Had a 100pt game with my Votann at the LGS today vs some Ultramarines earlier. Not gonna do a full play-by-play battle report because I'm tired, but it was a pretty close game for the first few turns until attrition started taking hold and I slowly lost my grip on the primary while drawing just terrible secondary cards. I took a more balanced TAC list vs a heavy infantry marines list with no vehicles whatsoever which made my thunderkin kinda useless. imo I underestimated how good Ultras are just from their tactical flexibility - Calgar and his aggressor unit was basically just bouncing around the battlefield and fragging out while I tried to slowly chip at them with whatever I could. Still though, good ass game, I had a lot of fun, and the guy is a farmer so he gave me a free half gallon of raw milk just for showing up.

How is Solar Aux infantry as 40k IG? I've whittled it down to either them or Ash Wastes nomads for a custom regiment but they look more compatible out of the box without much effort.
