How often do you return to a CYOA you enjoyed? I mean to really play it. I’ve found I have a really hard time getting as invested and in-depth after the first time, even with the ones I mentally return to with some frequency. Some anons would argue that consuming souls is a mercy because it spares them from further suffering, but that's an entirely different conversation. I myself believe that even a small amount of joy is worth a lifetime of misery, but many do disagree and have their own sound reasonings.
