Help, what happened to Sora? Did they make a brand new model with no backwards compatibility? Is there any way to get the older model back?
>Do not make eye contact with the Spider-Things, do not talk to the Spider-Things.
>>97199751Yep new model. I'm not having much luck with the old prompts, but at least the gore filter is tuned down a little.
>>97199751>Did they make a brand new model with no backwards compatibility?Yes.>Is there any way to get the older model back? No.From what I can tell, the new model is basically an upgraded version of DALL-E 3 that incorporates old-Sora's ability to avoid anatomical errors.
>>97199777It looks a lot like a finetuned version of a chinese image model called Z-Image. Give me the prompt for an image you made with Sora, I want to see how similar it would be in Z-Image.
Don't know about you guys, but I was fine with the old model. Thought it was pretty great actually.
>>97199815>This image is a dark classical oil painting, in a photorealistic style with sharp details, extreme chiaroscuro, deep colors, harsh contrasts, and no impasto. A slim woman wearing an ornate baroque red hooded gown, with mechanical goggles, elegant bionic forearms and legs, and engraved metal plating that completely covers her forehead and skull. she is walking through a vast black metal gothic cathedral lit coldly by shafts of dim blue light shining down from a vaulted ceiling high above. Give it a shot. I've never messed with Z-image, so I'd be interested to see how it turns out.
>>97199822I'm mixed on the new model. It's much better at adding contextually appropriate detail to characters, and it's much more willing to make female characters beautiful, but I'm really not liking how it renders the background as a kind of splotchy mess.
Looking through some older gens and found a Bingbing with a womb tattoo. There's no way I prompted that. The AI took some serious liberties here.
>>97199880>Bing sees a prompt of a southeast Asian girl>"Aha, anon clearly wants porn!"And to think people say AI doesn't understand what it's creating.
>>97199837It turned out quite different, yours definitely has more of a "gpt-image" look to it.
>>97199777>trips of truthNo offence but is the story of Salafie going anywhere? Don't get me wrong, I enjoy reading your chapters but if somebody put the gun against my head and told me to tell what's going on I would most likely reply "Shoot".
>>97199999>quint ninesWitnessed. Sorry it's been slow, but I didn't realize anybody was still reading it, and I've run into a problem where some things in the next few chapters are pushing the limits of what AI can depict, probably worsened now by the loss of old Sora. But it's definitely going somewhere. If you really want to know where things are headed:There will be one last "social" section where Salafié's tour of the cruiser concludes with an attempt to provoke a confrontation with Inquisitor Cosini, which fails, as the Inquisitor is already planning his own much more dramatic martyrdom. He departs, feigning fear, but then detonates the EMP bomb he's concealed aboard Salafié's cruiser as she's ascending back into orbit, before ramming the stricken cruiser with his own frigate so that it falls to the surface below and is destroyed (this is the part that I'm stuck on for the moment).Salafié and the Inquisitor perish in the crash. The Adeptus Mechanicus send a strike team down to the wreckage of the cruiser to ensure that she's finally gone for good, but find that the nanomachines contained within her corpse have been unleashed as a sort of biomechanical horror that wipes out the strike team. The crash site is then besieged by the Imperial Guard on order of a new Inquisitor character, and the current story arc ends with them shelling the site for decades, viewed in a time lapse from above as the trench lines grow around the crater and the landscape becomes ever more devastated (another tricky scene to gen). That's where "Volume 1" of the story ends, but I have some plans to continue things with Salafié finding herself resurrected by the machines amidst this wasteland after a substantial timeskip and finally accepting her long-foreshadowed destiny as the chosen of Vashtorr, on a quest to attain daemonhood, where the story would finally conclude.

>>97200362I've been enjoying it. I've had less time these last couple weeks since I started a new job to keep the skogsra story turn around low.
>>97199850Wdym splotchy mess? I haven't seen a sora background that's such.
>>97199777>that incorporates old-Sora's ability to avoid anatomical errors.I’m getting more six fingered hands now than I did in like the last 10 months with the old Sora>>97199822I preferred the old model, with this one, some prompts, especially realistic ones, have a plastic feel to them, or the background doesn't match the style of a character, or the variety of artstyles is even less than beforeSometime the same prompt give you a totally different arstyle if you use a different characterBut in the end, it will be, as always, a matter of habitNevertheless, it's a huge step understanding the wording of the prompt, not lefting out small detailsBut it still read "dark fantasy" as the image should be dark, and not as a one meaning
>Occasionally, Veyra is permitted to venture beyond the tight confines of the frigate's utility tubes and maintenance ducts, drifting instead into the wide, cavernous recesses of the lower decks. There, she floats freely, basking in the hush of zero gravity as it eases the constant strain on her spindly, overlong limbs.
>>97200571>I've been enjoying itAre you able to describe it in any detail?
>>97202213>lower decksHow she hasn't become Ghilliam dinner yet?

>>97202615The main reason checkpoints get updated and the guaranteed way they're useful is because they have a broader knowledge base of characters, since they were released later, so 16 will know characters from after 15 was released. Also, style isn't everything. There are many ways a checkpoint can be flawed that 16 might have fixed. They can be too rigid in terms of poses, for example, which is what I'm experimenting with now. A cynical answer would also be that they're also incentivized to release a new one every once in a while to keep interest up and keep hoarding civitai's local currency, which you gain by people downloading & using your models. Even if the update is somewhat of a placebo.
>>97202668>Also, style isn't everything. There are many ways a checkpoint can be flawed that 16 might have fixed. They can be too rigid in terms of poses, for example, which is what I'm experimenting with now. I see, that's the important partThanks friendo

I have finally found a similar similar style of the old SoraHighly detailed digital painting in a fantasy character art style, clean style, no brushstrokes, not 3D, not photographic styleBut it is still not a perfect blend of realistic/drawing style

>>97203086Definitely more photo-realistic than your older stuff
>>97203241https://litter.catbox.moe/6vtx8t.jpgI can't recreate a similar style for the old stuff
>>97203110Nice. Just needs elf ears or cat ears to not just look like a generic instathot.
>>97203313Thanks anon. Maybe the next will be an elf.
>>97202244Let's see, off top of my head. She ended up on a green planet and descended down into it finding a green portal. The portal brought her to a desolate place where she contacted a ship and got picked up. After spending time with the crew she discovers they are chaos cultists and slowly turns them into servitors. Once that's complete she rescues a navigator locked in the top of the ship that was held secure by a small Geller field. She makes a jump without a proper Geller field and makes contact with a greater demon that she figures she can weasel out of a deal with. She cleans up the ship, reconnects with playboy rogue trader who spends fuckwads of money cleaning up her name from being a heretic to a hero and is now throwing a party to welcome her back, but an inquisitor has been tracking her and is fucking about.Roughly.
