What's the weirdest, wild PC you've ever played or allowed? I let a player play a wyrmling deep dragon (DotU) in one campaign. Just Acid Spyro.
>>97187628I had one of my players discover over the course of the campaign that he was actually a young red dragon who was polymorphed into a red dragonborn at an early age. He unlocked his true form during the final battle with Tiamat
Most of my players don't enjoy playing humans or demihumans. We like the weird shit.
>>97188023For one-shots, sometimes I like to let a brand new player play as a young or wyrmling dragon, just so they're not inundated with too many things to look through on a character sheet
We've had dullahans, vampires, skeletons, ghosts, cyborgs, and cartoon characters, dunno what I would say is the weirdest
>>97187628Had a group of players play ogres. They had lots of fun raiding human settlements, eating the inhabitants and their livestock, fighting knights, tossing dwarves off cliffs, burning elven woods, squashing halflings and goblins, fighting and allying with orc, ogre and hill giant tribes, etc. They even killed a dragon and occupied it's cave. Great fun.
Wasn't the DM for this but I had someone play an awakened Fox that was a Wild Magic Sorcerer in a game I was in. Sadly we remember him more for the Wild magic shenanigans more than him being a barely sapient animal.
