Big problem in my pod is that despite us staying bracket 2/3, everyone install targets people’s commanders for removal. Doesn't matter how weak they are, even my Bill Ferny gets one-shotted the second anyone gets a chance. My issue is that I tend to build decks around my commanders. Narset Enlightened Master, Bill Ferny, Indoraptor, Lathiel, Ureni, etcI need to build a deck that works completely fine on its own, but what it does is sped up/done better with the commander out. Any recommendations?

I've been realizing that all of my new decks are UB. And I don't really see myself changing that in the future. UW doesn't resonate with me at all anymore. Even when there's a mechanically interesting UW card, I think well I could build this, or I could build yet another character from a beloved IP that resonates with me emotionally. The fact is UW has never resonated with anyone emotionally because they put no effort into their creation or their stories. What even is the purpose of UW at this point? It seems to me like the future for the game is that everything will be UB. UB also seems to excite both new and old players alike as they see their favorite IP get added to the game. I'll admit that I'm not a fan of all of them, I've never liked marvel, but those cards can simply be for the marvel fans. I'll use my better IP to go against theirs. Has anyone else been completely focused on building UB commanders? Join me on saying farewell to UW forever

A cantrip and a Counterspell for each puts me at needing to save nine mana to get through your turns, not including whatever I want to play on my turn. And what am I getting in return? Iterated this Tekuthal counter-removal deck about the best I can, and it's still pretty bad. The more I play it, the more I wish Tekuthal had just one more color to mess around with. It's often mana-starved and the pieces that make the deck work are somewhat limited.But it is fun when it gets going. It's fidget spin-y after you've tutored out Staff of Compleation and can start juggling the abilities of your summons and sagas.A lot of the deck's cuter interactions have eluded me so far. (Decree of Silence + Liquimetal Torque; Smokestack + Proliferate + your commander) so I'm holding onto it longer than I do most decks.I might cut Valefor as well despite him being a summon. He's just so fucking terrible.

And then I had ~80 cards leftover so I bought all the cheap towns, got The Wandering Minstrel, and made a very cheap/low power "leftovers" deck with all the cuts/cards that I bought but took out of the other decks I made. I played 4 games tonight3rd Doctor / Sarah went 1-1Taii Wakeen went 1-0Baral and Kari 0-1The game I won with 3rd/Sarah ended up being quite fun. I am halfway done upgrading the deck so its in an odd state. I had Parhelion 2 in even tho its not in the moxfield list. I hard cast this bad boy. I ended up generating a decent amount of value off Parhelion. I cast Ethersworn Sphinx and cascaded into Junk Winder which shutdown 2 players mana dorks hard. I worldly tutored for Academy Manufactor which more and more feels like the big power card for my token decks. I should have played 3rd doctor sooner but he did help me win on the last turn by crewing Parhelion and being a big beater to enable overwhelming stampede.Beat a guy who entombed and resurrected a Consecrated Sphinx, so felt good.
