I just had a fantastic session and feel great. DMing may be hard, but it's one of the most rewarding things on the planet. We're playing 3.5 after years of 5e, and we're loving it. It's so much more tactically interesting and enjoyable!
Tome of Battle or no?
>>97200612Yep! We've got>Warblade>Ardent>Warmage>Wildshape Ranger>Archivist>Psychic Rogue
>>97200615The core avoiders are real...
>>97200607I'm glad for you OP. You'll have even more fun next time if you play a good game instead of D&D.
>>97200607Good. Welcome to the better edition. Enjoy your stay and have fun. Fuck 5e
>>97200607Happy for you OP>>97200712For one horrible moment I thought this was Crelly
>>97200607I'm glad you're enjoying it. I find 3.5e really encourages players and GMs to be more creative with the encounters and how they respond to them. What's been happening in the campaign so far?>>97200615Good combination of classes. Warblade, wildshape ranger and psychic rogue are some of my favourites. There's some good prestige classes available for psychic rogue especially. >ArchivistCareful with the spells you allow him to access. They can get very powerful very quickly.
So people really do migrate from 5E back to 3.5!Feels good man. Maybe my metric ton of 3.5 splatbooks will find some use again ... some day.
>>97201804>Careful with the spells you allow him to access. They can get very powerful very quickly.Yeah, I require mega-list casters like druids and archivists to get "thematic" spells out of the box only, with additional ones as treasure.
>>97201804>What's been happening in the campaign so far?I'm running Savage Tide, and we just wrapped up The Bullywug Gambit. Shit's fun as FUCK. They really, really, really, REALLY hate Vanthus. They hate him so much they managed to make Rowyn (who I rebuilt into a kobold beguiler) and Lavinia work together.
>>97200607Happy for you , OP.
>>97200607Based>>97200615Baaaased
>>97201891I'm also running Savage Tide for my kids (20-somethings) adapted to 5E and it's really good. Currently on Serpents of Scuttlecove (The Wreck). I'm building a 3D battlemat for that one right now and hope to finish it this weekend. The campaign as written is pretty brutal, and I tend to be pretty forgiving since the players are not super experienced (and they're my daughters!). But when handled carefully, it's one heck of a ride. :)
>>97203150Holy shit nice! Yeah, I almost TPK'd theme in Bullywug Gambit when I rebuilt a level 6 cleric into a level 7 druid. But they just barely squeaked out a win.
>>97200615How is DMing for 6 people? I feel like I have my hands full with 4.
>>97200607I'm adding this to my menhera folder
>>97203781It's awesome! My players are all amazing and really really fun. We use an extension on Foundry to notify us when someone types, to help avoid people zoning out.>>97204068Here's the Menhera trove:https://transmemes.netlify.app/c/menhera-chan
