I myself would give it 2 dice rolls; one (1d6) to use the book (with the danger of losing one or multiple wounds), and one (1d6) to roll for its spell (be it to summon a creature, to strengthen a weapon, or whatsoever).

Perhaps we were too critical of perryfag and he was right all along. I ordered these perry cavalry for a kitbash project and I'm absolutely blown away with the quality of the spruces and the sheer value in the box. One single box came with 12 cavalry + a cavalry officer, as advertised, but it ALSO came with 8 dismounted cavalrymen so you can use your cavalry for some skirmishing i guess if you're playing a ruleset that lets you dismount, a fully coloured pamphlet describing the equipment and showcasing a uniform colour guide for every single regiment, usable fully coloured flags, AND every single spruce included CASUALTY figures for free! All this for only £22. As a long time GW enjoyer, I'm absolutely blown away by the value and thought that went into this little box. I'm sincerely starting to question why GW gets any praise at all.
