I'm going to be an uncle soon, what are some good games to introduce a young niece or nephew to TRPGs? Preferably something simple and easy for young minds to understand, and which can be enjoyed with a single player and their DM.
>>97200714It'll be a few years anon. For now encourage playing with legos or army men and making up stories. They're not going to have consistent enough focus to do much gaming for a bit. Then start with simple board games like Hive.
>>97200714You've got years before they can do anything close, but Tricube Tales is free and was designed for the guy to play with his kids.
>>97200714Ryuutama is a fun one for younger players
>>97200714No offence, but I don't see a point recommending anything much. Like >>97200773 said, the tyke's not going to have the mind for a self-consistent long-term story like that for a while yet.
>>97200714My older sister and I used to play Tunnels & Trolls until we had PC in 2003. So I played Tunnels & Trolls with her children last month when they visited us. Bu it Depends on the kid if they can imagine. Ask their parents if they are read stories before going to sleep. Or if their kids can tell stories that aren't video games. Don't waste time with Aphantasia children.
>>97200773>For now encourage playing with legos or army men and making up storiesLEGO plebian, but yeah, even that is four or five years away.
