Why do DMs love putting paladins into 'you must fall' scenarios?
this place really does just take /v/ leftover threads Is that you craig?
We don't. We love putting paladins into "you might fall, but a pure, merciful heart can stay true and make the world a better place"
>>97180635paladins haven't been able to fall for a decade.
this thread has layers to it
>>97180757Sounds like you just suck at pushing people over.
>>97180635Why are paladins always black now?
>>97181260Niggading was my nigga in Diablo 2.
>>97180635OOTS is to blame. I will not elaborate.
>>97180635It the cliche. Just like barbarians go berserk, or wizards go insane etc.
>>97180635Because most DMs don't understand morality and they can get a 'win' without killing character. It's seen as acceptable because they didn't make you fall, you did it yourself. It's a form of bullshit they can get away with.
>>97181260>now>not actual decades
>>97180635Sometimes it's the DM's way to make sure the player plays the Lawful Good character correctly, sometimes it's to make a good story (faith should be tested, redemption arc, rebirth, etc), or sometimes it's because the DM is a cunt.
>>97180635It's difficult to make a good story when a character is PERFECT.
