I've never had a pot dry out after I started doing that, but I've had tonnes of droppers clog from every manufacturer and even had a panzer ace bottles nib split open lengthwise and spray paint all over my wet palette. I don't think the gw flip top is perfect, but I do believe fliptop is the choice to limit the amount of annoying problems. Coat d'arms is my current favorite. The old gw hexpots were pretty good, but I might just be attributing some of that to nostalgia, or the tactile feedback of them clicking closed making it seem like they're tighter than they are. I also don't really remember how well they kept paints from drying out cause I only used them as a kid

The Rogue Trader CRPG had that one Eldar who was a lover of a Rogue Trader, there was Uthan the Perverse, there was that extremely old half-Eldar dude. Ultimately they're your dudes so if you wanna have like one or two throwaway guys, sure go for it. Just know that GW in general leans really hard in the other direction from what your dudes' lore is going for.

For the terrain builders innathread, I'm in the process of painting my giant foam hill. It's xps cladding over a styrofoam core. I hit the whole thing with a can of that army painter terrain primer what don't melt foam but I used the whole can and didn't get great coverage, it needs another coat. Now that I have one can of foam primer on, can I use regular primer?
