
>>96986111
>infinite wine pitcher
Is it good wine?
>>
>>96983630
Ring of sustenance.
>>
I like Townsends as inspiration for fantasy food.
>>
>>96984610
>dur dur don't want to imagination, can't, I rolled 17, does that hit? OK 10 damage. Next.
>>
>>96983630
She recently had some delicious crab soup, although it's less a soup and more of a thick-ish st jaques sauce type deal.
>>96983993
It does look fuckin alien, like most fractal shit. Tastes absolutely delicious though, puts broccoli and brussels to shame.
>>
>>96985376
What else are we going to talk about?
>>
>>96987104
Yeah, I prefer playing games when I'm playing games.
>>
>>96986137
not really
but keeps you hydrated and is cleaner than most water in case of wounds
>>
>>96985290
BUT WHAT I'M SAYING IS that table cloth is unnaturally clean.
>>
>>96989739
prestidigitation?
>>
>>96989770
Huh?Predigestion? What like chewing your food? Durrr of course I do.
>>
>>96983630
Hard cheese, dried meat. Hardtack and canned meals in Tl5-6 games, MREs in TL7+.
>>
>>96986137
Infinite containers work on the same principle as "good wine in small bottle". If the cup is giving you everflowing mead you better fucking love mead because it's going to taste about as near to horse urine as you can get before it stops being mead.
>>
>>96989856
what is the "good wine in small bottle" principle?
>>
>>96988153
Right I'll be sure to call you when we get chutes and ladders out bud. Til then, the rest of us are playing roleplaying games.
>>
>>96989946
No you're not.
>>
>>96985376
>the whole board
The whole *site
>>
A lot of people here don't care for Dungeon Meishi, but I still say having skills to make food items out of defeated monsters is a neat game mechanic.
>>
>>96985359
what happened to one week threads?
>>
>>96985698
Posting about cool stuff that happened during a session is bad, because it didn't actually happen, or the information that is freely given will be stolen / "stolen" by content farmers.
Posting art, as pictures or text, is bad regardless of quality, because it has no relation to tabletop games, inspiration be damned. An artist who genuinely wants to share can be a fragile thing, but a dick empowered by smut is not so easily swayed.
We could argue for weeks over Quests, their innocence or the harm they've caused, but the fact remains: it has been years, and the wounds refuse to heal. The whys of such are, again, a thing we could argue about for some time.
A general shift in 4chan as a whole, in several ways. Oldfags are growing older, often becoming wiser or more stubborn, if not simply leaving. New users are naturally the product of their generation, with all the usual quirks of new users coming to grips with 4chan and /tg/ culture: both changing and being changed.

Then there are dorks like me who enjoy writing essays about this sort of thing, bemoaning the present etc., more than actively working to improve the situation in a positive, constructive way.
