>pay 2
>get my friend's commander

What's the issue?
>>
>>97218227
First of all, there are better ways to gain control or remove other creatures for two mana you fucking retard.
>>
>>97218413
Name them
>>
>>97218428
I don't need to. Look it up yourself
>>
>>97218430
Right. So you're a shitposter talking out your ass, where only shit comes from.
Got it.
>>
>>97218451
Swords to plowshares costs one can you can remove the creature

There are many other examples.
>>
>>97218459
Remove the creature isn't taking control of the creature you fuckshit dumbass dumb dumb dumb fuck idiot retard idiotface
>>
>>97218459
StP doesn't give me my opponent's Commander.
Why are you offering oranges when we said name apples?
>>
>>97218459
>Doesn't see the difference between exiling and taking control of a creature
Okay retard. Obviously getting their commander is much better than exiling it. You get all it's abilities and they can't recast it. Often their deck is built around their commander too so it fucks them. You are terrible at the game if you can't see the difference.

>>97218476
If you take control of the creature, it becomes a liability. for all sorts of kantrips and extra effects.

It's better to just remove the creature. I take it you haven't played MTG professionally?

Wow, there are a lot of noobs on here.

Do you see why Gilded Drake is overrated?
>>
>>97218494
>No anon you see it's actually better to have no creatures
So you win by never playing any creatures or your commander at any point in the game?
>>
>>97218488
You remove it and then they can just re-cast it. What the fuck are you on about? These are two completely different ways of dealing with an issue that consequently have different consequences, value, and counterplay. Whether it's better to remove the creature or take it is context-dependent and you're probably trading 1-for-1 either way, so you had better pick the higher value option.

Also, not the other anon, but he said to name better ways to gain control of the creature. You didn't answer the question, you redirected to an unrelated subject. If your argument is that stealing a creature is a form of removal, it still doesn't answer the question of what a better way to steal a creature for 2 mana would be.

It is foolish to talk down to someone when you fail to intellectually engage with them in the first place. This isn't effective trolling, it's just disingenuous to yourself and the person talking to you. I suffered through the new captcha to send this, so I hope you take it to heart and think before you speak next time.

>Wow, there are a lot of noobs on here.

Gilded Drake was a chase rare before Commander was a thing. For that matter it was a chase rare before Elder Dragon Highlander was a thing.

For two mana you don't just remove the opponent's creature from the field; you get it onto your own field. For another two mana you can then bounce Gilded Drake back to your own hand with a card like Boomerang or Snap, then recast it to gain control of *another* one of their creatures.

Gilded Drake means your opponent never gets to keep a creature on his field AND you get to increase the size of your own field.

It's not hard to see why it's good.

>>97218430
Gilded drake is the most cost effective way to steal an opponents commander followed by volatile drake.
>>
MTG is overrated.

It's a good card, but it's not worth the absurd pricetag. There are other ways to gain control of the opponent's commander, and gaining control of the commander isn't even the best way to take it out of the game, since even if the player you stole it won't isn't just going to blow a cheap removal spell on it, you still have two other opponents that may consider you having control of the commander a bigger threat than it going back to its original owner's command zone.
A better way to get rid of a commander is stuff like Imprison In the Moon, because it also locks the opponent out from using the commander in a way that doesn't send it back to the command zone, but does so in a way that makes removing the effect a lot harder (fewer cheap removal spells target enchantments, and your other opponents have no reason to remove the effect).
